This will be a dope series and I love the fact that you started with The Massacre. It's such a fucking classic to me being a huge 50 fan that I am and I still listen to it to this day. Just two things I wanna point out. 1) 50 won "Writer of the Year" in 2005 for all the hits on The Massacre & The Documentary, 2) When 50 was touring for GRoDT all over the world, he ended up getting kind of fat so that's why the album cover has those lines it because he drew them in to make up for some of the gains he lost lmao

As a big 50 fan, I so wish that 'How We Do' would've been on The Masscare. Hate it or Love it was somewhat on the album because of the G-Unit remix. Higher and Westside Story have more of a West Coast type feel so it wouldn't really make sense for those to be on 50's album since he's East Coast. But How We Do, man, that's the one that 50 should have kept for himself.

Piggy Bank was and still is a favorite of mine. The buzz around that song was crazy at the time
That song sparked the massacre of 50 cent. lox (Jadakiss, styles p and sheek louch) slayed G unit with that barrage of disses that game picked up on shortly after and did the same thing to smother 50 and g unit. Fat Joe's my fo fo, shyne for the record, gza paper plates, yukmouth, cbo and z ro, Hussein fatal of the outlawz teaming up with ja. Even afroman gave 50 a small tap on whack rappers. Eventually ended up being 50s downfall and him and g unit stopped selling records at the same numbers they were used to they never came close.

If I can't and piggy bank are my two funnest songs to listen from 50
Its always hard for any artist to top their 1st album and live up to expectations but The Massacre is very aggressive. Love it. Knocked a dozens of rappers with one stone on Piggy Bank, Ski Mask Way and Position of Power had that monster feel to it, I'm Suppose to Die Tonight told a dark story. 50 can ride beats and paint a picture. Sux Game didnt pledge his loyalty to G Unit through thick and thin but the album is still a classic to this very day beginning to end.

The Massacre is my fav album by 50. I think is whole another level for him musically. The production is incredible and whole aesthetic of sounding, even 50 voice sound different. GRODT was phenomenal but it was record in Sha Money’s basement. I think The Massacre got lot more professional sound. Always think this project being underrated because nobody really talks about it like that. Thank you for your work.

Underrated album. I always thought How We Do, Higher, Hate it or Love it were better for the The Massacre album because even as a 9 year old they always sounded like 50 Cent type beats. Here I am now finding out he pretty much gave The Game those songs to help him out. I still that they are 50 Cent songs featuring The Game. If he would of kept 1 single, Higher and 1 more of the other songs he gave Game this would be his best project.

My favorite song from 50 Cent The Massacre is hands down.... "Ryder Music" the beat is so tight its a laid back vibe, it's timeless. When I'm 105 years old and my getting pushed in a wheelchair by my great great grandson, I'm going have a stereo in my wheelchair and as I'm rolling down the retirement home, all you'll hear is, "this is what you call rider music, all the gangsters are riding to it."

I mean GRODT is a absolute pefect debute classic overall 10/10 successfull everything, but there is something more sofisticated about the massacre...it sounds so unique...like a romantic mafioso gangsta rap album and its also a album that 50 did it more his own way like the vid mentioned not much help from Dre or Eminem etc feels more personal and also think younger people will love GRODT more untill they reach a certain age or point in their life they will appreciate the massacre more... idk lol its just a masterpiece.....

Just want to clear some things up about 50's involvement in Games The Documentary, and a couple other things in this video not mentioned.
*Westside Story* This track was not meant for The Massacre. It was always meant for The Documentary. 50 wrote the hook as a feature for Snoop Dogg to sing. There's a version out there with Snoop doing the hook.. 50 did not write Game's verses. Game's style in rhyming is much different and the beat sounds like a West Coast inspired instrumental. There's no 50 Cent version of this song solo for The Massacre
*Hate it or Love it* The beat was for The Massacre but became a collaboration track between the two. This song may have appeared on The Massacre featuring The Game. 50 did not write Games verses. He wrote the hook and the bridge. Game claims he wrote his part in the hook. Dr. Dre and Cool & Dre did the beat.
*Higher* Meant for The Massacre, 50's solo version has different verses than Games version and the song is about sex. He wrote the intro part on his and Games version, Game kept the I Can Take You Hiyyahh part in his hook but made the whole song into a gangsta party track. He wrote his own verses over 50's and even altered the hook with different lyrics. Games version turned out better so Dr. Dre probably picked Games version to put out
*How We Do* Meant for The Massacre. An attempt to do another In Da Club. 50 did not write Games parts but Game used a couple of the same lines. 50 obviously wrote the hook
*Church For Thugs* 50 wrote the hook for Game did not write his verses.
*Special* Hook was written by 50 for Nate Dogg to sing. Besides 50 writing the hook it could of been for The Massacre or for The Documentary, until we hear 50's version if it exists we can't say he wrote Games parts. This song could have been a hit.
Even without Hate it or Love It, How We Do and Higher it still be a classic album. 50 had nothing to do with song's like Dreams, Put You on The Game, Start From Scratch. So this exaggeration that 50 wrote half the album needs to stop
Also, Dr. Dre mixed 11 songs on The Massacre. Produced and co produced 3. Dre's touch is on half the album. In this video you say that Dre barely did anything except give approval

When the massacre came out I bought both of 50s albums and I was 5. I fell in love with rap music. I also bought his movie and the soundtrack after when it came out.
This was my first 50 cent album and my favorite overall, I had the clean version for the longest and I damn near memorized all the lyrics, so when i first heard the explicit version I was surprised especially on the intro cause you don’t hear the gunshots on the clean version. Overall this was a great video!

I would say from a songwriting standpoint he massacre is definitely his best 50 even admitted it was over written …my standout tracks are “in my hood” “ski mask away” a “Baltimore love thing” “position of power” “just a lil bit” and “ I don’t need’em”
I remember running out and buying this album and got home and went through it, damn I was very disappointed and only liked the song gatman and robin but the more I listened to it over the years the more I was diggin it, it definitely grew on me but that gatman and robin with 50 and em is nuts.

7:17 scottish girl i was 15 when 50 came out and had tickets to anger management 2003 at hampden park. 50 cancelled due to double booking the roc the mic tour with jay z and the hot97 summer jam. i also seen him the october at the Glasgow s.e.c.c. 2 mental amazing concerts.

Why this Album didint get a Grammy for best rap Album, i mean this Album is 10x better than late registration
In reality The Massacre is a classic. And if 50 would’ve kept the songs he gave Game, it would be game over in the history books. He would’ve sold way more first week as well if it wasn’t for the leak. Only reason the massacre isn’t highly regarded and mentioned is because that GRODT cloud is too crazy. His debut album is an All time classic.

I def don't think it will ever be as great as Get Rich, but 50 knew what he was doing with the sexy club bangers he leaked/released. When I first heard about the songs he gave The Game years ago, I was angry. Made me dislike him (The Game) even more, like HOW DARE YOU. The Game wouldn't be who he is without 50 considering most of the shit he's come out with after, has been shit.
