@singingfan I hope they go under. They are expensive to be expensive. Might as well eat a shiny 20 dollar apple in front of someone starving. That's what that horrid place stands for.
@vixxcelacea2778 I've never heard of this place, but this video showed clearly that it exists so that people can indulge in performative status displays.
Yo that would actually be cool. Refine the recipe of the without a recipe concept into something not just edible but actually good... Could even do this one in stages... All the last place, 3rd, 2nd, and then do a final season of all the 1st place wins.... Oh oh oh! Or can even do it by episode and try to remake all 4 to see if it can be turned into a viable recipe and then have family, friends, and the try guys, gals, and nb pals taste test and judge if the remake is worthy and if the original win or lose placement gets changed at all.
the cheaper chicken baby food is what we use at my work at a kitten nursery for the 4-8week olds that refuse to eat their wet food, so be glad jonny that you are enjoying the same diet as Cloud, Gus, and Toast the five week old kittens.
Typically not one to comment re: sponsors, but as a Bombas sock donation recipient, all I can say is thank you. They are the best pair of socks I've ever had and they came at Christmas, as a package tucked into a food box. I am so grateful to everyone who supports their project. Good quality warm socks are something everyone needs. I'd never be able to buy them on my own. Thank you Jonny and thank you Bombas.
Glad to know they're actually doing good. Have heard too many stories of similar companies doing the buy one another gets donated. And it doing more harm than good for the people who received the donation.
Sometimes I don't even know exactly what the "food" is, but the smell makes me retch so bad my stomach hurts. The assault on my nose is like someone is cooking meat with hair, or feathers on it. I felt bad for Jonnycakes, with the baby food.
I don't know what kind of babyfood the US sells, but having a one year old, I felt like he was a tad dramatic. The worst thing I can say about it, is that it's bland. But where I'm from there is little difference between cheap or expensive jars because the rules for babyfood are so strict, so I moght be working with a totally different frame of reference and the food he's eating might be awful 😅
6:13 I can attest that Bombas most definitely does donate their socks to charity. My elderly father is on a very tight fixed income and is fortunate enough to get help from a county program delivering him 5 frozen meals once a week (similar to the meals on wheels program) for about a year now. This past December he was also given a “gift bag” of sorts from the same program that had various items, a blanket, cutting board, etc including a pair of Bombas. They were unfortunately too small for him so he gave them to me for Christmas. They are incredibly comfortable and it was as nice to see something in real time that you hear about a company claiming to do. 20 out of 10 stars to Bombas!! ✨⭐️🌟
ive heard from a lot of folks either working in shelters or who stay at shelters that they get a lot of bombas! it is really nice when a company actually does something to help that they say they will
I needed a lot of help in high school, and got bombas socks in many of my care packs. They have held up amazingly to the point I still own all but one pair I received.
@vizzzyy190 A friend of mine who spent time staying at a shelter has received socks from Bombas. According to that friend, occupants of the shelter were allowed 1 pair per month and the donations were made directly by Bombas. That said, in my friend's experience this only happens at large shelters in dense urban areas. Smaller shelters in suburban and rural areas generally do not receive donations from Bombas.
I know you’re drunk off 5 sips of wine because you said you got the croissant and strawberry wrong. You actually got the beef jerky and strawberry wrong 😂 that $500 wine got you lit honey! Hahaha
6:13 I can attest that Bombas DOES care about your satisfaction! They last for a very, very long time. And when my little sister accidentally got a hole in one years after my mom bought it … they STILL replaced it! They are very comfortable and work for all seasons
Something you also have to consider about jerky as a person whose made it: the wet stuff (you called it meatier) doesnt keep nearly as well and usually needs refrigeration. The drier it is, the better and longer it keeps overall! With jerky thats the name of the game. Plus with long trips or events (like hunting, where i needed it the most) the dry stuff lasts WAY longer. You can eat a pound of it over a couple hours easy and it keeps you from getting hungry as easily vs the wetter being fast to eat and not filling.
In my country they developed strawberries that were sweeter, tastier and more durable. The problem was that they were uglier. People wouldn't buy ugly ones even if they'd taste them first. As domestic strawberries in here are so labor-intensive that the only way them to be profitable is to sell them straight to consumers and not to food industry, the future for the ugly strawberries is not looking good.
That cheap croissant is a Dunkin Donuts croissant if I ever saw one. I wasted 5 years of my life working at one of those, that my friend is a frozen, mass produced croissant for chain stores.
Gurl, you don't need to ask us to stay around till the end, we are rivited by your chaotic madness! Loved this so much! Continue to give carte blanche to your team to test your bouginess!
With the jerky, just from looks I could tell the expensive one was some sort of artisanal jerky, and the other one was just Walmart cash register chewy jerky. They always look red and rubbery like that.
Hi jonny! Idk if youve already done this, but a fun idea would be to turn the tables and you be the one who makes both a cheap and expensive version of cake and have your friends guess which is which
Jonny should do a nailed-it like challenge with his friends and family. Give them some basics for baking then just give them the recipe and what they need to copy. Or try to make desserts from book series.
Hearing your laugh at the end was awesome! Nice flip! Cheap vs. Expensive idea: spices, olive oils, and tips on how to tell what's real and actually worth the price point, and what isn't actually the quality it claims to be~
My mom often made zucchini/lime cake when I was a child it’s one of my favourites. It’s not s a health thing though but the zucchini makes it so nice and moist.
Video idea: Cake twink bakes cake without a key ingredient! Like he has a recipe but can't use butter or something. I just want to watch cake twink try to bake
Smosh has a similar series concept- I don’t remember the name (detective something? Mystery kitchen??) but some members of smosh are given a bunch of different foods and their files (recipes) and they have to guess what’s wrong with it. Pretty neat if that’s what you’re looking for!
wine tasting always makes me think of the episode of frasier where frasier and niles compete to become the “corkmaster” of the wine club 😂 congrats jonny you’re the corkmaster now
I knew the first one from the looks of the cake. We only got store bough cakes for our birthdays growing up, when we actually got a cake. The nostalgia of seeing that piece hit me immediately
You mean your years as a W.A.R. judge didn't prepare you for the taste of the baby food?? The water taste test (14:22) reminded me so much of Josh, Ollie and Gabie (aka Jollibie) bottled water taste test on Jolly channel. It included a very expensive one. And, they only got they got right was the tap water!!🤣😆
@thejonnycakes Fun Fact: Keith and Zach know Josh & Ollie. (Gabie is Josh's wife) Keith did two videos with them. And, Josh & Ollie were on the Trypod (240)
"my boujee mouth" would be a great series name if you keep doing more of these 😂
I’m sold. Great idea.
Damn, that's such a good name for a series like this!
@thejonnycakeswinner winner boujee dinner!
Edited to add: boujee dinner for my broke ass is anything I don’t have to cook myself 😂
@thejonnycakesplease do it! So entertaining.
@thejonnycakes yay! always happy for any more videos :D
This is like an anti ad for erewhon 😭
Unintentionally lol. I do love the Erewhon sushi and soups!
Rightfully so imo 😂
Erewhon is about being seen and wealth.
Well when Erewhon price their items expensive, I see why it get so much hate.
Another video idea: three of Jonny's family/friends each make a cake, and then Jonny eats each one and has to guess who made it.
That would be such a good try guys video honestly 😂
i would binge a series of you remaking failed try guys bakes and officializing them in a real recipe
This is actually a really good idea. Would def watch it too
Yes! That would be so good!
Yo that would actually be cool. Refine the recipe of the without a recipe concept into something not just edible but actually good... Could even do this one in stages... All the last place, 3rd, 2nd, and then do a final season of all the 1st place wins.... Oh oh oh! Yes! We gotta get a win for Daddy's Favorite 😂
im dying for a redeeming the recipe kind of show
the cheaper chicken baby food is what we use at my work at a kitten nursery for the 4-8week olds that refuse to eat their wet food, so be glad jonny that you are enjoying the same diet as Cloud, Gus, and Toast the five week old kittens.
OMG I love those names!
As I was watching I thought "that looks like my cat's Churu!"
@Lilluereleve It does! The other one looked like mustard 😆
I completely missed the kitten part and was PISSED
I immediately clocked it as some form of gerber meat baby food. I don't have human kids but I've used it for sick cats! 😂
Typically not one to comment re: sponsors, but as a Bombas sock donation recipient, all I can say is thank you. Making a bigger fuss over the baby food than all the dog food you’ve eaten is insane 💀
Wait this is so funny.
Sometimes I don't even know exactly what the "food" is, but the smell makes me retch so bad my stomach hurts. The assault on my nose is like someone is cooking meat with hair, or feathers on it.

This warms my heart. So amazing to hear

I needed a lot of help in high school, and got bombas socks in many of my care packs. They have held up amazingly to the point I still own all but one pair I received.
I try to purchase from companies that give back and support causes I believe in and Bombas is one of them! Plus the quality is really good!
@vizzzyy190 A friend of mine who spent time staying at a shelter has received socks from Bombas. According to that friend, occupants of the shelter were allowed 1 pair per month and the donations were made directly by Bombas.

Heyyy get littty mid yt shoot
Jonny to himself: “What that bougie mouth do?”
Today we finally find out
"I like the finer things" he says. Mr. Cakes we've all seen you eat cake off the bathroom floor 😂❤️
Jonny out here training for Cosmopolitan's Expensive Taste Test series!
I’m ready.
I saw those beef jerky plates and called it immediately before he'd even looked at them. As a lover of biltong, it was clear as day.
6:13 I can attest that Bombas DOES care about your satisfaction! They last for a very, very long time. And when my little sister accidentally got a hole in one years after my mom bought it … they STILL replaced it! They are very comfortable and work for all seasons
Comment that makes me laugh the hardest wins! Be messy. I’ll be responding all day.
14:59 “oh me of little faith “ 😂 golden
Jonny after finding out someone bought a $500 bottle of wine: if I don't start flipping cakes I'll be flipping tables
Something you also have to consider about jerky as a person whose made it: the wet stuff (you called it meatier) doesnt keep nearly as well and usually needs refrigeration. Clocked tf in for my Wednesday lunch and Johnny Cakes program
A deadly combo (skip the baby food section).
@thejonnycakes as someone with emetophobia I should have 😭
In my country they developed strawberries that were sweeter, tastier and more durable. The problem was that they were uglier. People wouldn't buy ugly ones even if they'd taste them first. As domestic strawberries in here are so labor-intensive that the only way them to be profitable is to sell them straight to consumers and not to food industry, the future for the ugly strawberries is not looking good.
I would be so happy to get consistently tastier strawberries i wouldn’t care lol
Idk how I feel knowing I could immediately tell the cheap beef jerky by the color lol
"let me double check" aka I'm trying to get drunk while being paid😂
Hahahaha
oh look, my show is back. let me grab a snack
i love tipsy johnny pls do a drunk cake decorating🫶
Oh that’s fun
With the jerky, just from looks I could tell the expensive one was some sort of artisanal jerky, and the other one was just Walmart cash register chewy jerky.
They always look red and rubbery like that.
Yup. The cheap stuff looks basic.
It's literally Jack Links (which I'll eat. I like it)
Hi jonny! Idk if youve already done this, but a fun idea would be to turn the tables and you be the one who makes both a cheap and expensive version of cake and have your friends guess which is which
I’d love to see Jonny do cheap vs expensive chocolate
NEW JONNYCAKES? I'm in!
Well okay then happy to have ya!
Why did the tomato turn red? Cause he saw the salad DRESSING!!!
Erehwon read from right to left is NOWHERE.
Jonny should do a nailed-it like challenge with his friends and family. Give them some basics for baking then just give them the recipe and what they need to copy. Or try to make desserts from book series.

Cheap vs. Expensive idea: spices, olive oils, and tips on how to tell what's real and actually worth the price point, and what isn't actually the quality it claims to be~
Spices and olive oils is a very good suggestion, as there are huge differences in price!
Gifting Bomba's to Cake Twink is so sweet.
Still super excited because the video keeps buffering 😂
Blindfolded next time.
My mom often made zucchini/lime cake when I was a child it’s one of my favourites. It’s not s a health thing though but the zucchini makes it so nice and moist.
you earned my like with that traumatizing baby food tasting!
16:20 $6.99 on a bottle of water? That’s just bottled water at an airport.
I love to watch your vids on a hungry and not so bright day
Video idea: Cake twink bakes cake without a key ingredient! Like he has a recipe but can't use butter or something. I just want to watch cake twink try to bake
and then Jonny has to guess what’s missing
wait that would be so fun
Smosh has a similar series concept- I don’t remember the name (detective something? Mystery kitchen??) but some members of smosh are given a bunch of different foods and their files (recipes) and they have to guess what’s wrong with it. Pretty neat if that’s what you’re looking for!
@CeruleanScribbles it's called Culinary Crimes!
Cheap vs expensive perfume please!
Wait .. if you dont like Jerky .. what is your go to snack for road trips?! And thank you for amazing videos like always!!
3:47 you can spot that quality meat a mile away!!!
Sir, you were more hesitant to eat baby food than you are when you eat pet food. Haha.
Absolutely need more of these episodes! Smoothies, dice, shoes, bracelets, pearls, puppies! 😂
“Like these croissants, I’m torn”
That’s my new favorite saying😂❤👏
"... little sad squirt of wasabi...." 😂😂
I recognised that beef jerkey as soon as I saw it
wine tasting always makes me think of the episode of frasier where frasier and niles compete to become the “corkmaster” of the wine club 😂 congrats jonny you’re the corkmaster now
I’m the cork master!? Never been called that before
Oh the baby food - you are a brave soul - I felt that almost gagging, thank goodness cookie was next! Are you kidding me with the strawberry 🍓!!!
Yes!! The Freckle reference!! So excited to see that
YASSS JONNY IS BACK!!!!
the way you included my all-time favorite tv moment with freckle, omg
Both my fiancé and I would LOVE a cheap vs expensive kitchen gadgets video!
I was lowkey hoping it was the same wine in both glasses
8:24 Pastry chefs when they need resuscitation:
I’m interested in a behind the scenes video to this lol
Cheap vs expensive CEREAL! It's a tough one!
An all cakes version of this has to happen at some point.
Johnny you made me so nervous with the croissant one D :
I was so relieved when you swapped the cards
Love this one. Very fun. I liked that we get to guess along with you.
I knew the first one from the looks of the cake. We only got store bough cakes for our birthdays growing up, when we actually got a cake. The nostalgia of seeing that piece hit me immediately
Watching your videos has become my guilty pleasure. Thank you for making the world a little more fun.
My lunch break just got a whole lot better :)
Aw bone apple tea
The fact that I eat baby food fun and Jonny cannot even look at it 😂😂
Good job Jonny, no cake was harmed in this video 😂
Hey you were pretty spot on!
Enjoy that $500 wine Johnny 😂
We need a blind test!!!
8:25 missed the chance for a Natalie Imbruglia reference.😂
LOL
Takes a single sip of wine: drunk
I would watch many more of these!
Now I want Jonny to make macarons based on baby food and -torture- treat Keith to them lmao.
What about cheap versus expensive vegetables? Or cereal?
This was my fave 😂
The way my jaw dropped at a $500 bottle of wine 😮🫠😂😂
Cheap vs expensive candy and chocolates or charcuterie boards
Why to make your own baby food 101 ❤
When it comes to desserts, I have the palate of a child.
The wine video you mentioned sounds like it would be fun! Or fancy vs cheap cheeses.
Should do a vid with QTcinderella
This is just making me want to try all of these lol
The cake flip was impressive 💯
I'm commenting because of the baby food. You deserve good things
You’re like the water sommel-YAY now 🎉
500$ wine is crazyyyyyyyyyy🤣rip Jonny’s bank account
I have those half and half cookies in my kitchen right now!
The placement of the Bombas commercial made it seem like round three was eating socks 💀
Baby food. Yummy. Lol.
king jonny is back
I liked and subscribed JUST because of your plea after the baby food. 😂
cheap vs expensive dark chocolate!
i was gagging at the baby food
Mr. Nice Cakes 😂
Barry Lewis does a really good series like this where he and his wife will make the same recipe using cheap vs expensive product. Very interesting
You mean your years as a W.A.R. judge didn't prepare you for the taste of the baby food?? The water taste test (14:22) reminded me so much of Josh, Ollie and Gabie (aka Jollibie) bottled water taste test on Jolly channel. It included a very expensive one. I gotta watch that omg
@thejonnycakes Fun Fact: Keith and Zach know Josh & Ollie. (Gabie is Josh's wife) Keith did two videos with them. And, Josh & Ollie were on the Trypod (240)
Try replacing personal items of your crew with cake without them noticing
The $6 croissant looks like something you'd get at Sam's..
