I've been watching Garret for awhile. He's a professional conservationist and an even more professional Floridian. The two ongoing jokes is the hunt for the 20ft. python and people feel obligated to watch his videos just to make sure he's still alive. Obviously, there's no obligation, that's just the joke. He's mostly focused on the Everglades, though, where they have a pretty bad crisis with Burmese Pythons population going out of control.
Geega is not kidding - He's clearly handling the animals in a somewhat appropriate fashion, but every clip was so stressful given how dangerous they are.
From what I could find online, based on 2009-2019 data, Florida averaged about 25 wildlife related fatalities per year. In roughly the same timespan, it averaged close to 2000 murders per year. Fear the Florida Man! (And not just the men, but the women and children too! -Anakin Swampwalker)
Holding a fer-de-lance up like that, unsecured, is literally suicidal. Pretty sure they hold the record for most human fatalities in the Western Hemisphere.
i love this guy so much, i love how his shorts really show that he knows what hes doing, cause i cant imagine anyone who didnt doing any of that without dying XD
I have arachnophobia, but it's a weird form where the smaller the spider the more scared panic I feel. The bigger and fuzzier it is the more calm I am.
He should not be compared to Steve Irwin. Steve did everything in the name of conservation and protection of animals, not for Tiktok views and money. Steve also didn't go around harassing animals and needlessly scaring and stressing them. If he saw geckos on a tree, he'd film beside them, not grab a fistful of them. And while he did handle snakes pretty frequently, he didn't grab them behind the head like that because it hurts and stresses them. He held them by the end of their tail and kept them calm. And he certainly didn't antagonize crocodiles in their native habitat. That zoomer could never, ever be Steve. Steve actually respected the creatures he was filming and only did the show in the first place to raise money for his conservation efforts.
@@S.e.t85 There is a right way and a wrong way to interact with wild animals. This is the wrong way. He isn't just removing harmful animals from an ecosystem, he's disrupting and interfering with all the native animals as well. He's not even trying to be subtle or to decrease his impact, he's actively provoking creatures. And why? For views. Lets see how much of that internet money he actually donates to legitimate animal conservation groups and causes, because i'm gonna guess it's either none or only token amounts for virtue signalling. This kind of behavior should not be praised. Leave it to professionals. Or help fund professionals. Or join the professionals. Plenty of things you can do to contribute. But wandering around with a camera doing stupid stunts and harassing wild animals for views is not conservation.
@@TheDrexxus1) He is a professional, he's making money doing this. 2) People said the exact same things about Steve Irwin you just don't remember because we made him a saint after he died bothering animals.
I don't really like people just stressing out animals for no reason at all. Grabbing and manipulating wildlife without proper authorization is a crime in Brazil at least.
@@Drunken_Monke Not in the Amazon. Regardless, you're not allowed to hunt or kill even invasive species in Brazil, because you're not authorised to do so.
@@Drunken_Monke In the US you can do whatever I guess, since you can even import and mistreat all the animals you'd like over there and it isnt a crime.
@@MrRenanHappy first off animal abuse is not legal in the united state second none of what we saw in the video could be classified as abuse since he’s literally just grabbing them it’s not like he punts the damn thing when he’s done with it and third why don’t they hunt invasive species in the Amazon? It’s one of the most important ecosystems on earth processing about a 1/4th of all the co2 in earth (iirc) shouldn’t they be protecting that ecosystem from animals that would upset the food chain of that area?
@@Drunken_Monke You're allowed to own chimpanzees and other wildlife in the USA, despite the owners never knowing how to care for those animals. That is a form of legalised animal abuse. I said that manipulation, grabbing the animals is illegal, not that is necessarily abuse. Although grabbing several pythons and dragging them around from where you found them is certainly arguably abuse. Especially when you grab many of them at once like he did with the geckos, that will certainly put the animals under stress. I am a biologist with a masters in zoology and I have walked in the woods for long enough and seen people that are keen on manipulating animals. I've never seen anyone as brutish in handling them as this guy does it. Hunting usually is strictly prohibited in Brazil and allowing for invasive species to be hunted is relying on the ability of hunters to recognise native species and to not hunt the native ones on purpose. The hunting of invasive species is something that is done by government and institutions under it in a regulated manner.
But Geega, you're smol enough to be eaten by those tree frogs!

The guy is simply a modern IRL druid, you cannot convince me otherwise
Her lack of reaction when he's that close to a croc while barefoot has me stressed
I mean, the croc wasn't really much of a threat. He was just a little guy.
"Aww, put 'em down" oh you have no idea, Tokay Geckos are invasive and they don't exactly return them back to the wild.
CANCEL YOINK!
I REPEAT: CANCEL YOINK!
DO NOT YOINK!
I never thought geega and garret would intersect xD my two favorites!
Been watching this guy for months. he's hilarious and absolutely insane.
3:45 Reminds me of that episode of Pepa Pig that was censored in Australia because no, children shouldn't be friends of spiders in Australia.
Zoomer Steve Irwin? nah, he's professional Floridian.

in one of his recent videos he yoinked a coral snake

Do not yoink snoik
The yoink is strong with this one
I wrestled a gator once and it was sooooo crazy. I was sitting on top of it and was like wow this is a dinosaur, I’m sitting on a dinosaur 😅
I'm not afraid of Snakes, But I would not grab some Snakes, He seems a Little Reckless to me.
It's the yoink guy!
Ooooh yoink
I love animals!
I watched Garret months ago, but why people call him Zoomer Sterve Irwin? 😂
Does geega have any pet reptiles or amphibians? Just curious
Thought for a minute we were gonna see Jim Fowler, the OG. Disappointed.
Some day we'll get the GEEGA noodling stream. 🙏
A lot moral andys getting mad over a guy doing literally nothing wrong and acting like they know what they're talking about
