I really don’t understand all of these complaints about Shadow supposedly breaking the timeline. For one thing, it’ll probably just be a skin like LEGO Sonic. There’s no indication that his presence in Superstars will be canon in the slightest. Additionally, many of these complaints often come off as hypocritical due to the addition of modern Amy’s clothes, which again, have no indication of being canon. It’s okay to include references, under the condition that they’re fun and not just fan-service.
