I've always liked Tessitore, as a football announcer - not a boxing fan, so don't know that side of it. I think his chances for success are greater now that Vince isn't around to yell in his earpiece for 2-3 hours.
Tessatore is good. He's used to calling boxing, so this may not be that unfamiliar to him. If ppl are constantly in his ear during matches, then that may screw with him. But as long as he learns from his peers, he'll be fine. On a personal note, I miss Friday night fights on ESPN, with him and Teddy Atlas calling the fights. 😢
College football is the only thing I prioritize over wrestling (Roll Tide) and having Tessitore call WWE is going to be just so weird.. hopefully in a good way though. Two of my favorite things crossing over.
@ricky4772 I forgot until you reminded me lol but yeah. Brad Nessler. That was pretty cool. Yall boys got one over on us last season. Maybe the cards will fall right and we can meet in Atlanta for the SEC title this year
@@NDiddy bama is literally giving me nightmares in college football 25 no joke. Never hated them except for when colt got hurt but I got over that finally last year 😂
Tessitore is also the lead play-by-play for some of the Fight Night games as well. That's where I caught wind of his announcer skills, and I enjoyed what he did in those games. I'm optimistic about what Tessitore can do in WWE.
I honestly hope this works out and doesn't flop just like it did in the past with Adnan virk and Jimmy smith glad pat McAfee and Michael cole are staying together why fix what isn't broken?
@@armandomorales0921LMAO I'm actually looking forward to this but what I hope doesn't happen is that this flops just like it did with Adnan virk and Jimmy smith hopefully I'm proven wrong.
nobody gives a $h!+, this is pro wrestling. Now that they've merged WWE and UFC to form TKO, I wish they'd bring back Jimmy Smith, even if it's for NXT. I liked Jimmy's commentary, and I don't think he got enough time to get acclimated and knowledgeable enough for the role he had. Did anyone else like Jimmy Smith, or is it just me?
I dont see why they dont send him to NXT. Since development is what is what that show is for. They put these guys to the mainroster & they never last. Maybe learn the job before you do the job. That way when he goes to Raw or Smackdown he is not dead on arrival when he gets there.
Those previous announcers were in the Vince McMahon era. And even with Mc Rapey yelling in his ear Mauro Ranallo was great.
I would give my left arm to have Mauro back.
Don't forget Mike Adamle

Mauro shouldn’t be on that list. He was excellent. & if Vince & Graves weren’t dicks, he’d probably still be there.
Holy Moly was probably the best training possible for WWE, since it's calling something very silly in a serious way.
I like tessitore. He could be solid
Joe Tessatore is a step up for WWE.
Mauro was perfect fit back then. I say it's all JBL's and Corey Graves' faults for pushing Mauro off and mess with him.
