Thick cotton per b aap ribbon embroider ker saktay ho but woh wali jis mae aapko ribbon cloth say thora pass kerna ho, for example spider web stitch, and rose bna ker cloth kay upper fix ker lae, istrah kay stitches aap ker saktay hae. My dear u can make this on semi cotton fabric, actually, I am in Canada and don't know the exact name of fabrics just you will buy the mixed fabric because it's very hard to pass the ribbon through pure cotton. I hope u will get my point. Good Luck, Take care
