Miles Nazaire: Beyond "Made in Chelsea" Ep 73

- Опубликовано: 31 май 2023
- Today I’m joined by Made in Chelsea (MIC) star Miles Nazaire. Whilst he may be most known for his role in the hit reality show, he also has a few other strings to his bow. He is one half of the new podcast production company known as Playtime Podcast Production as well as being the host of the new show, Playtime Podcast along with Charlie Radnedge.
Miles first appeared on our TV screens in 2018 as part of the MIC cast and it’s fair to say his reputation with the ladies has been notorious. We talk about the impact of living your life on screen, the doors it’s opened and the mental toll it took in 2022. And you may be surprised to know that Miles actually started life behind the camera, which is what really fuels his creativity.
In this episode Miles and Amira discuss:
- Managing the drama and gossip of a reality show
- How playing a character took a toll on his mental health last year
- How his morning routine sets him up for his day
- Growing up on a council estate
- Microaggression racism on a day to day level
- Dealing with negative press when the facts get twisted
- The different roles within a romantic relationship

I'm a middle aged aussie watching your show Miles,, well Made in Chelsea, I love what I hear here, I understand you much more. x
Always had a massive place in my heart for Miles and this interview has validated what I could see in him and my respect for him has skyrocketed
Thanks for sharing your opinion. And I'm so pleased this interview got to show him being himself. Thanks for listening 💙
There was great flow here Miles was obviously comfortable enough yo open up in the way that he did so well done to the communication expert ❤. Even I learned things about Miles and I’m his Mother 🤗. Very proud of how he is evolving always have been - beautiful 😍 ❤❤
Hahah ah Victoria thank you! Best comment 💙 and given you're one of the people that knows him the best I'm glad I did our episode justice 🙏🏽
@@the_communicationexpert I’m still thinking about it. Very few people get to see the real Miles it’s true so you did amazingly 🫶🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@victorianazaire8330 Honestly the biggest thank you because it means a lot from you. I really wanted to do this episode and him justice and I'm glad it came across this way 💙🙏
@@victorianazaire8330 Hello Mrs Nazaire. 🙋 I was wondering if you could pass on this message to Miles on my behalf? Although I do not know him personally, I have always watched Made in Chelsea and noticed his uniqueness. It is important to me that he feels seen and understood, albeit through a screen. I am on the same path as him (enlightenment/self development/evolution/transcendence/ascension/metamorphosis) and as a female I just want to say that he is beautiful both inside and out, that his true self is good enough. He doesn't have to be something he's not just to please others or fit in and vulnerability is an asset, a superpower not a weakness. It is the feminine energy of allowing/receiving/being that will enable him to harmonise his yin&yang in order to feel whole&complete. ☯️ Vulnerability is key to connection. Home is his heart and he can let go of pain&fear to be free. He is loveable, deserving of love and worthy of it too. He will continue to inspire others by telling his story just like he has been doing through his podcast with Charlie. Even as a female, I myself had difficulties with vulnerability, therefore it is part of the process and he shouldn't ever feel alone. There's a collective community on this same calling, he is one of many starseeds/self healers and it pains me to think of him ever feeling lonely. Please tell him from me it's okay to not follow the crowd, to, instead, live through the principles he was born with, to be his own man redefined from the social norm and independent of mind&spirit. He is a special man who's been through a lot, it's taken its toll on his mental health yet he's forever smiling and laughing. A testament to his resilience&what a blessing he is to the universe! 🥳 🎉 I would be ever so grateful if you could somehow show him this comment if he doesn't come across it personally. Best wishes to all the family. With peace, love and gratitude. 🙏 ♾️ ❤️ 🤗 💪 💫 🌈 🦋
Ah so you're the reason behind the creation of this fine specimen of a man, though he seems like a wonderful human being too, so clearly you did a great job. Props to you
Always thought he was a nice lad...can see through his facade...respect his honesty❤️wish him well in life🙏🙏✨✨✨✨
I found this podcast so interesting. I’m a massive MIC fan and Miles was one of my favourite characters until recently but listening to him explain his role in the programme makes sense. What an articulate, lovely man ❤️
Ah Debbie I'm so pleased it was interesting and explained and showed another side to Miles. 💙
So lovely to listen to an open and honest conversation and having seen Miles throughout MIC and over socials I think this is the bravest thing to date. Such a strength to be vulnerable. Amazing interview ❤x
Thank you Abi! I'm so glad it showed him being vulnerable and open. Thanks for taking time to watch 😊💙x
I’ve followed miles for years and watching him show vulnerability and emotion has been so nice to see. It shows true courage and maturity. He is becoming a good role model for other men and that’s it’s ok to not be ok ❤
Thanks Clare for sharing. It's lovely to hear from someone that's followed him for years and seen him grow 🙏🏽
You are a wonderful human Miles...dont ever forget it
💗💗 im happy people are seeing this side of miles, i never understood the hate he gets he seemed super nice to me from the start
Thank you Fernanda 🙏 I definitely think it's a side that people haven't seen and I'm grateful he was able to be himself.
Normally I flip through podcast quite quickly but this was extremely gripping, really interesting and miles extremely likeable ❤
Thanks for the comment Sonia - I'm so glad it got your attention and kept it! Thanks for watching 💙
This was a really interesting and moving episode. Thank you both for sharing your vulnerability and approaching your discussions with honesty and compassion!
Ah Lucy thank you. Appreciate you watching and I'm really glad we were able to do it justice 😊💙
Absolutely loved this! I've loved Miles since i started watching Chelsea despite people seemingly not liking him. Im always defending him 😃 but this eas beautiful. Very moving. And loved what he said that women/girls are not taught how to treat their men, 🤯 and its hard! Thank you both of you ❤
This was very powerful, everyone should believe in themselves. Miles you are a good person and one day you will meet that women who takes you for who you are and everything that you can give to them not physical things but emotional and support each other in your journey as two people.
Thanks Zoe
Love this love to see miles open up. He is a human being with feelings and a past just like eveyone else. ❤ Also like your style of podcast
nobody thinks he's not human or doesn't have feelings. People just think he has issues and it would be good if he stops dragging other people into them
Thank you, Amira and Miles for sharing your words of wisdom.
Great interview.
Peace, love and light 🙏🏻 ✨️ 💕
Thank you Rosey! Grateful for the love and appreciation🙏
Just discovered this podcast and really enjoying watching this. A lot of depth and vulnerability. You have a really lovely way about you Amira to bring this out, love your quiet confidence 💖
Laura thank you. I truly want every episode to add value, insight and give us space to reflect and check in with ourselves. I'm so glad it's come across in this way and thank you for the beautiful comment about my style 💙
If I could jump into the screen and give Miles a huge hug I would. He just radiates warmth, depth, heat, humanity, love, passion, inner strength&fighting spirit yet has an endearing childlike quality to him that's quite something.🦄 Also, it is a misconception that vulnerability is a weakness. It takes an extraordinary amount of courage to put oneself in a place of vulnerability. When we do it, we do it to help/heal others. 🙏 ❤️ 🕉️ ☯️ 🤗 💪 💞 🌟 ✨
But he IS a total heart-breaker & continually lets women down in relationships! He’s not just ‘playing a character’ because he has a long trail of broken & disappointed hearts behind him!
@@shelleysanders9666 Hurt people hurt people until they learn to go of the pain/trauma that they have experienced. With that lingering in his chest there could be blockages in his heart which prevent him from truly connecting with anyone for lengthy periods of time, hence jumping from situation-ship to situation-ship and/or searching for love yet simultaneously running away from it. He's also ego based hence why he's out of touch with himself and others. I also suspect he hasn't told us the full extent of a turbulent childhood/schoolhood which might have left scars (which are prevalent in all of us to some extent, granted). He will probably continue to break hearts until he learns to let go of anger/bitterness/resentment/pain/past relationships etc which is holding him back. Then, with an overt heart, he can break the cycle of causing pain/emotionally hurting others. This usually happens when encountering a member of one's soul tribe/soulmate/kindred spirit. I've been in his shoes therefore I understand the process. It's a lot deeper than surface level TV & there's more to people than meets the eye. ✨
@@MandyD445 He's hung up on Maeva
Such a beautiful young man
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
This was a real eye opening talk. I loved the fact that Miles was really relax and talked freely. Deep and warm!
Thank you to both of you!❤
Thanks Jacques for the gorgeous comment. Really appreciate it 💙😘
Brilliant interview, thank you both for touching on some really important issues that often get pushed aside or hidden. So glad we got to see this side of Miles, one of my on MIC. Inspiring and real conversations and learning much more about Miles we don't see.
I get what he said ...as I see life as a music video at times...it's an artist thing I think😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow amazing interview. You asked such great and deep questions, so interesting! And love Miles from mic, so true what you were both saying! 😊
Thank you for the wonderful feedback I appreciate it. I wanted it to be a real open conversation and give our listeners food for thought and different perspectives 💙
He's right I never knew him till now . I was going to move on at the beginning from this interview cos of what he's shown us but this was fascinating . His family back ground is fascinating . Miles is right his dad's a book
Ah Claire I'm so pleased you stayed to watch it. Thank you for giving it a chance and I'm so glad it gave you a different insight into his family life too. 😊
This was a lovely interview!
Thank you Melanie 💙
Amazing podcast. I relate to Miles I’m so many ways. 🙏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for listening! And I love that you can relate to him 🙏🏼
This was a very interesting interview. Nicely done.
Thank you 🙏🏼 I appreciate it
Very lovely discussion
Thanks Iorna I'm really glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏽
This Is a breath of fresh air. I'm Caribbean and we are all mixed and it is never talked about until miles. In the north its very racist
Thanks Reuben for sharing. I think our experience as people with a mixed heritage isn't talked about as much so it was lovely to have the space to do this. 💙
Interesting - this is is first time I have ever seen miles acknowledge that he is mixed. He normally says my mum is from Kent and my dad is French when his dad is from a French speaking Caribbean country.
I’m glad he finally acknowledged the fact that he’s mixed. He always said his dad was French.
Loved this 💙
Thanks Lauren - really glad 💙😘
Me too, so much honesty and authenticity. 💯 👏🏻
Hello to both of you Meghan always said she was white as a younger person , she brought her mixed race to the fore, when she met Harry , her mother was not around for many years , so people would not have known about her heritage
Thank you for this. It was so refreshing to hear more of who Miles really is. It was moving and inspirational to hear both of you speak of your experiences and views around racism and also Meghan Markle.
Julia thank you for the beautiful comment. I wanted this episode to show Miles as a human and I don't always share my experiences and opinions when I'm interviewing so thank you for hearing our experiences 💙🙏🏽
Fascinating
Really glad you enjoyed it 👌🏽
This is a brilliant interview, love the questions! I’m so pleased to get to know the real Miles after watching all of Chelsea. But… is anyone else thinking why does he keep saying he’s got a posh well spoken accent? He sounds like an Essex boy! It’s very easy to tell the difference x
Think I'm a bit late on the comments but better late than never 😏
I've been a huge fan of Miles since he first came on MIC even when people were hating, I was still a fan because I believe we are all in the process of metamorphosis 🐛🦋 changing, growing and evolving daily.
Your growth and wisdom is palpable Miles 💙
This was an amazing podcast/interview, thanks Amira 🙏🏽
Ah I'm so glad you commented. Always better late than never! And I'm so glad you've been a fan and I agree. We're all growing and evolving and having a career on TV means you do it in the public eye. Thank you for listening and I'm so pleased you enjoyed it 💙
I'd like to see Miles in a proper relationship again...
Interesting but I can’t help suspecting that seeing yourself as the centre of an ongoing movie is a textbook symptom of narcissism!
Thanks for the comment H T. I can see why you may think this, however I think in the context of this discussion I don't think it quite qualifies as narcissism.
This too shall pass 🧩
💫💯
I am of mixed race but look white as do most of my family some Aunties look darker than others but I’ve never been question about my heritage and I never had options on either side there were crap white peoples here were crap black people i have gay cousins so was brought up that peoples sexuality wasn’t a issue it was just the way it was. I’ve always thought that not everything is about race when someone says something it’s not always racist sometimes it’s others who make it a racial issue. I remember as a kid in primary school a black family move in up the street from South Africa and we all asked him to come out and play and his parents said he couldn’t and then things started to come up that his father was waiting for a train and he waited for train after train until someone asked him why he hadn’t got on a train and he replied that he was waiting for the train for black people. We grew up in a ministry of housing area and it was quite rough area but none f us kids knew anything different we had Scottish, English,Irish, Italian, Greek but there was not one black South African family and it took them by surprise that the colour of their skin made no difference to any of us but it took them along time to feel comfortable not so much the kids cause we were kids we went to the same school we played in the same neighbourhood but it took the parents a bit to understand that there was no black peoples trains their was no black peoples buses no black peoples tea rooms we all ate together we sat together we played together we all went to the same schools this was back in the 70s so a different time to now and back then people could be racist or bullies and you didn’t run home crying from school that the teacher gave you detention or the cuts cause your parents would of kicked your ass and asked what you did for the teacher to give you a punishment, the police would give you a kick up the bum if they caught you doing something wrong and you didn’t ever tell your parents cause you would be in more trouble but today is a lot different today the teachers can’t say boo to you the kids hit swear and don’t listen to the teachers, you can say anyone is bullying you but the bullies don’t get punished because you can’t punish anyone, you might say something that someone doesn’t like and all of a sudden you’re a racist or bully when it’s someone else’s issue not your own cause someone thinks in their own head that what you said is racist. It’s not always about race until someone who had nothing to do with a situation says it’s racist and I’m not saying that racism isn’t around anymore because it is I’m just saying that sometimes it’s other people who turn it into racism
Does Miles have a skill or education or is he just a reality star? What is his job?
his job is promoting scams on Instagram, and his fans are either super young or sad old ladies who think he's cute
People identify you with your character and forget your an actor playing a role.
Your parents went hungry to feed you....🤷♀️ its called life and it happens every day
Oh your parents couldn't feed you at some point?.welcome to reality!
I always liked Miles, I loved him with Maeva a lot. Much better than James 🤮
Both your views on Megan and Harry are hugeeee green flags 💕💕🫶🏼🫶🏼
Thanks Sareena - appreciate it. As a coach I rarely share my views so thank you for the beautiful feedback 💙
How does she call herself the communicator expert when she really doesn’t know how to listen and let alone ask interesting questions . This was painful sorry . Ugh 😩
Thanks for the feedback we'll take this on board 👌🏽
I disagree, it felt like it was more of a conversation than a strict 'interview' format
@@the_communicationexpert this was a great interview Amira, ignore the haters.
@@khayaburrell thank you! Conversational style is definitely the goal with my podcast and when you're listening/watching I want you to feel that you're part of the conversation too. 😊💙
@@mercyo9073 Truly grateful Mercy 🙏
There's no misconceptions. Miles is a womaniser! He leads women on, and then dumps them. I've just watched the latest ep of MIC, and within a few days of introducing new date Jane, he tells her it's not working out!!!!! He just enjoys the chase.
Miles is a very narcissistic and immature person .
Terrible interviewing skills. Word salad, repeating back to interviewee what they have just said and no insight whatsoever
Thanks for the feedback. It's a shame you didn't enjoy this episode and didn't learn anything from it. My podcast is conversational rather than interviewing style and isn't for everyone. Thanks for giving it a go.
