❤️ thank you for sharing! I agree being vulnerable and honest is so helpful. I always was around medicine growing up with family members in and out of hospitals and doctor’s offices, I myself have an eating disorder that led to brain damage and induced epilepsy. It is important to be able to be on the patient side and then go into nursing/the provider role so that you can relate with your patients, in my opinion. I worked in the ER for 4 years as an RN and then am going back to get my MSN to hopefully do urgent care or episodic visits in a family practice setting. I love your videos and am so thankful for all that you’ve been through and where you are today, helping not only patients, but also those of us going back to school needing a little extra assistance. My epilepsy led to some acute short term memory loss and your dump sheets have a perfect summary to learn first, and then be able to expound upon for the more in-depth details that are needed for each subject. I adore the person you are and I love the difference you are making. 😌

thank you so much for sharing, Kaitlin! It definitely sounds like you have been through a lot and our nursing experiences are quite similar. I'm thankful you've been able to use what you've been through as well and turn it into something positive. We definitely all have our own personal struggles, so trying to find the good just seems to make sense. Keep in touch, I'm excited to hear how your journey plays out! And also thank you for all the kind words, so glad I've been even a small help to you on your journey.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am a kidney transplant patient and now I enjoying giving back to dialysis patients. Now, I look forward to reaching more when I become an AGNP (2nd Year)! Super exciting to work with patients that are like me and need to see that life can get better. I like that sayin...that you are not your disease.

I’m so happy I found your channel!! Thank you for sharing your story. It always interests me how people answer these call to be a nurse. Everyone in my family is in healthcare so that is initially why I went into it, although some days I dreamt of becoming a librarian (I love to read). I practiced as a nurse in med surg, oncology, and cardiology before becoming a family nurse practitioner. While I initially chose nursing as my career because I thought it was expected, I stay in it because I truly want to help others improve their health, in turn my life is enriched by the countless stories of resilience (such as your own) that I get to be a part of daily.

Loved reading this. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story. So funny about the librarian comment, I just told someone yesterday how a librarian has one of the best jobs haha
