Hi there, do you do reviews or would you consider doing on larger vans say 6 to 8 metres. You seem to explain things in a normal easy way to understand. Just a thought. Regards Graham & Glen. 😊
I think that if there is a 'deal breaker' on this particular van, it would be having to keep the pop-up 'up button' depressed for such a lengthy time. I fail to see the purpose if the roof automatically stops when it reaches full height anyway. If you were able to push the button once and start setting up things outside or simply going for a walk or whatnot, it would not be an issue. Knaus need to fix that immediately.
Lovely van but i dont see any advantages in the pop up roof as its over 2M high so it won't be able to get under height barriers, and also its a big disadvantage in respect of storage , the only advantage is probably fuel efficiency , but if you can afford such a van i dont think youd be thinking of fuel efficiency , but it would still be a nice van for some people Thanks for a great review as always
Love the design and the engineering but not being able to use the bed with the roof down is a bit of a problem in the UK. I’m sure they could engineer the bed to move up and down as well
Not just the UK. Japan too. For some unknown and unfathomable reason, you aren't allowed to put up a pop-up in a Service Area, Parking Area (think Motorway services) or a 'Michi-No-Eki' (Road Station - like motorway services, but on ordinary roads). That's two countries already and if there are two, there are likely more. So your point is a very good one.
Hi, a bit odd that the bedroom mattress sits half way up the windows. Also, with bedding in place it’s unlikely you would see out these windows. Interesting but don’t feel it will sell well.
I'm new to the campervan and motorhome world and it was your review of the Knaus Boxlife XL which lead to my decision to eventually go for a Knaus 600MQ with pop top. Ticked all the boxes for me apart from it being on a Fiat Ducato chassis which I hope I don't regret going forward. Saw this model at the NEC and didn't pay much attention to it but after watching your in depth review I can't see the point of a pop top that you can't sleep in and the loss of storage space for extra head height seems a poor trade off. The faff faff involved in setting up the shower I think would soon become very annoying for most people. However purely my opinion and I am sure some people will absolutely love it. Taking delivery of the MQ next month, both excited and nervous and if I ever bump into you on the road I think I owe you a drink or two for steering me in the right direction.
Great video again, thanks! The front of this van seems pretty well-designed and spacious. But honestly, the lack of kitchen storage (less than a Cali Ocean as far as I can see) plus the very strange engineering decisions taken around extending the bathroom to make a shower space make this one a hard no. An absolute faff which could have been avoided with a conventional bathroom design. I also think - despite the space inside - this van would feel very claustrophobic due to the tiny windows. Surely they could have at least put one in the door. I think this van will be remembered as a strange oddity and doubt it will have a long sale life.
Just spent four nights at the caravan and camping club near Alton towers four adults and two children costing over three hundred pound dismayed to find i could have booked a room at Alton towers for far less and imcluding tickets in the theme park as well as a full English Breakfast.
Theme Park tickets, hotel and breakfast for 4 adults and 2 kids for 4 nights being less than £300??? I want to know where you’re looking because that’s the real bargain here!
Looks like the worst of all worlds to be honest. Great to see it can be done but can’t really see the application. By the way - it’s pronounced K-naus. In German you pronounce the K. 👍🏻
I hate to say it, but I think this is over-engineered in an attempt to solve a problem it doesn’t really solve. Would love to see you give this a real-life test to test its practicality.
Hi guys, someone really though about this MH but to much £ but because you can drive under barriers it's OK for only 1 vehicle, didn't really think about rear door hiding the air vent ! Can't sleep without putting roof up !!! How many times at 2am woken but high winds ! Like the concept but could do better.
I'm an armchair critic, with hardly any recent real world experience of using campervans. Therefore, feel free to ignore me. I do however, still feel obliged to point out that this conversion is particularly poor compared to anything I've ever seen. Very impractical and I would say it would probably only really help very tall people.
This is possibly the worst designed van I have ever seen. Seems to me it was created by someone who hates campervans. And then there's the price tag 😳 I wouldn't give them £9k for it, let alone £95k. Truly truly awful. Sorry to anyone who likes this monstrosity, but it definitely is not for me 😂

Looks sweet but couldn’t get over those rear wheels they need some 500mm spacers 🤣🤦♂️

Very exciting times for you. Thank you very much and I’ll never turn down a drink 😂 Enjoy!
Don’t think this concept will catch on. Total lack of storage. Cannot use inside with roof down. So much faffing about when setting up shower.
13:30 ‘hairy cardboard’ is the technical term.
Lucky there's two remotes. The battery won't last long holding the button down for that long....
😂
surely ther ear wheels need pushing out into the wheel wells a bit more?? Must make it handle like an old mattress, really spoils the look of the van.
Great video again, thanks!

Bathroom or Punch or Judy tent 😂
😂
Omg that toilet and shower looks like a total pain in the @rse. Having a lick around with a bowl of water and a flannel would be easier 😅😂
What's the point of the roof .
It’s a Rubbix Cube van!

Hi, the K is pronounced, unlike in English, so it’s “K-naus”
I kinda think it has a bit of an ambulance look about it.
Don’t really see the point, if it can’t get under 2m there’s no point in a poptop over a high top
This has turned into a shopping channel sadly
I hate to say it, but I think this is over-engineered in an attempt to solve a problem it doesn’t really solve. Would love to see you give this a real-life test to test its practicality.
We’d love to give one a try too!

The track of the rear wheels looks daft - so far inset.
That’s how all the cool kids run their Saxos isn’t it 😂
Can’t see many of these getting sold ,not worth 95 , roof ridiculously slow

Pointless

Over engineered and that washroom is wayyyy to fiddly.
I don't like It at all, bloody awful design.
It like it's been given to a bunch of design students to build a camper. Far to many gimmicks.
What an awful vehicle!!! I guess it’s a ‘CamperHome’ with its lift up roof. But I would rather camp in a tent and it’s certainly not a home! Oh dear…
