Taekai is not just superm moments.
Kai and Taemin have been friends even before kai debut. Taekai are known as best bff duo of k-pop for a reason.
Even before Taemin debuted. So for the most of their lives.
Taemin and Kai are bestfriend since their predebut. So they are relly close to each other.
they've been best friends forever before 2008, they trained together and they are always together, in 2014 there was even rumor that they were dating because they were seeing outside holdind hands(its' ridiculous ik) but even Taemin's manager asked him if they were dating lol. also superm is pretty recent and there is a lot more content of them from the previous years. also please watch their collaboration performance called ''Pretty Boy'', it was a song written by Jonghyun specifically for Taemin which he included in his first album featuring Kai. this was their first official collaboration, it happened years before superm.

TaeKai have such a cute and special bond. They're my favorite BFF pairing in kpop and they've been besties since they were around 11 or 12 years old. They've been friends longer than they've been in SHINee/EXO and have said they're basically brothers at this point 😭 their relationship is really cute.

Yep yep SuperM was formed in 2019. Kai and Taemin have been bestfriends since they were 12 to 13 years old. Taemin has a vlog called Taemlog in the SHINee RUclips channel. Kai appeared in one of the episodes and in one of the moments there, there is a very heartwarming line in the captions which summarizes their friendship: "The years they know each other is more than the years they don't know each other." They've been friends for more than half of their lives and they have reached their dreams together. Even though Taemin debuted in 2008, he was very happy when Kai debuted in 2012.
So basically Kai ,Teamin and Timoteo (Hotshot) and a non celeb are childhood friends,later Ravi( vixx) Wanna one"s Sungwoon and BTS Jimin join the squad. You will be amazed to know how emotionally they are connected to each other, especially Kai, Teamin and Timoteo (they had cried for each other in national TV for their hardship and success ,Teamin normally tend to hold his tears )also idol always talk to each other very closely because of noise and also people can read their lips and can make nonsense things up so yes you are right thoes are not really romantic 😂

Kai, Taemin, Sungwoon and Jimin have been friends since quite a long time ago. Idols have very surprising friendships that can sometimes be unexpected. For example, BTS's JK has his friends from the 97 line (Seventeen's Mingyu, Got7's Bambam and Yugyeom, Cha Eunwoo, etc.), and V mostly hangs out with actors/actresses (Park Seojun, Choi Woosik, Ha Jiwon, etc.).
Originally it was Taemin, Kai, Ravi Timoteo, Sungwoon and non-celeb friend. Sungwoon said Timoteo started everything. He is close with Taemin, Kai and non celebrity friend, Timoteo introduced his non celebrity friend whom he close with Taemin and Kai then Timoteo introduced four of them to Sungwoon and since Kai is close with Ravi, Ravi also joined with them. Jimin joined them much later, in 2016
They hung out so much around like 2014 i think it was, that they had dating rumors about them. Even their managers asked if they were dating.
They have been friends since Kai was just a baby doing ballet and jazz, and Taemin was like obsessed with locking and popping. Way before even Shinee had a debut. They influenced each other a lot. They grew up staying late in dance studio, just practising and learning together.

it's funny because in reality kai is way more tactile and openly affectionate than taemin in general and also in their relationship. but of all kpop 'ships' this is probably the realest in that they have a very genuine, deep friendship that seems very soulmatey. i don't think this video did a very good job of demonstrating it. there's a channel called 'taekai' that has lots of clips uploaded from the beginning. before taemin's debut kai was featured on a little doc about taemin called 4Things and it is available on here subbed and if you're a fan of both i think it's worth watching anyway but for friendship insight it's also good. them both being in superm was a huge deal for them because they'd wanted to debut in the same group initially but SM split them up, so it was meaningful for them that they finally got to do it.

This video, or one like it, does have English captions! On FaceTime they were talking before Taemin's stage. They communicate everyday, of course. Super best friends. Actually if you watch some more TaeKai (way before SuperM existed) you'll see that Kai initiates more and likes to hold hands, is a hugger, etc.. Same with 2Min (Taemin and Minho) where Minho used to carry Taemin and hug him, etc. all the time. All SHINee members took real good care of the 11 year old Taemin, their maknae (youngest). Also, males in Korea walk down the street holding hands like the females do, and there's no stigma attached. (Although their society is pretty conservative.) Taemin once described how he used to be uncomfortable with the skinship but he has grown accustomed to it now with his male friends. (Opposite sex touching and dating is prohibited.) SHINee members are all very affectionate and caring and consider each other family. (Their biological families are close to each other too.) There are videos out there with everyone (Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho) carrying Taemin at some point and then when he gets big enough, he returns the favor. Too cute!

God, Kai is such a liar. He always says he's not tactile, but in EXO everyone loves hugs and, most importantly, he literally sticks to Taemin when they don't have to work😂
That video about TaeKai is not the best, it is short and random, you should watch another video about their friendship, it is legendary even among friendly idols, because sincerely: they are so soft, but at the same time jerks. There is a series of reviews about Taemin and Kai's friendship, collected over the years, and not in the usual random way, as is often done, because they are friends from the beginning and you can literally see how they grow together from year to year, from scene to scene. Of course, SHINee and EXO always come first for each of them, like family, but best friend is a slightly different, no less precious concept. In a way, they became the basis for close idol friends (outside of their groups) to open up more in front of the cameras and, for example, not be shy about approaching and talking to each other at concerts. Their friendship is a goal that everyone would like to achieve sometime in their lives.
Taemin debuted earlier and when Kai finally debuted too, Taemin constantly tried to make that Kai feel comfortable on stage: he came up first (then it was not very common among members of different groups), disturbed, entertained, distracted from the cameras, relaxed, so that Kai wasn't so stiff.
They were so close that during another regular sneaky walk, they were filmed by the paparazzi of the main Korean yellow newspaper Dispatch, which is known for exposing the personal lives of celebrities, and declared them to be a real couple at the national level😂 In those days, Taemin made his solo debut, which was unexpected, since he is the youngest in the group and does not seem to sing very well (yes, he was bullied for his lack of talent to sing, although he was just a teenager whose voice was breaking), in general, in the entire SM Ent., he was almost the first solo artist + these paparazzi, who gave rise to many rumors about their orientation (bullying because of his pretty appearance and character, up to open comparisons with women). Because of all this, Taemin was invited to star in a show where only non-standard "rebels" were invited to clarify the rumors and reveal the real side of himself to society. Taemin called Kai to openly discuss the paparazzi prank and show that they are ordinary friends, but some laugh that they only made situation worse because Kai said he always misses Taemin even though they see each other every day and when he asked "What is your happiness?" Once Taemin starred in a show where he played the groom, and Kai was invited as a friend of the groom. Kai didn’t like what was happening so much that he didn’t give a damn about the script, he pulled Taemin to him on the floor, away from the bride, in the middle of a conversation for no apparent reason.
Taemin is also quite reserved, despite the fact that in recent years he has become more open: now he is mostly surrounded by people he already knows, a trusted team and therefore we can see his foolish behavior, but with strangers he is still introvert, silent, quiet and polite. He is reserved and cries very rarely (idols are often not shy about showing their tears during awards, concerts, etc., Taemin almost never), instead Kai cried when SHINee received an award 😂
