Love your aesthetic in this. The outfit, the hair, the multicolor nails, etc. Just a cool fashion vibe that goes well with the music, which is great as always. :)
Nice to hear this tune again! Believe it or not but it was maybe the 4th or 5th tune I learned on nyckelharpa, only by myself & by ear. The end of the A part was an excellent exercise for climbing on the keybox.
You did such a great job performing and describing this tune. It is so precise and beautiful and it is such a great idea to have the beautiful map where you are able to pinpoint the origin of this tune. So much better in every way than any of my video you tube performances. It seems to be such a masterful effort. I love hearing the nyckelharpa. It is such a genius and unique instrument.
Really well played! Fits great on the hammered dulcimer. Also wanted to say that there’s another benefit with this video format: if you have a longer playthrough (instead of playing each part just once, like your previous vids), it’s better for practicing by playing along with the vid.
It has the same open strings as a viola/alto violin - but technically it is not called an "alto nyckelharpa", but a 4-rows nyckelharpa. What you call "soprano" is called fiddleharpa or fiolharpa in Swedish =)
@@EmelieWaldken Thanks for your asnwer and explanations! I asked because I looked at Jean-Claude Condi's website and the 1st nyckelharpa model exist in 2 versions "alto" and soprane" so I was wondering what's the difference and which nyckelharpa is the most played.
Hello Emelie, Just a thought came to mind whilst playing this tune I quite liked playing it with a G# on the first climb up it may not be original though but gives it a mysterious quality I feel. Let me know what you think. Thank you for posting your wonderful music.
Well played! Where did you learn the tune? It is one of the most popular ”polskorna” here in Närke, I have been playing it since I was a child. I have a nice ”andrastämma” too 🎶💗🎻
Helt underbart!
I fell in love with this tune!! Such a beautiful song!
One of my favourite tunes!
Mooi meisje met lange vlechten, wat speel je mooi. Ga door met die mooie muziek op dat prachtige instrument. Bravo, applaus 🎉
Wow. Very beautiful sound!
Lovely
Never seen or heard, but sounded very nice!

Thank you ! The nails are for helping nyckelharpa players to see which finger is which, so it's easier to learn the tune ;)
@@EmelieWaldken That makes total sense! Wouldn't have even occurred to me. Guess it's just a bonus that it looks good.
@@EmelieWaldken Aha! I wondered if that was the case. Very nice.
@@EmelieWaldken So, a twenty-first century variant of the Guidonian hand for nøkkelharpe beginners. 😎
Brilliant, so happy your Patreon site will teach how to play this lovely tune.
Great job, Emelie!
Really groovy! 👌😎

Damn, you didn't start with the easiest ones it seems ^^ It IS a great exercise though.

I've never heard this instrument before it's awesome :D
Great tune. On a pointless side note, the hair looks great too
Thank you
Väl spelat! Och ja, väldigt gruvig haha!

Thanks for the insight about the format ! And great that it fits well on the plonk =)
Oh hell yeah.
Thats such a cool instrument! It looks really difficult to play though lol
It's quite similar to a violin.

Thank you ! I'm working on some new stuff ;)
I always hear you say "Hey Pookies" instead of Hey Folkies and I think its great
Hej POOKIES =D
Hi,
Great playing! Do you play an alto or soprano nyckelharpa? Thanks for your answer.

@@j.m.s.7418 Then it's the alto we're talking about. It's the most common type and with the biggest range.
@@EmelieWaldken Ok great! Thanks again for answering! Have a nice day!

Ooh that's an interesting variation, I wouldn't have thought of it myself ! It's nice to experiment with the modes and scales !
