Are You Using the WRONG Artifact in AFK Journey

Artifacts give the stat bonuses even if they are not equipped! So for example Ironwall Spell gives the Haste + Vitality always, only the bottom bonuses are changed depending on Artifact equipped :)

i upgrade my artifacts which increase hp but I don't see my hero hp change after upgrading the artifacts, does it go into affect when I'm in the battle?

When you hit level 18 you will unlock job mode. You earn currency there that you can exchange for it.
