Ever since her adventure with Sadness in the first movie Joy is having different opinions and emotions of her own like her own sadness from the first movie, her disgust and anger in this new movie that hasn't shown the full movie yet.
Because the character is a killjoy. You go in thinking he will be the best thing ever, but he winds up being the worst. That's what a killjoy is. So it makes sense. She IS Joy, his existence upsets Riley, so Joy doesn't like him.
I love the fact that Disgust is the one emotion in super down bad for the fictional character probably because fiction itself usually resembles a flawless and perfect version of the mostly disgusting reality we live in. Nice touch.

Also the Sonic spin ball attack that Lance did is an easter egg reference of Sonic the Hedgehog games.

The fact that this character has a different animation style gives me a crazy amount of hope that we have a Pixar Movie that leans more into a different animation style compared to how they always have been. Soul and some other films Pixar made might have leaned into that ever so slightly but they've never truly been able to sit down and reinvent their own style as much as dreamworks did with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and The Bad Guys
Are the Standout Game Graphics of LSB’s character model supposed to be based off of 6th Gen Era Games or 7th Gen Era Games? While his Video Game Character Model does remind me a lot of the 128-bit games a.k.a 6th Gen Era games (although I also wonder if the Bits Model for 7th generation games were actually 256-Bit Games of the 7th video game generation after all those years ago?), This 2000's Era Video Game character of Lance Slash Blade does look good on him of course.
