Ignore the negative comments, these are people who wouldn't have the guts even think of doing something like you do. Ive done a Ultra before and any negative comments do effect your mind thoughts. Some people are weak and hind behind things, that's life. Stay strong and keep focused and ill be watching your videos.
So many things to reply to here :D - I love watching your videos, your passion and mentality and sheer determination is really great to sponge off of. - Loved the way you said not giving others the steering wheel to your path, will think of that myself - RUclips: if it makes one person inspired and happy from that video, that is has done a good job, and if you find it fun, then that also is equally good enough. I think the same, I have more subscribers, but not so many watching, but then check myself in and say.... if I inspire 3 people from that video to do some positive change, it was and is worth it for me. - Those challenges, wow, so epic ones, look forward to following along on them. - Finally, great to watch this video, thanks
Good to see you back and some mental challenges ahead. Often peoples doubts expressed to someone else are actually an flaw in their personality. To me it shows that they sit within thier comfort zone and have some how convinced themself that a challenge is not possible. Despite even trying it themselves or even knowing where the end of thoer comfort zone is. Flip it on its head Craig and show that in fact with the right mindset, goals and tough challenges can be smashed. And understnad that failure will happen but failure is good failure is what drives us, what motivates us what scares us. Without failure where would we be. Keep at it mate. Hopefully bump into you soon
In answer to your question, yes I for one am interested in what you have to say. Please keep these videos coming, I glean a great deal of knowledge and support from your no nonsense and 'warts and all' approach. From one ultra marathoner to another thank you. Good luck on the brutal.
I've always done things for me, Always enjoyed seeing what I'm capable of. In some of that I've no doubt buried in there are the negative comments I got growing up that would knock my confidence in ability to achieve or compete. As I've hit targets and goals for me I definitely have that mental thought about those negative people and smile to myself. They never truly new how strong mentally I was to push on. People have respect for my ability to suffer and that weirdly makes me feel very proud. You carry on doing what you do and what gives you that buzz. I certainly enjoy hearing about and watching people suffer and achieve pushing the limits. 👍🏼
Certainly a fan of your videos. You’re building up a community. Just look at this video, 400 views and 60 comments. Ppl would chew their hand off for that kind of engagement. Keep going, it will be worth it. Your videos are helping us. I have a cold but your vids are inspiring me and getting me wanting to get back on my feet.
Keep the videos coming Royal. I really enjoy your no-nonsense approach! I’ve watched a few of yours numerous times - inspirational stuff mate. Good luck with the race, remember, “It’s Only Pain” 😉
Yes, we do love your videos. We love watching you do what seems impossible. I don't like people telling what I can and can't do either but I can ignore them, its my own doubts that are the problem. But I keep choosing to do things that scare the crap out of me and surviving. I think you may have just helped me decide to do a mountainous ultra in the New Zealand bush that scares the crap out of me!
Love the videos Craig - I’m still repeating something you mentioned in previous videos - ‘same shit different depth’ - and that seems to see me through! Cheers👍
Craig I just discovered you. Sounds like a great year ahead. Subscribed so I can see it all. Great to hear that accent. I am a Northern Lad living the dream down here in NZ. Please make more videos I will look forward to them. Good luck and keep plodding along.
Please keep the videos coming they’re inspiring and I like your no bull shit approach. Hope the challenges go well - I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing all about them 👍
I've never been able to get you to do as you were told, but I know what you mean! Other peoples opinions are often negative. Don't let it get to you! It's amazing what you achieve and I don't know many that could! Keep up the good work!
I think those below have nailed quite a few of the things here mate, definitely more than a few interested in what you have to say! Appetite for risk? Do they know what your previous occupation was? Lol, not sure you can get more appetite for risk there mate. Good luck with training and the event mate, inspiring for me mate that’s for sure 🤙💪💪
Agree with you 100% don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. I was bullied as a child never had a lot and was always the joke!!! I run now simply because l want to prove those people wrong. I’ve now ran 6 marathons 1 ultra and I’ve lost count of how many half marathons. So not bad for a looser. 👍
4 times?! Well, at least you're still running. Well, I tagged you on a RUclips challenge called #myrun. Hope that interests you! Good luck with the Brutal 300, that's nuts, you're a beast!
I can relate massively, use those who give negatives vibes as a fk u, i will show you. Most cant do it themselves. Both on a similar journey. My legs and head messes me about but want to do my ultras etc.. love trial running.. not road anymore. From a fellow former bootneck, keep filming your journeys. Inspire others, hoofin tup3
The older I get, the more I realise that certain parts of our minds are not very helpful at all! It flags negativity as if it’s a priority but fails to look at ALL the positive that’s surrounds it. Just look at the comments in this one video you have done to see that! Shut the door of that small negative room in your mind and disassociate yourself from it.
Absolutely interested . Your videos kept me on track during my first 50 miler training block and got me out the door every day. 🫡 Love that mindset , use there negativity as fuel.
@@CraigWilliamsUltra its really hard to cut it out forever right? I see alot of you tubers saying yeah I quit caffeine and almost everybody goes back at some point including me haha and before I know iam drinking it every day and are addicted again
Tell me... how do you deal with negative comments?

Use them as fuel to energise and prove to the doubters that you can achieve your goals.
Lol, other people are (insert word RUclips won't like) and I ignore them.
I haven’t had one yet as I’m fairly new but I would simply reply with “thanks for watching” and move onto the next positive one.
I always think to myself, the weight of someone’s negativity will only weigh as heavy as I allow it to!
