How to Create a Gold Stencil Christmas Cake

I am bringing the gold! Oh so much of it. Here we have a completely gold painted Christmas cake :D This would work wonderfully as an engagement cake with colourful floral decorations as well, but for Christmas purposes, I have decorated with fake holy and and Christmas florals. The cluster dust that I recommend using is the Rolkem Super Gold (I ran out so I had to use a different one, but I would suggest the Rolkem brand as they tend to be 100% edible. Always best to check the label just in case though). I mixed my luster dust with rosewater spirit, but you can also use lemon juice or white vinegar instead :)

I’ve never done a crumb coat with anything other than white or matching the color of my top coat for fear of bleeding through. Do you ever have issues with that? What a great idea to use up leftover frosting! Beautiful cake!
