    This review definitely pushed me to get the X-Pod II sling. I've tried Tomtocs and Bellroys, and none of those suit my style or have the modular design I need for my day to day. Mine came in today, and I can't stop messing around with it. Got it in tropic and not looking back.
    Great review.

      Here that’s good to hear! I actually now think the tropic is a good colourway, I first didn’t like it but actually it grew on me. Sometimes black is too bold, especially I wear a lot of natural colours for outfits. Thank you for the feedback

    With this review I made a purchase! It's unfortunate the company didn't have the Pitch Black color available so I had to buy from an authorized reseller. I also appreciate that subtle detail at 1:40 showcasing the back of the S Carabiner so it's easy to determine which size would attach to the strap perfectly which I am also getting. This was a well spoken and very informative review.

      You can always get a larger carabiner too, to clip it on the outside, I tied some cord to the top of my bottle with a carabiner clip, just free up the hands when needed you get me 👍🏻

      @@WilliamChuong I was thinking of sliding it through the straps in the front and somehow securing it so it doesn’t fall out.

      @WilliamChuong  Год назад

      @@aeryn4061 yeah that could be possible although depends what type of bottle you have, mine literally just slides out from movement.

    i wonder what other brands/model of sling bags would be considered as an alternative to the xpod/xpod2? Same techwear-esque look, w/ neoprene-like material at the back, number of pockets for easy organization, & overall functionality

    do you have experience with the aer slings? i've been debating between the x-pod and these and just curious if you have any thoughts about how they compare

    • @WilliamChuong
      @WilliamChuong  Год назад +1

      I don’t unfortunately, it’s actually difficult to get Aer since not many places carry it here in uk and atm it’s quite expensive to even get in from overseas, not feasible atm. But as far as I’m aware, Aer does have a simple cleaner profile vs the code of bell, if you like a technical utility aesthetic code of bell is the one to go. As far with the compression straps and attachment offers on the exterior, there’s a lot more character and a bit more to offer on the exterior. But maybe if you like a simple bag, Aer may be better. Hope that helps

      @@WilliamChuong would a smaller mirrorless camera with a smaller lens fit in the main/middle compartment? or does it not really expand at all? i was concerned about the compression straps not being enough to keep a camera in place plus maybe getting damaged by other things in the front pocket like keys

    • @iamweiqian
      @iamweiqian Год назад +1

      I had a Aer City Sling 2, I sold it after a few months because it’s not comfortable after a long hours on your shoulder, and it’s very small and tight inside. I’m the kind of person who brings water bottle everywhere, City Sling 2 can’t really fit unless you got something like Memobottle.
      I just received X-Pod II today, I like that I can fit a lot of things inside and fold it when I don’t need the space, but I haven’t really used it yet, so I can’t comment much.

    • @WilliamChuong

      @@iamweiqianoh ok, that’s interesting, I never got to try Aer products yet but that’s something to note for sure in the future. Thank you for sharing that!
      Yeah recently I went on a little domestic trip and I was testing out a 500ml water bottle that had a clip. My Xpod was quite full so I had it clipped at the bottom of the strap everywhere I went with 0 issues at all. It was good and the compression straps were perfect to hold my fleece coat too when it got too hot

    Good stuff! Do you think it would fit an iPad Mini 6?

    • @WilliamChuong
      @WilliamChuong  Год назад +3

      Hey Ryan, looking at the measurements online of the 2021 iPad Mini 6th Gen, 195.4mm x 134.8mm, the iPad seems like it will be extremely tight in the large compartment, it will just about fit, it also seems it may need to be angled a bit more or the material will need to be stretched to zip close properly.
      The middle compartment with the inner mesh zips seems like it would just about fit it aswell but you’ll not be able to fit other things in there as well, it will be quite tight as it’s more narrower.
      I actually used a measuring tape to align it more a better reading. Hope that helps.
