He's underrated and I love that. Overplayed hits on the radio shoved down my throat don't work for me. Reminds me a lot of Waylon Jennings. Johnny Blue Skies aint half bad either :)
Thank you! No lights, no frills. Just the best dirty southern rock and toil soul review that us relentless Best band in the land right now! Love all the new arrangements he’s done thru the tour, so new and cool fresh
Fellow Blue Skies Travellers are everywhere. Thought I should have hit the road and left my job and family behind for a few months to dead head the tour after making the Gorge show. Turns out space and time don’t matter much for the Blue Skies Travellers… I’ve caught damn every show from my porch, kids baseball game etc. BST thank you fist bump and salute for letting me catch the Georgia show. Thursday was one hell of a show. Call to Arms was the closing song. He was making the great rock guitarists such as Gary Rossington and Jimi Hendrix proud with what felt like a minimum of 5-10 minutes of absolutely insane guitar solos. 10/10, would see in concert again.
Ever since Bob Weir sent Sturgill about 60 Grateful Dead songs recently for him to practice for the upcoming Dead Fest in Mexico, he's been channeling Jerry.
Spent like $160 on floor tickets then snuck up into a bunch of vacated seats up there around where this video was took lol. What a great 3 1/2 hours it was. Will probably travel up to Boston to see him again. Nothing quite like it.
Amazing concert! Thanks for capturing. 🫶 "Juanita" has held a special place in my heart since my dog passed two years ago. Hearing this new heart-wrenching, soulful version moved me to absolute tears for the whole duration. This show was the day after her gone-inversary. So happy to have this recording to remember. 🎶❤
@AmfIII we were row C...at bottom! Bought beer in pairs lol And luckily took turns running up to buy them....that after show climb up those stairs is a lil fuzzy today 🤣
Went to rupp & Nashville shows debating on headed to Va 🤌🙌 best shows iv ever seen hands down , 2 shows, 7 hrs of melting faces , best money ever spent 🤗
3.5 hours of the best jam session I’ve ever seen. Nobody like Sturgill.

Saw him in the same venue a week before Covid lockdown. Played Sound & Fury start to finish and a looooong call to arms. Incredible show.
