I just fixed mine with a screwdriver in 30 seconds! It seems the oil was leaking from underneath the screws, as they were becoming a bit loose. So, tightening them did the trick! Only had it for 4 months.
A friend showed me a video here on You Tube showing nutribullets exploding and injuring people. That scared the heck out of me and I donated mine to the thriftstore.
Mine only leaked once and I discovered that I had not tightened it enough when I screwed the extractor blade on. When it did leak I had to take the Nutribullet apart by unscrewing 3 small screws to remove the top (those 3 screws were covered with white rubber or plastic plugs) and I used a Q-tip to clean it out. All is well now. JUST BE SURE TO SCREW ON THE EXTRACTOR BLADES REAL GOOD.
Thanks for the info. I have had my unit (Nutribullet 900 series/Magicubllet for 1 month, purchased it from the HSN and paid over 100 dollars for it. After a month I don't think I should have to pay for a replacement part that work properly. I contacted Nutribullet company and they are shipping out a new blade for me. I didn't even have to pay shipping and handling. Consumers should not be so willing to pay extra for something that should work properly in the first place.
To stop gasket problems just rub a tiny bit of palm oil (coconut oil...) on it before you screw-on the cup. You don't have to tighten it too tight. It helps also if you plug the base into a switchable outlet then put the cup on the base with the switch off - then turn the switch on for the minute then switch off. Then take the cup out. Really saves wear and tear on that plastic gear-socket thing.
Well I found this video useful, as i was not aware that the blade assembly was sold separately or needed to be replaced periodically as some suggested. I've had mine for about 3 years and just started having a leaking problem. I'm hoping the replacement part will solve my problem.
We bought a NutriBullet 12 months ago and it came with the replacement designed part but after 12 mths it's starting to leak, So much for a redesigned part.
Make sure your changing the blades every 6 months. If you notice a louder noise when using the Nutribullet it is time to order a new blade. This was told to me by the customer service representative at Nutribullet 855-346-8874. I thought that there was rust coming from the machine into my drinks and she stated that it is not rust but instead food particles. I suggest cleaning it completely with hot water and a rag. Then do the clear water test. Which includes filling up the container with water to the max line then leaving it on for about 30 seconds. If you still see particles after it is done then you need to clean it more. If not your done.
***** Or,... you could just clean it like a normal person after each use by rinsing the cup & extractor assembly & then adding some water & dishsoap to it, operate it for 10 seconds, replace the soapy water with clean water, operate it again for 10 seconds & put it on a dish rack to dry... I never put mine into the dish washer...
Mine doesn't leak there, it leaks out of the threaded part. I think the rubber seal gets worn out. When I tighten it real tight it may not leak but after you use it it is very hard to open it back up.
The truth is these nutribullets are being misrepresented as a blender for most purposes. In reality, you cant put frozen fruits or ice in there. It will break them. Once i quit doing that, i havent had one leak or break. I use this cheap ass blender, that is a beast but is super thick with the left over blending fluid.
My problem is I put it in the dishwasher, and there’s water inside the base blade and I can’t figure out how to get it out. If I shake it little drips come out but it’s in there. I don’t dare to take it apart -it’s too new
Thanks for sharing! I've been fighting my Nutribullet Blade from leaking oil after every use and leaking the blend as well Just makes a big mess. I can't believe I never thought to check the website, but I always figured it would be expensive to replace. $9.99, can't beat it!
Well I bought one of these over the Christmas holidays from Argos, the model purchased was the 900w Pro for just under £130.... First time using was fine, the second time it leaked spraying water everywhere, nothing to do with the blade but a poor seal where the cup joins the base. Obviously this seal is not fit for purpose otherwise there would be so many people complaining about them.... Not even sure it blends any better than my Kenwood...
I have a new 900 watt magic bullet, just bought it today , i also have 600 watt old one about 4 years old....my issue with the old one is that it does not blend kale really smooth, the new one is much better....but...i think if the blades in both the new and the old one were sharper, in fact just a bit sharper they both would blend real smooth...so now i have to figure out how to sharpen the old one and see what happens...
First of all I love my Nutribullet, but I am now on my 3rd one in 9 months time! The first two leaked and eventually must have leaked into the motor and eventually did not work at all. There must be a way they can correct this issue. Getting very frustrated!
Yours was still under warranty, why didn't you just send it back to be repaired for free? You automatically get a 1 yr warranty, you have have to have your receipt, which is why I couldn't get the warranty, I normally keep every receipt but for some reason I couldn't find it. Mine started leaking around the 3 month mark.
Tip: Grind-up your flax seed in advance with the mill blade and store the powdered flax seed in a clean used jar with lid, like what olives or salsa or peanut butter comes in. Saves time and effort and you don't have to buy that flax-seed "flour" either.
q7wasp7 It spoils faster that way too. It's better to just add a bit of water & seeds to the NB & pulverize them (less than 30 seconds) before adding other ingredients--which would slow down the blender's ability to chop the seeds thoroughly.
I am on my 6th blade replacement. Eventually they start leaking. I am going to invest in a Vitamix blender. Cheaper in the long run than to having to keep purchasing more blades.
my bullet came with the new one you ordered, have had it for about 8 months, hardly used, the blades ceased up and does not move at all now, doesn't sound like they fixed the problem
That's exactly what's happening to mine! The blades are very tight and getting tighter every time I use it. I think there must be fluid leaking down into the base and not existing, since they removed the holes. I think the problem is actually worse now because the fluid eventually clogs the blade and stops it from spinning.
HERE IS THE FIX WITHOUT BUYING A NEW ONE. You are probably MISSING the rubber gasket. Everyone uses the 4 blade chopper. Take out your 2 blade chopper that you never use and remove the gasket. If you poke a sharp knife down inside you can feel it. Hard to feel with your finger. Start on the inside part of the ring and it will pop out. Push it onto the 4 blade chopper and you are done.
Thank you so much for your RUclips video! I've had a Nutribullet for many many years and I had put it away because it leaked. You encourage me to take a look at it and see if I could fix it, but mine is made different than either of your two. So I went to the company website and made an inquiry. We will see what happens! God bless and happy youtubing! PS: Is this what we called "planned" obsolescence?
well 3 years later and they still sell them leaking. ive had mine 6 days and it just leaked. its a shame cause ive been really happy with it but obviously this dents their reputation for me. I'm don't doubt they'll replace it for no charge but obviously I shouldn't have to go through the trouble.
Bought the Nutribullet less than 3 months ago and it's already leaking from the same area you refer to and it came with the "new and improved" blade housing. We're very careful never to put too much liquid in it, but this thing is just poorly designed. It's also a bit disheartening to hear the makers of this had the audacity to make you pay for the part since the leaking was from their poor design. We were smart enough to keep the box, packing materials and receipt. We purchased it at Kohls and they have a 90 day return policy. Today it goes back and we'll look for a high-end blender that essentially does the same thing without the bad design.
There is another difference ...your original blade has a chip looking area in the plastic on the blade side..the new one doesn't...that is the problem..if there was no crack the holes wouldn't leak.
My milling blade" leaks also! It is the second one I have bought in 6 months, that's why I am here on youtube. Don't know what to do next for the best??????????
New definition of the word "fix". I hate to break it to you, but the one without the holes will end up leaking too. The one I bought didn't have the holes but it started leaking and rusting and now the blade is very loose.
majesticmalfeasance Fixing means doing ANYTHING to eliminate a problem--that includes replacing parts---an auto mechanic does that everytime he tunes up a car by only replacing parts.
zeffur7 Sure, whatever you say. Most people understand a difference between fixing the part that leaks and getting a new part that doesn't leak. If I took my car to be fixed and brought home a new car, you and I might have a difference of opinion as to whether buying a new car would equate fixing it. As you can see by a good number of comments under this video, it's quite normal for people looking for a way to repair what is leaking to interpret the word "fix" as a repair, not as simply buying a replacement. So yes, she did eliminate the problem she was having, by replacing the blade, but she did not repair her bullet. The video could have taken 30 seconds. "Is your blade leaking? Buy a new one". The end.
majesticmalfeasance Reread the video title "How I fixed my leaking nutribullet!" That is exactly what she did--she simply replaced a part to fix it--just like your mechanic might do by replacing your plugs, wires, & rotor to fix your car when you report it isn't idling properly. This: "If I took my car to be fixed and brought home a new car, you and I might have a difference of opinion as to whether buying a new car would equate fixing it" is plain stupid. She didn't replace the Nutribullet. You're just butt-hurt because you know you are wrong & too proud to admit it. Toddle along--your dishonesty is shameful--especially when you KNOW you are wrong.
Can you tell me if you have a problem with the rubber seal falling out after mixing it live my billet but every time the rubber fall out someone told me they make one now with the rubber seal that
I had a friend and she told me that the seal kept coming out. She called the company and the replaced the blade for her at no charge. Check and see if they will do the same for you. I'm positive they will.
I recently bought my nutribullet at Kohls after a nice discount thanks to slickdeals site. After a couple of uses, the gasket came off. I don't know if it's because I had the container on too tight or if the gasket is just poorly made. I blended ice, coffee, almond milk, frozen banana, and cocoa. Seemed kind of difficult to remove blade from container, but when I finally did, the gasket came off. Looks like it was glued on. I RMA'd it back with no problems. Took about 10 days to receive. Just received the replacement in the mail today actually. Haven't tried the replacement yet. Looks like it's the same blade version though (doesn't have holes on the bottom of the blade). The gasket doesn't look fully flushed/tight. Hope I didn't get another dud. Going to test it soon. Looks like gasket was a common issue with the old style gaskets from what I see online. Not sure if I have the old style or not...if I have the new version, I hope the newer gasket isn't plagued with problems too.
Instead of replacing the entire blade assembly which seems to go bad more often than desired, a good quality bearing replacement might be the way to go. ruclips.net/video/Iw6VXRSHyNM/видео.html
Why didn't you get it replaced with your guarantee you should not of had to buy that part , specially with it being 6 months old .you just paid more for a faulty item. Anyone else think she was stupid lol
Thx for sharing it, but you could have say that in 45 seconds. Glad, I skipped through most of it. Also you didn't fix it as others mentioned. You replaced.

TheRykung Fixing means doing ANYTHING to eliminate a problem--that includes replacing parts---an auto mechanic does that everytime he tunes up a car by only replacing parts.
zeffur7 no... fixing means to repair something or make something work properly again...she didn't actually fix her blades because she did not work on it, she simply bought a new part, she replaced it. as a whole I will say she did fix her nutribullet because she replaced the broken part, but she did not fix the part. when someone reads the video title they would think she repaired the part, not spend more money to "fix" it. do you understand the difference here?
TheRykung I understand "the difference": perfectly. *Fix:* 1. to *repair*; mend, *or put into order or in good condition*.: dictionary.reference.com/browse/fix *Repair:* 1. to *restore to a good or sound condition* after decay or damage; mend: to repair a motor. 2. to restore or renew *by any process* of making good, strengthening, *etc. * dictionary.reference.com/browse/repair Her video title is "How I fixed my leaking nutribullet!"--which is exactly what she did--she *fixed* her leaking nutribullet (by replacing a part*--whcih is repairing "by any process". her nutribullet and restoring it to a good condition.
When you get your car fixed, sometimes it needs a part replaced and that FIXES the problem. I understand where you're coming from though. It's a little misleading. I was hoping to see her fix it by not spending any money or a diy fix. Oh well, on to another video.
They should replace it for free, since it is defective on their part. But thank you for your information because mine leaks
you didnt fix it, you replaced it lol. well done.
lol
Actually
Kind of the same thing
@@Pertplus not remotely the same
Why hasn't there been a class action suit filed yet?

Have you ever had leaks where it screws on to the cup?
I have the one without the holes after 6months or so does the same thing..
My only problem is ..why wasn't this a free replacement if this was a product problem
Online Scrub University they owe me a motor
Don't worry abut it. The new blade lids without the holes still leak.

I have the blade bottom without holes. I found this video because mine is leaking too.

How come it didn't leak b4 when it always had holes?
those holes have nothing to do with leakage. the seals have failed due to wear in the bearings
Thank you for the info! Very helpful!
I think they should have given it to you for free, seeing that it was their faulty design in the first place.
Disizanewme S They do recommend replacing the extractor assembly every 6 months in their literature--just so you know...

Your video title is very misleading. It should be "I bought a replacement for a leaking nutribullet"
smell of burning from my 3 day old nutribullet. it's going back.
Why did you create a 4 minute video to say you ordered a replacement from nutribullet!?
Instead of replacing the entire blade assembly which seems to go bad more often than desired, a good quality bearing replacement might be the way to go.

so no fix - buy a new lid - I wont get these mins back LOL
thank you pretty lady!
Mine leaks black oil. Yuck!

zeffur7 no... fixing means to repair something or make something work properly again...she didn't actually fix her blades because she did not work on it, she simply bought a new part, she replaced it. as a whole I will say she did fix her nutribullet because she replaced the broken part, but she did not fix the part. when someone reads the video title they would think she repaired the part, not spend more money to "fix" it. do you understand the difference here?
TheRykung I understand "the difference": perfectly.
*Fix:*

*Repair:*
1. to *restore to a good or sound condition* after decay or damage; mend:
to repair a motor.
2. to restore or renew *by any process* of making good, strengthening, *etc. *

Her video title is "How I fixed my leaking nutribullet!"--which is exactly what she did--she *fixed* her leaking nutribullet (by replacing a part*--whcih is repairing "by any process". her nutribullet and restoring it to a good condition.
What a waste of time. Took 3 minutes to say you bought a replacement blade. Steups!
$19.95 (yr. 2020)
I didn't see you fix anything.
q7wasp7 Replacing parts IS a fix. Auto mechanics do it all the time with tune ups to fix rough running engine problems.
You didn't fi it.
You did not fix u replaced
How is replacing it fixing? Weak way to get views hope u don't make money from adds what a joke.
+Big Auk .....great comeback lol. Scumbag.
When you get your car fixed, sometimes it needs a part replaced and that FIXES the problem. I understand where you're coming from though. It's a little misleading. I was hoping to see her fix it by not spending any money or a diy fix. Oh well, on to another video.
She fixed the problem.
Wow
why it wouldn't start
waste of time
You didnt fix anything, you bought new part. Haha so stupid.
Dont say u fix cose u only replace :v
You didn’t fix it. Useless video
