They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What may seem an eyesore to one person, just might be a beautiful masterpiece to another. There are places beloved by communities and protected in the hearts of those that hold their memories of its tattered hallways and decayed rooms dear. This is the way that we feel when we explore places that have been forgotten by time. Left to rot and decay and only holding the silent whispers of what once was. We know that there are people out there with malicious intent toward these places that we venture into. It saddens us when we see the filth and destruction they leave behind, but we want to make something very clear… We are explorers and lovers of history. We in no way, shape or form condone the criminal activities that take place in the historical decaying places that we document. Social media has brought many of these places to the limelight, but the intention is to show the beauty and mystery of abandonment. Not to invite trouble. Trouble will find its way on its own and to say that the peaceful documentation of these places leads to criminal activity, is mind blowing. We have met so many amazing fellow explorers in our travels and are so thankful and humbled by the positive responses we have received. We know that this type of exploration is not for everyone…many people don’t understand why we find such beauty in decay, we can only explain it as a beautiful journey into the past. We invite you to watch our explores and come along as we visit these amazing places. As for the criminal activity that occurs, those individuals are responsible for their own actions. It is a terrible part of our society, but reality, nonetheless. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for loving this location just as much as we do. We hope that through this video, the memories held within will remain.
Love your videos! It’s sad that people do such things to historical sites. How did you gain access my friends and I have been looking for somewhere to investigate and explore. Thank you for all you do!
Loved this! Thank for getting in there and getting us the footage. I heard what sounded like voices, right after you mentioned the moan.. I thought you had company!
Thank you Annette! There wasn’t much left inside to see. I was hoping there was a morgue but I couldn’t find one! I heard noises and a voice a couple times but I was the only one in there!!!
@@JMExplorations unfortunately, one of the cottages was burnt to the ground Saturday night/early Sunday morning. So the area is off limits for the foreseeable future
SUPER cool explore! That place is super dingy and nasty! Just the way I like them. Checked off all the boxes; random Christmas tree, random chair, and random room full of random appliances. Great video quality too, I assume this was done with your DJI Pocket 2? Good one M!
I think someone knew you were coming and planted the Christmas tree there for you. lol. I gotta give you credit having the stones to go into that place. I wouldn't. I've had some crazy I guess you could say paranormal experiences at one particular place as did relatives and co workers and I've never forgotten. When I saw that chair in this video in the middle of the aisle at 13:29 I instantly thought of the wheelchair in Grave Encounters ..lol Thanks for doing these videos I'm having a great time going through them.
The building is essentially a sound structure. Its ashame that it has been abandoned. It could be readily divided up into small rooms and provide shelter to homeless people and help them make a transition back to self- reliant wage earners. What a waste.
I’m still rewatching your videos. 😂❤️. I don’t know if my ears are playing with me or not but at about 15:22, it sounds like something said “GET OUT”. Can you take a look and listen and see if you hear it or is it something else?
I listen to it a bunch of times too and the more I played it back, the clearer it sounded like “GET OUT!!”. 😳. I probably would have 💩 my pants if I was there and heard that. 😂. Especially if I was alone.
If I’m not mistaken, that is Cedarcrest Hospital mental facility and it was a horrible one. I was there years ago very scary and awful place with awful people that work there they did things to people that are unforgivable.
It's amazing to me if it's accessible and safe enough for people to do what this gentleman is doing that more homeless or migrants don't use it for shelter, especially in the winter or shitty weather months. Such a waste of a resource to let buildings like these to rot and the land unused especially when we have a huge problem nowadays with the aforementioned. Be safe ✌🏽🇺🇲
Was there back years ago with a friend. Some friends of his were filming a low budget horror movie . I live in the area i go hiking right down the road from there nice spot for that . I recall when the place was open and hearing horrible things.
Is that the hospital in Meriden Ct?..CT?... altebello?..it looks like it I was there in 81/82...I was 13 . And at the point in the video..5.25 about that room or rooms..was the floor rec room..back in the day it had a pool table, books ,games. A piano ,etc...of course that's if it's the same place.
Came here with my friends some years ago and when we got to the square area in the beginning of the video there were all of these crushed pine cone looking things almost perfectly lined up around the pavement, then we realized they were SQUIRREL TALES one by one by one. We started counting and I think we found 12 or 15. And as we were looking for more we came across a flattened fox carcass. And a dead badger under one of the building. Definitely a predator living there 🤣

Same, it's right up the road from me. At least what's left of it. Super creepy. I couldn't wait to leave honestly. Lol
Excellent video of a mental facility it's just amazing how they went through the whole thing 💯👍
Great video, good to see some of these creepy places during the day! ❤

The giant teal room next to kitchen looks like a cafeteria, maybe employee lounge.

Great explore 👍👍👍nice to see its not been totaly trashed amd vandalised 😁
Thank you!! There wasn’t much left to trash!! Lol
Its currently mothballed, the top two floors are completed gutted. The building is now completely fenced in as of mid September
Going to be interesting to see what mohegan sun builds on the site.
Is that the plan to tear it down and rebuild something?
Was this the old Norwich CT State Hospital?
Cedarcrest in Newington!

Yeah the building did seem pretty safe and had strong bones!

Many of the buildings that we explore have homeless in them but for some reason this one didn't!
It does now be safe

Is this the Newtown hospital?
Cedarcrest in Newington!
There’s a whispering voice at 7:08
Ohhhh….We will check that out!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!!
I heard it.
My first thought, life is really going to suck if the batteries in that camera die before you get out of there.
I had extras!!! lol
Could this building be Undercliff Hospital? It looks just like it.
This is Cedarcrest in Newington which is similar to Undercliff!!

If our tax $$$ built it , it’s a shame that the building couldn’t be rehabbed and put to usefulness again.
