- In this never-seen-before video, Reb Moshe is Davening Shacharis in Mesivta Tifereth Jerusalem, located in New York's Lower East Side. The footage was taken in 1984, approximately two years before his passing. Also seen is Rabbi Michel Berenbaum, the Mashgiach of the Yeshiva.

This is beautiful footage! Was this on Purim 1984? I was at MTJ around that time frame and I only saw the Rosh Yeshiva attend Tefilla once at MTJ, on Purim. I believe it would have been Purim 1984.

Yes, that is Rabbi Bluth a"h, together with Rabbi Mordechai Tendler yblc"t, assisting the Rosh Yeshiva after davening.
If you look carefully, you can see that the Rov is wearing a gartel under the frock coat. Rav Abramsky zatzal was asked why he didn't wear a gartel. He answered that you only put a gartel on the outside when the Sefer is possul!
In other words, you are pointing out something very trivial, which you think would be successful in bringing down the kavod of the late posek ha-dor. Terrific.
By the way, that remark about the possul sefer Torah has been attributed to dozens of gedolim.
