It's sad, but Luke Shaw is not physically capable of playing in the Premier League. His situation is ridiculously similar to Reece James: excellent players when healthy, but they are constantly injured. Thinking about the club, I think an interesting option for January would be to bring in Carreras (Benfica) to rotate with Malacia, and in the summer, try to sign someone to be the starter. Players like Hincapié (Leverkusen), who can play as a centre-back, Kerkez (Bournemouth), who has great physical strength, or the talented Gutiérrez (Girona), who will be one of the best full-backs in the world in the future.

easier said then done his contract is till 2027, currently injured , not one club is gonna take a risk and go for him at his wages, we gonna be stuck with him till 2027 most likely
When i said eth has screwed us most of our fans did not see it. Eth should not have given bruno rashford dalot or luke shaw new contracts. When have you ever seen us sell players? This renewing contracts to protect the value just doesnt work at man united. Highest price we sold a player for the past 10years is dan james for 25mil ffs.
I said about 3 (maybe 4) years ago that this guy is constantly injured so why have him? Sell him. He's sitting on massive wages so he's not that "devastated". Sell him. He's evidently uselss to us. Constantly injured is helping us how?
Luke Shaw has a contract worth £150K per week until June 2027. Over that time his salary will be £19.5 MILLION. If you think that he will walk away from that contract, or another club will take him on those wages, paying a fee for him...i have a bridge that i want to sell you! Also, which club will sign him on loan and pay, say, half his wages (£75K per week) for a player that CAN'T be guaranteed to play half of the games over that loan contract. He will stay at United and play on and off (more off) until his contract is done and we let him walk away in 2027. No-one will buy him, he won't be loaned, and he won't go for any fraction of his wages - why should he?!
When he swanned off to the euros..played 3 games for England having been injured all season for Utd then returns back to the club that pays his salary injured for the start off the new season …shocking …Fergie would have moved him on or made him aware that you’ll never play for Utd ever again!!!!
Should’ve been sold the season after his leg break, but this club are a total shambles. Now he’s outstayed about 6 managers since then and played about 2 season worth of games. Just tear up his contract and boot him out. DDG got treated worse than Shaw and DDG was our player of the season numerous times and Golden Glove winner.
I had a similar injury to Shaw when I was 14 and it has haunted me in various forms throughout my life (I am 35 now). Obviously I am not an elite athlete with a team around me, but sometimes these massive injuries just stay with your body in one way or another. You should always have sympathy, he obviously tries. Going forward, we obviously need a new left back and another new/young center back, so I think he has to be moved on. We have to learn from the past of hanging onto players for too long. Yes, there is a very good player in Shaw, we've all seen it, but we can't pretend like there aren't other good, young players out there that deserve their opportunity and if taken, could regularly be available for the team. Not being available but being in the squad has a massive impact on the whole team and progression of the younger ones.
The only other possible solution (apart from selling or loaning) is to transition him into a full time LCB/CB. It's a less physically demanding position and he proved that he could play quite well as a CB. His carreer as a LB/LWB at United should have been done by now.
Feel so sorry for the guy. His body is broken, he only has to do his job 1 game a season, and earns 100k+ a season. Yet people have the cheek to mention the 250 regular wage employees INEOS have let go. Some people have no empathy. Luke Shaw is the real victim here.
I think most people are devastated, he needs replacing though. As good as he was he’s never gonna be fit for more than a game or 2. If Ineos were to release him surely he would come to some agreement because of the amount of money he’s been paid whilst injured for the club
Sometimes injuries cause systemic weakness. You can have the best physio in the world. Footballers are always rushing back to fitness. In all honesty he probably needed a year off to fully strengthen all tendons. Muscles respond quickly but ligaments do not. Nerves can be disconnected along the neuromuscular pathways for months. Have united got time. Amass needs to be brought into the squad. I’ve been watching him for a couple of years and he’s strengthened his physicality by a mile this season. I think he can handle it. Awesome going forward and defensively tenacious in the challenge. He just needs to learn the responsibility and accept it.
I'm as pragmatic with Shaw as with Rashford's cases, they need to output regularly. Any situation where the norm is that you just don't know if you can count on the player, whatever are the surrounding circumstances, you need to let those players go and see if it works better for them at another club.
I have mixed feelings about Luke Shaw, part of me feels bad for him, going through such an awful leg injury years ago, but the sheer number of times he has come back and re-injured himself begs the question. What is really going on? Is it the after effects of having an awful broken leg injury, or is it simply bad luck, over and over again. Statistically I would think there is something else going on or is Luke Shaw truly that unlucky? In the end, I look at it this way, regardless of what is truly going on, Luke Shaw is a LIABILITY. He has proven himself (a liability) over and over again.
Personally I’ve never had much time for the guy. He came to the club overweight and acting like Billy big balls. The coaches had to have a word with him on week 1. He didn’t look after himself properly in his younger years and paid the price with injuries. By his own admission, he couldn’t always motivate himself either. The odd purple patch doesn’t make up for a decade of absence and disappointment
How is he getting injured when Amorim clearly said we don't train now because of the little time to recover between games .. all we do is walk and jogging 😂
@@Shadow_Blazer who will train then when 11 players are on the field 6 of them played full 90 the test of them played 60 or more ? The one from the bench will train on the next day with the youngsters so what kind of training do you think they do? Be realistic we have what 2 days 3 max between games and the first day is rest and the other 2 are probably video analysis and preparation for the next game no hard training
This I really unfortunate for Shaw. However, we'll have to move him on even if we take a loss because getting rid of his wages will help our club in the long run.
*Option 5:* Sit does with him and see if he's open to restructuring his contract to a more bonus related one (like Michael Owen used to have, with similar fitness concerns). Even if he can't play every game it's great to have experienced heads like that around the squad (him, Evans, Erikson, etc). It's not like we're "wasting" him (like we do some players) and he'd be playing a lot more football somewhere else. This could suit both parties.
It's an option. I think it's unlikely, as it would affect his pay. (And probably a lot, given his injuries) The loan idea, with United subsidizing part of his salary - like we did with Sancho - would be the most economically savvy option for club and player...not sure any club would take the risk, though. He currently gets around £175K a week. With 2.5 yrs left on his contact, that's near 23mil if we terminate his contract. If we are able to get half his wage covered (I'm an optimist😅), that at least frees up a space in the squad and lessens the salary burden a little.
@dustinmccrindle343 but which clubs would pay £90k/w for a player who's never fit? I think it'll be closer to 25% of his wages. If that's the best we can get, fair enough. But I'd like to see him offered a deal where he could earn *more* if he was fit 90% of the time. Maybe £100k base and £100k bonus. Something that will encourage him to bet on being successful. If he doesn't take it, we'll have learnt something.
I hate how our fans are attacking him as if he prefers being injured. He can’t control how his body reacts. Some people have bad genetics or luck. Put the blame on Man Utd for not having had gotten a quality LB as his competition even b4 he was injured. The best clubs in the world usually have 2 good players for every position. I actually feel bad for him because he’s been class when he came on the last 2 games. Don’t hate on him, put the onus on the club.
i would like Shaw to stay in the club in some capacity, whether that be a player coach while he does his badges. But if he wants to continue at this level, he will need to move on, but I can't see anyone taking the risk on him
Why's he only making statements now? Been injured for a decade. I have no sympathy, we all know he puts England above Man Utd. He needs to go regardless, but to pretend there isn't a lack of commitment is disingenuous
We need to show shaw the door we need players who fitness is good he is more in the medical room than any where else sorry luke time is up thanks for your service
Option no. 5. Seriously take up yoga, like Ryan Giggs. Will deal with his muscular and joint injuries. Yoga gave Giggs another 8-10 years of football life. Might work for Shaw.
It never should've come to thus. The man's played in less than half available matches over thr last five years. At some point we'll before now, maybe of us came to the conclusion that he's too injury prone to rely upon. Too many talking heads and pundits backed him to the hilt, and some still do. Read the room sooner, but more importantly open your eyes and mind to the basic facts. Shaws injury ruined his career and unfortunately, as much as we wanted it to work at united, we need to root for thr player ok another team. We can't carry players like this anymore. I 100% root for him, he's my favorite left back of the last decade, but he hasnt been able to handle this league in four or five years
Sucks for Shaw to be dealing again with another injury because when he is 100% he can do the job. Maybe this year needs to be his last for Utd as from a club pov we can't keep having an injury prone player on the books.

I understand that Shaw suffered a broken leg a few years back now and that type of injury can end a career immediately in some cases. Shaw managed to come back to he's credit, but the last few years has seen he's injury count go threw the roof. He is ALWAYS injured. Shaw should have gone in Jose's time already. He has tarnished he's reputation this past season by going to the Euro's after missing the whole season for United. So he may not be faking injuries, but those types of decisions surely makes fans question whether that is the case. Sell him please.

Man, you’re worried about this thing as if you’re paying for it. I think the least we have to worry about right now is Luke Shaw.
United aren't a charity. Need to stop acting like one
Your solution being?
@OtherSideOfMorning get rid of all these clingers on or at the very least don't renew their contracts. Man utd have a history of doing neither.
@@OtherSideOfMorning
Simple, GET RID!
The end of Luke slowly started after that Leg Break
Really sad for him . Such a great player in his position may be one of the best in the PL
Time to call it to an end
He could come to Sporting and restart his career.its less demanding than the PL but strong enough for him to regain his desire to win.
Everton bound
3 more years. Another Martial, Phil Jones we’re stuck
Club needs to write a clause in new contracts regarding missed games and serious injuries players who can't play week in week out could be paid off
Best left back we have ever had
You make sense.
Like the Andrea Bocelli song. “Time to say goodbye” to Luke Shaw.
He did everything to make the England squad but he couldn't be bothered with getting ready for United. I have no compassion for him
I'm as pragmatic with Shaw as with Rashford's cases, they need to output regularly.
He also said if you are not playing you are training
@@Shadow_Blazer who will train then when 11 players are on the field 6 of them played full 90 the test of them played 60 or more ? The one from the bench will train on the next day with the youngsters so what kind of training do you think they do? Be realistic we have what 2 days 3 max between games and the first day is rest and the other 2 are probably video analysis and preparation for the next game no hard training
How many chances does he want? He has to go this summer.
(And probably a lot, given his injuries)
The loan idea, with United subsidizing part of his salary - like we did with Sancho - would be the most economically savvy option for club and player...not sure any club would take the risk, though.
Na, are you luke shaw?
@Cron-Wick 😆 fair.
We did buy a quality back up for his position - Malacia. Unfortunately, he's also made out of glass.
I'm 57 and train every day and heavy spar ( in muay Thai ) every week and do not get injured like Luke Shaw. He should be in a nursing home!
Shaw needs to play in a bit slower league to regain his form and consistency before he can integrated back to the team
What annoys me is that he criticized the club’s handling of his injury
Good luck to Shaw injuries spoiled everything
i would like Shaw to stay in the club in some capacity, whether that be a player coach while he does his badges.
Really sad. Feel sorry for Shaw. We have to move on without him. His days are numbered in a United shirt.😢
We need to show shaw the door we need players who fitness is good he is more in the medical room than any where else sorry luke time is up thanks for your service
Man Utd should try and sell him to Saudi Arabia. No club in Europe will want to buy an injury prone player on those wages.
Option no. 5. Seriously take up yoga, like Ryan Giggs. Will deal with his muscular and joint injuries. Yoga gave Giggs another 8-10 years of football life. Might work for Shaw.
Sick to death by this sick note. Rip his contract. Give Harry Amass the job long-term
He must go simple
It never should've come to thus. The man's played in less than half available matches over thr last five years. At some point we'll before now, maybe of us came to the conclusion that he's too injury prone to rely upon. Too many talking heads and pundits backed him to the hilt, and some still do.
Read the room sooner, but more importantly open your eyes and mind to the basic facts. Shaws injury ruined his career and unfortunately, as much as we wanted it to work at united, we need to root for thr player ok another team. We can't carry players like this anymore.
I 100% root for him, he's my favorite left back of the last decade, but he hasnt been able to handle this league in four or five years
Which clown is responsible for giving him a new contract? 🤔
We all Shaw it coming.
Sucks for Shaw to be dealing again with another injury because when he is 100% he can do the job. Maybe this year needs to be his last for Utd as from a club pov we can't keep having an injury prone player on the books.
This man almost lost his leg at the age of 20 and decided to keep on going. Props to him but i think it's time to call it time.
At 29, sadly, he is already at his peak and with this constant injury, best let him go

According to transfer market here is his injury record
He was inexplicably fit for England, I found that very dodgy. I'll be happy to see him go
I understand that Shaw suffered a broken leg a few years back now and that type of injury can end a career immediately in some cases.
He should finish his career, the biggest part of 10 years in the club he is injured
All United need to do is build up his fitness, get him playing again & then sell him!
Can you do a video on left back alternatives out there? Because there aren't many 🤔
Not many but some really great options with the likes of Davies and Ait-Nori, if we can get one of those we'll be laughing!
Rewatch the video in full fam
@@VivoZzz I watched it... He said we can't sell but that's not true. Get him playing again, make him look brand new & sell on the cheap... Same way we did with Donny, Greenwood, AWB & Mctominay. The era is over for these guys!
@@TheCJsamson how can you say Davies & in the very same breath say Ait Nouri... Like who tf is that guy really? He's an average baller at best playing in a below average team.
Another Phil Jones , Martial , Hargreaves in the making . MU must not repeat the same mistake .
If Shaw is sincere & serious , put him in the pay as you play terms
Buy Alvaro Fernandez in January, and we're set for that LB
The only thing he is devastated about is Southgate isn't England manager anymore. He's a traitor to the club and should have his 200k a week contract cancelled
Absolutely 💯 this comment of truth should be on top 🔝
Should be a clause on contracts around injuries..
Any other business doesn’t work the same.
Your ill you get sick pay!
The reality is that ManUtd needs a Left Back that’s not always injured. And needs it in the Winter Market!
