I am concerned on many levels about her physical and mental wellbeing , and I hope the Strictly production team who have a duty of care, and the people close to her are genuine, and put her well being first. At the moment I am not seeing that. I am uncomfortable that she is possibly being encouraged to do three high energy dance routines in a row with complex lifts, when she is clearly severely injured.and less taxing alternatives have not been suggested.I know this is her dream and they want to facilitate it, but they need to manage her expectations or risk permenant damage. There is talk of her being a trooper, pushing though,being a fighter, being resilient, but she is also a human being and this expectation that she be constantly strong is wrong. It upset me to see her struggling to attend interviews, today as the strictly bandwagon continued as if nothing has happened. Now is the time for people close to her to show with actions ,not just words that they really care about her.

They did the exact same thing when Janette's parter Will Bayley dropped out a few years ago, he was on ITT saying "I'll be fine, I'm trying to stay positive" then two days later back to say he was withdrawing

I loved this interview, in terms of how affectionate they were, but hated this interview at the same time - despite reminiscing about the joyous semi final, it felt like such a sombre final ITT appearance for both of them, when they have brought such joy all series! I'm genuinely really sad about the whole thing, and the awful timing of it. Really hope they can power through, like Kara Tointin in the 2010 Strictly final, but those dances are so demanding, especially when the injuries are so severe. Just hope it all comes together somehow in the end, and I'm praying for AJ's healing. As I Christian, I believe God can heal her in time for the final. But whatever happens, she has won her prize in Kai. :)

Janette is lovely and it must have been hard trying to do an interview when they're clearly upset and it's up in the air as to whether they even get to dance in the final but I agree Rylan would have handled it better purely because he's friends with AJ so could offer her that bit of 'friend support' rather than 'presenter support'. I also think they could have done without Janette's 'running to the glitterball' comment when AJ can't currently walk unaided😬 but I guess she was just trying to be positive! Having Rylan there would have made it feel slightly less sad I think🥺

Let's stay positive AJ will be fine, she hasn't torn anything, so there is hope. Even with a days rehearsal, they still smash it. She's.already learnt her show dance and she knows the other two. Personally I would remove the Charleston and put the American Smooth instead. It's slow and magical. The jive and the show dance are energetic enough!

Ok so this is probably my 300th time watching the interview, and I am not sure why people are criticizing Jeanette’s interview style.I would have hated it if she was doing a mournful face and being all gloom and doom. It’s a tv show, there are time restrictions. She has to keep it moving. I think she was sympathetic and she offered Aj a hug which our Big Man Kai took care of on her behalf. You can tell Jeanette loves them. Anyone with a pair of functioning eyes and heart inevitably falls in love with this beautiful couple. Praying for you AJ, if God wills it, you will dance, if not, then every disappointment always turns out to be a blessing. Ajand Kai have won already. I haven’t paid attention like this to Strictly in yearssss,they have ignited something in so many people.

She is hoping to go back into training this afternoon and feels like she can power through it. Craig said he is praying and hoping she makes it and he will miss her if she’s not in the final because she’s so good! Hoping our girl pulls through! No matter what happens now she has shown what a fighter and warrior she is and I hope (God willing) if she is in that final, that twice as many people vote for her after all this! Normally I would not write anything negative about anyone, but this is a terrible interview by Janette. She does not feel the room. AJ is heartbroken, and Janette talks over her, talks about her own jive (once again), talks about running to the glitterball. Plus she kept saying, quickly tell me about.... If they do not have time to listen to their guests and wait for a proper answer, then get rid of some of the other pointless stuff they do on the show. The show is a spin off of Strictly, you would think the most important thing is interviews with the actual contestants. Maybe Janette needs to do something else on the show, but interviewing is not her bag. They should hire AJ after this year.
AJ Hoping you will be able to pull through. Perhaps placing feet in ice cold water will help take the inflammation down. I would imagine for someone who’s never dance before, high impact dancing is going to take its toll on the feet. With any exercise (which lets face it) dancing is. A good period of recovery for the joints although necessary, you’re never going to get in a competition. Looking at them fresh face in week one and now. They must be absolutely exhausted. Well done for getting this far and all the very best for Saturday. 🤞

Aw, shit...as someone who has lived with chronic pain for 30yrs, I'm so sorry but reading her face, she's not going to be able to perform...and they know that already. Unfortunately, after days of being unable to use her foot, with the pain masked by painkillers she'll still be terrified to put any weight or pressure on that foot...and goodness knows how much damage that would cause. I wish her a speedy recovery and hope the Beeb have the decency to offer her a place next year, if she can/wants, where she will, again outshine every other celeb dancer and quite a few pros as well!!!!
You were right but I was hopeful. I hurt my foot last year just from a workout and it took 6 months to properly heal. The foot so many little muscles and it’s no joke to heal - it’s a very slow and long process.
I’m so sad for her. She has injuries that will take weeks - or longer - to heal. I do not think we should expect a dance on Saturday. She should not damage her body any further. She has the right to heal.
I agree still praying for that miracle, and it shall happen. I just think they need to postpone it. Or people will not be happy and people will not watch as most watch for KJ. AJ health is more important. However BBC need to show they care for once and do the right thing, not that fake message they sent under her recent picture.

Ok so this is probably my 300th time watching the interview, and I am not sure why people are criticizing Jeanette’s interview style.I would have hated it if she was doing a mournful face and being all gloom and doom. It’s a tv show, there are time restrictions. She has to keep it moving. I think she was sympathetic and she offered Aj a hug which our Big Man Kai took care of on her behalf. You can tell Jeanette loves them. Anyone with a pair of functioning eyes and heart inevitably falls in love with this beautiful couple.
Praying for you AJ, if God wills it, you will dance, if not, then every disappointment always turns out to be a blessing. Ajand Kai have won already. I haven’t paid attention like this to Strictly in yearssss,they have ignited something in so many people.
I agree mainly with it, it is obvious that she does have love for them. Who doesn’t. However Janet doubting AJ last week. I think was were people kind of felt like hmm 🤔. And just before coming back here to watch the video yet AGAIN ( there’s no point telling me to get a life, I have finally made peace with my shame,) I watched Gethin’s interview with them this morning through a snippet on Twitter, and I could see the difference. Gethin’s style was way better,Jeanette’s lack of experience showed when I compared the two. Aj looked so tired though in Gethin’s interview. Poor girl. I just wish Saturday could be postponed.😩

@@rebelhenz Update from Craig and Tess (they were both on separate interviews this morning). AJ had treatment last night. She is hoping to go back into training this afternoon and feels like she can power through it. Craig said he is praying and hoping she makes it and he will miss her if she’s not in the final because she’s so good! Hoping our girl pulls through! No matter what happens now she has shown what a fighter and warrior she is and I hope (God willing) if she is in that final, that twice as many people vote for her after all this! She thoroughly deserves to lift that glitter ball!!

Normally I would not write anything negative about anyone, but this is a terrible interview by Janette. She does not feel the room. AJ is heartbroken, and Janette talks over her, talks about her own jive (once again), talks about running to the glitterball. Plus she kept saying, quickly tell me about.... If they do not have time to listen to their guests and wait for a proper answer, then get rid of some of the other pointless stuff they do on the show. The show is a spin off of Strictly, you would think the most important thing is interviews with the actual contestants.
Maybe Janette needs to do something else on the show, but interviewing is not her bag. They should hire AJ after this year.
AJ Hoping you will be able to pull through. Perhaps placing feet in ice cold water will help take the inflammation down. I would imagine for someone who’s never dance before, high impact dancing is going to take its toll on the feet. With any exercise (which lets face it) dancing is. A good period of recovery for the joints although necessary, you’re never going to get in a competition. Looking at them fresh face in week one and now. They must be absolutely exhausted. Well done for getting this far and all the very best for Saturday. 🤞

Aw, shit...as someone who has lived with chronic pain for 30yrs, I'm so sorry but reading her face, she's not going to be able to perform...and they know that already. Unfortunately, after days of being unable to use her foot, with the pain masked by painkillers she'll still be terrified to put any weight or pressure on that foot...and goodness knows how much damage that would cause. I wish her a speedy recovery and hope the Beeb have the decency to offer her a place next year, if she can/wants, where she will, again outshine every other celeb dancer and quite a few pros as well!!!!
You were right but I was hopeful. I hurt my foot last year just from a workout and it took 6 months to properly heal. The foot so many little muscles and it’s no joke to heal - it’s a very slow and long process.

I’m so sad for her. She has injuries that will take weeks - or longer - to heal. I do not think we should expect a dance on Saturday. She should not damage her body any further. She has the right to heal.
I agree still praying for that miracle, and it shall happen. I just think they need to postpone it. Or people will not be happy and people will not watch as most watch for KJ. AJ health is more important. However BBC need to show they care for once and do the right thing, not that fake message they sent under her recent picture.

@@rebelhenz there's no way they can postpone anything. Next Saturday is Christmas Day and a lot of the pros will probably be going to their home countries for the holidays. If they left it until after Christmas the hype is gone and no one really cares that much anymore.
