- This video is a compilation of my giga fights. i hope you will enjoy it… The action occure on two different server, Teutonic #2 and Life finds a way. I will face allo, carno, rex, trike, cera, other giga and so on…

Giga is indeed an underrated apex. People shy away from it because it isn't as powerful as the rex but in my opinion, where the rex is an excellent brawler, the giga is a much better hunter. It has one of the best trot and crouch walk speeds in the entire game, making it easier for the giga to ambush and hunt down prey. It can also regenerate stamina while standing, making it much more dangerous to packs of mid tiers or dilos that can bait a rex into losing all it's stamina. It also has a higher weight than Rex, so bleed from smaller dinos is less effective against it. Plus, getting bit by a giga as a smaller dino is just as much of a death sentence as getting bit by a rex thanks to the bleed. So yeah, underrated.

Also has one of the fastest ambushes in the game, and is pretty tanky (6.45k, where the rex has 5.8) along with pretty great healing, but growing one.....oh lord, growing a giga is a HUUUUGE pain
@@tomasmisek5598 I think the rex actually has the same health number as the giga, giga just has more weight. The added weight does help it out a lot against dinos in smaller weight classes though as their bleed is less effective which is pretty much their only weapon against apexes. Combined with giga's better turn radius than Rex and it's ability to regen stamina while standing, it makes the giga more dangerous to smaller dinos than rexes are.
Not really, there is a lot of giga players who play giga and not rex.

@@tomasmisek5598 well sub giga is the best subadults (when over 95%) since it can kill a sucho, sub rex, allo, cera and maybe full grown gigas and rexes
@@francis6028 at that point youre just waiting for adult giga that is 3 times better, and until its at 95% (which takes almost 4 hours to get to) its almost useless

I have to agree, the Giga’s skin is gorgeous. I personally don’t play as giga often, i feel that it’s defiantly designed to play within a team. After a year of playing this game, I think the giga is one of the better balanced Dinos. Enjoyed you content as always! Keep up the good work.
Giga actually isn’t that balanced compared to rex if we take away bone break, as that’s getting reworked.
Alloy 55 are you saying if bonebreak by a rex gets reduced that would balance the giga? I’m not sure I follow what you mean. In my opinion, Rex seems more geared towards solo players and Giga seems more for team players. (Taking the rules for official servers into consideration. Example; 5 apex max. The whole mega mix pack is gamebreaking. Seems the devs know this and keep it separate and controlled on the official servers.) No, I do not think they should be equal. They were very different Dino’s with very different hunting strategies and I feel that the devs really incorporated that. For exsample, rex was a stealthy hunter who would surprise pray and break bones to keep it from escaping. The giga seems to have been more like a komqto dragon with sharp knife like teeth. Biting quickly and letting it’s pray slowly die or wearing before finishing it off because it lacked the power to break bones. I have been playing the game for a long time, and have about 500 gameplay hours, so this is just my opinion based on what I have experienced. On no rule servers like Asura (they are an awesome team of admins and I love playing on it), this system doesn’t seem to work and rex feel way overpowered because of its bone break and speed, but it needs to be noted that this isn’t how the developers intended it to be played. Rex will often have scouts that will hunt you down and then allow the rex to get in and get that bone break and it’s over. So I understand where you are coming from but again, it’s not how the game was made to be played. That being said, the isle can be played however you feel on this server because of the no rules. Is it gamebreaking? yes. Is it fun? hell yes. Is it balanced? Not without rules.
Lee-Chan-Tae rex is ment to be an ambush hunter in this game, with the raw power and good ambush speed, but low stamina. Which it is. Giga is ment to be the endurance hunter in this game with slightly less speed than rex and more stamina which it has. The problem is damage, giga does too much raw damage for the bleeder endurance hunter it’s ment to be it does almost as much damage as rex with its bleed also being supedously high. It’s raw damage needs to be reduced. There’s also the fact that it’s able to basically trot prey down because of how quickly it regenerates stamina through trotting, yes it’s ment to be an endurance hunter, but that is almost too much and needs to be nerfed a bit. this hasn’t got anything to do with the players each dinosaur is geared towards, or rules, it has to do with how they are ment to play and the stats that make their different playstyles possible. You can’t play rex like an endurance hunter because it doesn’t have the bleed or stamina or crazy trot of giga, and you shouldn’t be able to play as a giga like an ambush hunter, which is why in certain aspects it needs to be nerfed.

I would have to disagree with your opinion on the giga being overpowered. The giga was designed to have high stamina with a low bite force, (like you said) but just as deadly as a rex with it’s bleed. I personally think both apex carnivores available for play in survival are very well designed and balanced. Like I said, this is my opinion from my own experience. I believe I misunderstood your first reply, thinking you meet that a rex was overpowered. That’s why I went into depth about the rex and giga have different play style but emphasized their equality. Again, I believe this balanced is thrown away when you play on no rules servers. The way damaged is calculated has to due with the weight of a Dino, I’m sure you know that. For this reason, I think giga bite force is good the way it is now.
@@TheEpicChoco I'm not saying it's overpowered in saying it's unbalanced. It needs a bite force nerf and a trot stamina regen nerf. It is not balanced well for its playstyle regardless of what you think of it. regardless of what you think about it now it is going to change

God I wish I had this game. Somehow stumbled upon some of these videos only recently -- Would have certainly got it if I knew it existed before now. Although actual combat seems just a bit too weird, I enjoy watching it. Gameplay shown here makes it look real fun, good job!
The devs of the game are currently entierly recoding it. The combat system will change and a lot of things with it, you can look up the « new » game on YT. Just type « the isle recode » ;) I can’t wait for it!!!

Honestly I really appreciate your videos so much. They are entertaining yet plain and simple. There is none of those cringe ass jokes of people who try to hype up the audience, just perfectly timed explanations and informations that even teach me stuff from time to time (despite my roughly 200 hours in the Isle).

ai spawns around carnivores when the hunger goes below 70% and its increased near water so might as well merge your 2nd and 3rd point.

Your so good! I have around 350 hours of playing the Isle, and I try to main apexes like rex and giga but despite that, I feel like I'm still so bad at fighting, I've lost so many of them to other apexes within an hour of reaching full adult (and I spend almost all of my grow time hiding and only coming out to eat AI and drink) and I get really nervous when I'm wandering alone and I almost feel like that's part of my issue, is people can tell I'm not confident in my dinosaur and its like sharks smelling blood in the water. The Isle is not only my first online gaming experience but my first PvP experience so that definitely contributes, but I hate that I feel so nervous playing my favorite dinosaurs. I want to challenge people and fight and hunt, but always end up dying and I feel like despite all the fights I've lost I still come out with so little experience, if that makes sense. And yet watching your video I feel like I'm learning!
A good way to get experience in pvp is to go on sandbox servers and fight :) knowing your dino strenght/weakness and the dino you face give you a big advantage. Do training on sandbox will improve drastically your skills, and you will feel less nervous fighting on survival;)

Slower than other apexes? Giga is good because it’s the best apex with speed. It’s trot is the fastest in the game so any danger you see coming can be easily avoided and any none apexes can get chased down by a walking giga. But yes their run and sprint is not very fast compared to the others, but their stamina and stamina regain while walking really makes them the best apex for beginners. I do see where your coming from though. Btw new subscriber, love these isle videos :)

I wouldn't call giga an underdog, it just has a different style of hunting over the T-Rex. It's an endurance hunter Tyrannosaurus is an Ambush Hunter.
