I used to main purpple dabi and im still not used to how brain dead his strike version is, my last braincells were legit traps and rolling. Now im maining Mirio(got him yesterday) and red dabi. Since youre a fellow Mirio main, do you have any advice ?

Honestly though, if you watch his foot, he does a sort of soccer kick, the moment his toe is highest is when I dodge, the biggest thing for me is having to change sensitivity to account for the second one and then guessing his Gamma level since it lasts longer. I get hit if I am snuck by him but I have gotten pretty consistent with the dodge to the point I can tell Dabi players think that shit is an auto hit and seem stuped for a second when they realize I am not just spam rolling them.

Stray once you activate gamma at level 9 do alpha alpha beta and when u beta it’ll be perfectly timed for your explosion (87%) at level 9 and it does like 400 damage
he NEEDS to be nerfed, beta tracking is absurd, i have a clip of him literally activating ultra instinct, i used aizawa's gamma in front of him and he literally evaded it doing a 360 around me and then grab me, and the gamma boost you insanely, making beta inflicts 300 damage on single use, only to receive 3 hp damage itself per second, alpha has a gigantic hitbox height too, and even when downed he continues to explode with his gamma, you cant hit him reliably, char came out absurdly broken
The only thing I can see realistically nerfed is the tracking but its been two seasons of twice and no nerfs yet, he needs the other two things you noted or he'd be worse than purple dabi
@@KnightsGoneWhy the Purple Dabi hate? He actually counters red Dabi surprisingly well since he punishes those who get close and every red Dabi will predictably try and get close to use the beta. In solo matches especially I've been seeing more purples win against reds, even though red is superior in most other ways.
@@DemonOfCoffee like you said red is much superior to his original. The only thing they have going for purple is that he can lock some places down but at that point why not just play cementoss, he can lock down an area much better and can deal nasty damage
@@KnightsGone I mean Cementoss can lock down an area really well but a lot of people don't enjoy getting trapped by their own teammate's pillars making it hard for allies to work around him in close quarters, plus many Cementoss players end up trapping themselves too. At least with purple Dabi using his traps and fire wall he and his teammates can actually play their part in close quarters without being blocked off or blocked in unintentionally.
I just got strike dabi and i don't see the beta tracking at all like people can be in front of me a my beta still misses or maybe it just a skill issue 😅
If they nerf his beta tracking, fairly, they should reduce dmg he takes on his health or give the beta same reload speed as the gamma. I still hate twice and toga more lol
The damage he takes is negligible. At max level the gamma lasts long enough to drop his max hp by 24%, a SINGLE level 1 geen card drops that to only 9%. Twice and Toga while they can be annoying at least take some measure of skill to play well, Red Dabi is brain dead because is beta tracking is insanely overtuned (no reason he should be spinning to face the entirely different direction to hit let alone also have super armor during it) has the longest range attack on the game AND it’s an AOE.
@DarkBunnyLord but it's not hard for him to be lit up/DPS. Once he grabs someone my team just alphas him and his really useless w/o the gamma. Dont mind the dabi mains having their run that was the most ignorable/punishable character across seasons 😄

He absolutely needs to, dude is just totally 0 skill needed to do great. Stupid tracking beta that does insane damage and you can literally dodge through and still get hit by because he’ll just track onto you, longest range attack in the game and it’s an alpha and he’s constantly shitting out AOE’s that can the interrupted but will interrupt any attacks if someone’s hit by them. He’s just absolutely brain dead auto pilot to play.
Tbh I don't think this dabi is really a problem, its just this dabi punishes people who "like being solo" hard. Having a team that sticks with you and understands to beam dabi down when he goes for the grab makes a huge difference. Vice versa having a team that stays with dabi really makes him shine. Plus, I wouldn't say he's a braindead character just that his aggressive playstyle is something that's super straightforward to pick up and play. As for maxing gamma it feels nice when you're in a lobby thats super aggressive since it can block shots and the aoe explosion at the end is so big that it punishes overconfident people that push to hard.
Nah he’s braindead, the beta takes 0 skill to do well with, if another player is even at mid range as you’ve got the gamma going it’ll hit the vast majority of the time to the point people can literally dodge it then he’ll spin around to get them. Count the fact the hug also has super armor and it’s just a big contribution to him being largely braindead especially when a maxed out gamma only costs 24% hp and is mitigated to just a measly 9% with a level 1 green card. His alpha similarly has not only the longest range in the game but it’s also an AOE when fully charged or in gamma. Dude needs a serious nerf because he takes the least effort of any character ever to do really good with.

Stray, If you beta them and they fast get up, you can time your second beta into another grab
