Grief is not a linear thing… that’s one of the things that makes it so hard… be kind to yourself, there is no one way to do grief.. ❤❤❤

I am sorry for your loss, the first year is hard and getting used to having a empty space in your family. I lost my husband I had been with for 26 yrs , July will be 5 yrs and we went from a family of 4 to a family of 3 it was hard the first year when my adult son and daughter would go to a restaurant. You will forever miss your dad , but you will have days that something will trigger some sort of emotion ❤ Hugs to you and your mom and family

Have a wonderful Easter! Yes I totally understand how things have changed. My mom passed away 2 days after Christmas 2022. So, the change of seasons and holidays definitely are very difficult for me and my father and rest of the family. Gluing helps me relax and gather myself🌸💜 Happy Easter!

Abrupt changes are hard and this is the first year that we are not coloring eggs or having an egg hunt. Mind you, all my "kids" are in the 30's and my parents are in their 90"s. It's a bit sad but having brunch may become a new tradition for us. Be kind to yourself with all your "feels" -it's a journey. Nevertheless, have a happy Easter day.

Always have fun hanging out with you. My Dad passed away March 1980 and I still miss him so often. He was my special person. My Mom passed away in December 2014 and my partner, we were together for 30 years, passed away in June 2021, after he had been suffering with kidney failure. I always find the days leading up to their anniversary dates are actually harder than the actual date of their passing. Will be thinking of you this coming week and praying for peace and strength for you and your family. Thank you for your laughter and fun in each episode and I love listening to whatever story you tell us during the video, always brings a smile to my face. You are the best.

Grief is just a weird thing. On the 10th of this month it’ll be 18 years since my mom passed away and I’ve been missing her a lot these last few days. So I completely understand.

Yeah im not good with change either. Cant handle my routine disrupted. One example is when my hubby gets to leave work early i get upset cause my routine is gone. I hate being like this. But i know it could be worse.

My family loved my applesauce too! All I did was cook Cortland apples in the crockpot. That was it, no sugar, just the apples. I did make cinnamon applesauce too. Just the Cortland apples and cinn. Those apples are very hard to find. They are a New England apple. Used to be able to get some here in Mi. , but no more. They were super for baking as well as plain eating!😁. I know exactly what you mean Nicole about family dynamics changing after a parent dies. My Mom died first and NOTHING was EVER the same again, unfortunately. Not holidays, relationships, NOTHING. A lot of backstabbing and lies were started by my father and oldest sister. So, often, everyone was fighting w/everyone. It was kind of " funny" because the only one they all believed was me!!! NOT bragging, I don't know why that was. I came to believe that my Mom was the "glue" in our family. Now it is just me and my older sister (for 7 yrs.). I never hear from her. I got tired of being the fool and the only one who intiated and cared. She lives in Florida and NEVER asks me to come visit. She doesn't even TEXT anymore! She doesn't want to bother w/ me because I have sooo many illnesses and she is scared to death of illness, hospitals, drs. etc. She is very wealthy and very selfish. Like your pg. very much. LOVE the broccoli in the ice cream cone! HA HA!!!! Happy Easter!🤗🤗🤗

Hope there is a chance that you and your sister can, at some stage, get together. It is so sad when there are problems in a family as I am blessed to have two daughters and we are very close. Really don't know what I would have done without them over the passed couple of years. Hope you have some very close friends who take the place of your sister to comfort you during your illnesses. Take care of yourself.
