Hi there. You mention on 0:42 that this looks like the moon. Well, NASA thought so and brought the Apollo astronauts to that area for training before the moonwalks. It is nice to see such good videos of my country. I have traveled all around Iceland in vehicles and now I plan to do so on my motorbike.
Google Maps isn't actually a good source for planning road trips in Iceland. Some roads and tracks aren't even shown. E. g. you could have gone way further into the center of the highlands on the difficult Gæsavatnaleið road to the Sprengisandur road. But this road isn't even shown on Google Maps. But you can actually find it on OpenStreetMap.
