  • 🫁 Overcome Panic Attacks: 1-2-1 Breathing Coaching with Neil on Zoom
    www.thebuteyko...
    This is a really simple breathing exercise designed to help you stop a panic attack or hyperventilation attack that is happening right now.
    It works by helping you to slow down your breathing. It is important to:
    1. Breathe through your nose.
    2. Breathe gently and softly.
    3. Avoid taking big, noisy breaths.
    4. Breathe slowly. If the breathing in the video feels too fast then try this slower one: • Coherent Breathing Tim...

    Hi- thanks for your account and videos! Coming across this account has been really helpful. I have hyperventilation syndrome and am constantly trying to yawn or get that satisfying breath and it’s taking over my life and has been. I can’t sleep and get in vicious cycles of hyperventilation.
    Sometimes when I do this video I feel a bit of relaxation and relief but then when I lie down and go back to doing something normal like reading or watching tv all I can focus on is nouth breathing and getting that big satisfying yawn which again starts the horrible cycle where I need that every 15 seconds.
    How do I save myself. Is it just a matter of doing this video like a million times a day over and over so eventually my body doesn’t need these so called big breaths anymore. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! love the vids and hoping they can help me stop torturing myself for good once and for all.

    On the breathing out do I still breathe out through my nose ??

    • @thebuteykomethod
      @thebuteykomethod  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, breathe in and out through the nose to avoid over-breathing (which feeds into panic). Breathe gently and quietly. In fact, breathe in and out through the nose 24/7 to help reduce symptoms of panic attacks in the longer term. I have been noticing over the past few years I have become a mouth breather and anxiety crept back into panic attacks. All day today and yesterday I have shut my mouth. I feel so much more relaxed! I used a tiny sliver of scotch tape since I work form home. That helped!

      @@dessiecoder2116 wow really maybe I have to try the mouth method ! And I’m gonna keep at these videos to see what it does for me I get anxiety and panic attacks easily , plus this air hunger stuff make it worse

      Amazing! Mouth breathing puts so much stress on the body and bypasses the 30 functions of the nose. Keep going with the nasal breathing 24/7!
