To be honest, I always recommend NLT to start out especially for those trying to read the Bible in a year…. But for me I’m starting to like the ESV, but CSB and NKJV are my all time fave
BIBLE Hey Christian! I am struggling between ESV and NLT but the ESV study Bible has so much more depth and detail to me that is really helpful. Thanks for the video it will help me decide on one or the other.
BIBLE Live from Jacksonville,FL. Fairly new to reading the bible. I’m using your bible plan at the moment. Currently going through with the ESV translation and loving every bit of it. Thank you.
@@coffeewithchristian sí, es fácil de entender, pero tanto la NTV como la TLA o la PDT al ser tan dinámicas, las prefiero leer como si fueran comentarios, para no dejar tanto espacio q la forma en que los editores interpretan las ideas. Las uso como complemento, pero no como Biblia principal.
BIBLE I pray this video helps all who need it. 🙏 Thank you for all your hard work making videos for us all to learn and understand. My youngest daughters name is Rose as well 😌 may God continue to bless you and your family 🙏❤
Kumusta! I'm Osmay. Watching from the Philippines. Thank you for this channel! I'm encouraged by your vlog. In reading the Bible, I used the meaning-based translation- GNT. But when I study, i should have both the formal translation - NKJV/ESV parallel with the meaning-based translation: Good News Translation. God bless us.
I use three, precisely because they have different translations philosophies. On the literal (word for word) end of the spectrum, I truly love the Legacy Standard Bible. In addition to being a really good translation, their stated translation philosophy is to be a window to the original language. Additionally, they use God’s name throughout the OT, which is very important to me. On the other end of the spectrum (thought for thought) I use the New Living Translation. While they occasionally go off the rails, the translation is very thoughtful in how it conveys the original meaning of many passages. (Matthew 5:3 is a sterling example of this.). For my middle of the road everyday reader I find the Christian Standard Bible to be outstanding. It strikes just the right balance, in my opinion, between word for word and thought for thought. I also have to say the production value of the CSB is outstanding - great paper, typeface - even on the cheaper end of the spectrum. Their single column personal size in imitation leather was just $15 on Amazon (on sale) and is AMAZING in its production quality. Thanks so much for covering this topic.
My fav is king james ! But i also like nkjv and esv. I been trying to branch out and read csb, nlt and nasb. My next one i wanna read is the amplified! I love bibles too ! I used to be king james only but i changed that lol I really love your videos ! I try to watch and like them all
I’m looking for a bible that’s easy to understand and also provides explanations to the versus, I’m a Christian but a beginner when it comes to the Bible, I can’t understand it no matter how many times I’ve tried to read it, I also can’t ever understand any of the fancy’s words so I’m looking for something in standard English and straight to the point to help me understand
Your confused friend --- the translations you speak of came from the masoretic text (which was written somewhere around 800 to 1000 years AFTER the birth of Jesus). Most scholars believe the Masoretic Text was textually corrupted. The Septuagint is a Greek translation of the Torah created by the Jews of Alexandria in the third century B.C.E. (probably what Jesus read in the temple).SO the "REAL" answer use the Septuagint and the New Testament. I'm positive almighty God saw all these different versions, and He allowed them, but the most important thing is it doesn't matter what version you use as long as it brings you to accept Jesus.
Watching from Orlando, Fl . My favorite Bible version in Spanish is NTV since I discovered this version I can’t stop reading and listen it.

You are probably th looking for a study Bible. The ESV Study Bible is great. I also recommend the NLT life application.
BIBLE
Been using NET since 12years old, but I want to know other translations as well. My Father uses King James, my Mom uses NIV.
