‘Multo’ talks about being careful about a person before you get into a relationship. a part of the bridge goes “be careful so you avoid being ghosted” haha I LOVE DONG-DONG-AY TOO 😭 it’s based on a cordilleran folk traditional song, and it talks about community coming together for peace and embracing diversity for the future 😭😭😭 it’s so heartwarming
Not many talk about the album’s name and album’s art design. The Sarimanok is a legendary bird in Filipino lore, particularly in Maranao culture. It’s a symbol of good fortune. “IsaPuso” is a play on words “Isa” (means one) and “Puso” (means heart) = ONE HEART. at the same time, “isapuso” is a Tagalog verb which means “to take to heart.”
@@kam11522 yeah i agree... Alamat just doesn't stop evolving and still, stays true to bringing filipino culture, history and heritage into mainstream music. I love all of their songs but my most faves are dagundong, dayang, manila dreams and dong dong ay. How about you? Thank you for reacting to Alamat. I hope one day you can see them perf live. 🙂🤩
Multo is perfect when driving your car at midnight hahaha would really be good as an OST for horror comedy film when the ghost is chasing after you since Multo is Ghost 😂
Dong-dong-ay and Salidummay in the Cordilleran particularly Kalinga Language does not have a literal translation but it is used in many Cordilleran folk and even modern songs plus church/gospel songs. And true to many' s interpretation and how the writer/producer's created the track it speaks of hopes of peace, unity and love. It is so culturally appropriated that every time I listen to this track I can't help but cry because the world from simple became so complicated that it has been infested with selfishness and materialism and this song just brings you to that era where everything is simple and candid. This song reminds us to always be kind, to be good with and respect our own culture and the nature and just love.❤

Dong dong ay already performed at Rapplers Jam Live,
its really feel magical because of their harmonization
I saw it! I wasn't expecting them to perform it, but it was a pleasant surprise! They sounded beautiful 🥹

YES DONG DONG AY should be in a Disney movie!
Dong-dong-ay is my fav in the album. It just sounds peaceful.
Multo means Ghost in english
But the song is about, being careful in choosing who you love coz they might ghost you in the future. 😁😅
Ok that's actually a really clever wordplay for "ghost" 😅

I agree…Dong dong ay sounds like a Disney song
watch their performance in rappler...they perform noli and dong dong ayy
'Dong-dong-ay' is about calling for everyone's attention and cooperation in proclaiming peace and unity (base on my understandings lol)
Dong dong ay is like a folksong or inspired from a folksong 'saludimay' (?). It talks about hope, peace, unity, and diversity (i believe so)
In some of the songs in this album, I feels that they'd be great songs to dance to ballroom dances
That would be awesome! I'd love to see ballroom choreo for any of these!

YES omg now I need this in a horror comedy, thank you 😂

I must say Alamat's sound plus the instruments vibe on it are really perfect. They make every track a part of your daily go to playlist
❤❤please react to new mv- Classic from Dolla😈😈🔥🔥🔥
'Multo' is more on telling or reminding you that be careful in chosing who you love because you might get ghosted. (own thoughts)
The second one is an interpolation from a folksong
