Thanks for the review, I just purchased one of these with the 3000mW laser. I know the video's 4 years old and you've probably moved on from it, but do you know if this can handle glass or metals? I primarily want to use it for leather and wood, but it'd be good to know and Google seems to fail me.
There is one of these on eBay as " NEJE 1000mW DIY Laser USB" that item will give you all the info. I know can't do metal. Can do leather and wood. Hope this helps a bit :)
@@peterlustig362 I bought some anodized aluminum business cards to try it out, since I read a 3000 mw blue laser should be able to etch the anodization off of them. So far, with the highest burn time and up to 6 passes, all I'm able to get is a faint ghosted-looking etch. I've tried focusing the beam to it's sharpest point with no real difference. There's absolutely no way it'd work on even the most malleable metals.

They come with a silicone mat to lay so you stuff doesnt move around. Great vid.
