You've blown my mind! I spent a lot of my teen years working in Burwood, but probably haven't been there in nearly 30 years (which is waaaay longer than it feels, so I'm freaking out a little at that maths). When I saw this video, I was freaking out "There's a Chinatown in Burwood? What?!" I'll definitely go there next time I'm in Sydney (and will no doubt have ro walk around and freak out about how much my youthful stomping ground has changed!). Thanks for the review (and blowing my mind), Janice 😊
Another great Video Janice! Thanks for sharing. I've never been to Burwood Chinatown Night Markets before, definitely on my to do list now. The food looks absolutely amazing! 😊
I live in Strathfield, and go to Burwood Chinatown regularly. But I've never done the night markets there. Thanks for the video, it has made me realise I really need to go. Love your videos Janice and look forward to the next one.
There are some nice places outside of Burwood Chinatown as well, some nice uyghur restaurants up Burwood Road, Ice Kirin Bar icecream across the road from Burwood Chinatown, Mr Stonepot down Burwood Road, a couple of Hk-styled cafes as well
Hi Janice, if you had to recommend one family style Chinese restaurant and one dim sum place in Sydney, what would it be? By family style I mean the type of restaurants where families sit at a round table and order dishes to share. Thank you!
Thanks for the video, Janice. Burwood Night market is one of my travel spots in my upcoming trip to Sydney . Do you recon cash or card is the better payment option at the food stalls? Keep on the good work.
Just looked at their menu, they do have blueberry egg tarts on it. The shop is the second one on the left when you enter Burwood Chinatown from the Burwood Road entrance.
Great vid Janice! Was hoping you'd get some chicken feet..❤❤ Takoyaki is 🤮, the ONLY thing you have ever eaten that I will never eat again. Yuck. Love all ethnic night markets! Would love to see more. Thanks, Janice. 🤗❤️👍👍
Great vid Janice! For $100 I think I’d just devour every lamb skewer and dumpling I saw, and then hibernate for several days. Recover, rinse and repeat!😂 Ps. You should have grabbed a coffee down at Sahara - just up from Westfield. They make an awesome brew.
Burwood has some great food I love the skewers and dumplings but value for money I think Eastwood is better ..I love how they have the Korean and Chinese section ..x💗🥰🫶❤️
Thank you so much for stopping by Burwood Chinatown! We hope you had a great time exploring☺Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
ahh thank you! will be back very soon 😉
Can do anything there
Omg!!! Janice speaks mandarin!! Nice video janice ❤

Hey Dragonflygirl, me too, I left the CBA almost 30 years ago and haven't been to Burwood since then. There wasn't a 'China Town' before!!
Burwood is really changing to a foodie heaven now, great!
The quality of video is damn good! Good work Janice!
The mini dumplings looked delicious!

Haven't finished watching the video yet but love this relaxed style of videos Janice! Would love to see more :)

Tbh I think cash would be better - no
Surcharge!
The egg tart is probably the Hokkaido tarts
fujimi bakehouse had really yummy egg tarts
@@LiaYzabel oh they sell nice pancakes here too!
Speaking as a Chinese migrant, growing up in where Tang Hu Lu was originated, the only fruit I can accept is hawthorn😂
haha it's actually a pretty nice pairing because the first is a bit sour which works well with the sugary exterior
Presenter Janice, are u gonna sell the DIY looking mic?
Mouth started watering with the b-roll intro. Making me hungry
thank you for watching!!
Was lovely meeting you egg tart guy 😁
The egg tart shop is called Fujimi Bake House 😅
Yooo was so good to meet you Eric! I couldn’t find that egg tart place.. 🥲 lmk if you rmb the name 🙏
@JaniceFung Fujimi Bake House 🎉
Looks awesome!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
We need food shops like that out here in Campbelltown, there's none here😔
$8.50 for the 1st item was already crazy sis
Hello 👋 Janice in Burwood China town wow so good showing yum 😋 yum 😋 have fun 🤩👍❤️❤️

Bro if you go to Burwood china town at night it is going to be CRAZY
yum and more yum
☺️☺️☺️
Hi Janice, can you do a review of the Lebanese El Jannah that's become so popular now in Sydney? Thanks.
I really want to go to Burwood but I feel like it's such an effort to get out there on my short trips to Sydney with kids in tow! 😂
around what time do the food vendors open and close
their night markets start around 5pm till late (around 10 - 11pm, depending on the stall) every Thursday to Sunday.
哈哈 终于来了100元挑战 其实有一次在chatswood的海底捞看到你了 但不好意思去打招呼 期待下次偶遇吧
Wah!! I’m impressed with your mandarin skills!!! Just as impressive as your Cantonese skills 👍👊
haha you're too kind! it's very rusty - I still gotta practice more
Was hoping you would try the South Korean Binsu, close to Tanghulu.
oooh I'll make a note of that for next time, thank you!
love the video!
thank you!!! 💛💛
The shop with a lot of egg tarts is Fujimi Bakehouse, not sure if it has blueberries egg tarts, but I saw BOBA ones.
Just looked at their menu, they do have blueberry egg tarts on it. The shop is the second one on the left when you enter Burwood Chinatown from the Burwood Road entrance.
Thank you! 🙏
Great vid Janice! Was hoping you'd get some chicken feet..❤❤
Takoyaki is 🤮, the ONLY thing you have ever eaten that I will never eat again. Yuck.
Love all ethnic night markets! Would love to see more. Thanks, Janice. 🤗❤️👍👍
thanks for watching! ooh is it the texture of takoyaki you dont like?
I wanted to head to the chicken feet place - but got too full by the time haha
You should do a video of cafe and pubs with the nicest views like Newport.
ooooh do you have any particular ones you'd like to see?
Fujimi is the egg tart place!
ahhh 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Burwood is good. But for me Hurstville is the best for anything Chinese food
oooh yes I gotta do a vid on Hurstville for sure
@@JaniceFung the yum Cha at new blue ocean inside club cebtral is regarded by Sydney Chinese community as the best on offer in Sydney
I'm glad you said, "try" in the title. Because I could not!
need to bring round more people next time !
what country is this? Food is so expensive
JF i only played this to get you paid . Oh yeah your cool too . Blessings to the whole family Jaffa and crew 😂😂😂🎉🍜🍋👍
Haha appreciate it all the same!
Burwood is awesome for food
Where would you go if you had $100 to spend?
Probably just eat the buns and keep the rest lol
The Chinese Halal Restaurant outside on the street.
So evil, she's not sharing the ice cream 😂😂😂😂
No way you didn’t try the grill corn and corn soft serve. 😩😩😩
Wait which shop???
Opposite No.1 malatang
$100 = 10 pints of tiger beer at Burwood Hotel 😊
hahah 🍻
Good video
cheers Joseph!
❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Janice, great video , Burwood is hip now, 1st time I hear you speak mandarin 😂
It’s passable 😂 room for improvement
Canto accent 😂
Burwood had become the chinatown of Sydney.
15$ burger combo at your local tuck shop is more satisfying than this
Oh dear , how could you ignore the chicken feet !
$100 in Burwood? I'd just go to Rengaya for their $95 premium buffet and eat until I explode 😂
Not a bad idea
Good choice😂😂 i hate when I'm hungry
What happened to uploading a new video EVERY week?
9 bucks for coconut - really nut price
$100 wont last you long Janice. That place is a extortion racket with prices that are borderline insane.
🥲
Great vid Janice! For $100 I think I’d just devour every lamb skewer and dumpling I saw, and then hibernate for several days. Recover, rinse and repeat!😂
Ps. You should have grabbed a coffee down at Sahara - just up from Westfield. They make an awesome brew.
it'll get you 38 lamb skewers haha
also thank you for the rec! will check it out next time im in need of a coffee ☕️
These ABC's make me laugh!!!
8:43 I'm starting to not hear u
Burwood is better than Eastwood. Just saying...
There's still good value to be found in Eastwood, can't say the same for Burwood.
Your $100 would go a lot further at Eastwood
But it is better than Earlwood and Chatswood?
Only if you like modern, flashy
If you compare them to Hurstville
lol. What a rip off.
Janice seems very hot now, is it just me noticing this?
Are u nuts? $100 on food, some people are starving to death
And the $100 bill can feed them?
I spent more than $100 on food. Roster
@@williamchoi6902 depends on the mood obviously
Sydney is so expensive
