This is real gritty acting ! Man if only I could go back in time, just to watch all the episodes again. I remember watching this episode, Den using his dodgy criminal connections to get rid of Wilmott Brown. There's a big difference between Dennis Watts & Phil Mitchell... Den had bottle to kill & meant by his word, Phil just threatens to kill people and doesn't even really mean it, thank god nowadays I don't watch the current bull crap that's on my screens, just can not stand their acting, it's like they don't really mean it make it look real, I mean I don't think they even know what they are saying. Back then we had icons like Den Watts, Nick Cotton, Lou Beale, Angie Watts, Pauline Fowler, Arthur Fowler, Mark Fowler, Michelle Fowler, Frank Butcher, Pat Evans, Dot Cotton, Pete Beale, Kathy Hills, Ian Beale & Charlie Cotton ect.. Then we had Phil Mitchell, Grant Mitchell & Peggy Mitchell (I stopped watching EastEnders in 89 but watched 3 or 4 episodes of the Mitchell boys of 1990 & their dear old mum Peggy in 1995, now we have some annoying rubbish characters. Gosh there's me thinking once upon a time EastEnders was the top iconic soap opera in Britain, even higher than Coronation Street ! At least Kathy's still there !!
To be fair den had the Dagmar Burnt down thinking willmott brown was still in it. When den saw him again he strangled him for what did to Kathy and if it wasn't in a public place the chances are he would have killed him.
