Hi Justine, I would suggest avoiding dumping too many onion rings into the batter at once. The longer you soak the onion rings inside, the more likely the excess flour coating the onion rings will combine with the batter and make the batter thicker. The thicker the batter the harder the less likely you will get a crunchy end product. Thanks for subscribing! How to pan fry bread crumbs sir?
You can add some oil/butter to a pan and heat the breadcrumbs in low heat and stir continuously so it doesn’t burn. It should crisp up quite well.
