It's always good to see the monk in action. I soloed this fight with him too, my favorite Lancer, and i'm happy that you're a man of culture as well for using him, XD
He really is, his NP which basically gives him a one hit dodge, an attack buff and Critical damage/star gen, The fact he has 3 quick cards at 3 hits each and his NP is an arts making it even more spamable and once he gets going he's Merlin mixed with Jack. It's crazy that he's a 3 star
Hōzōin is a true spear master. I can’t wait to let him tear into Caster of Limbo for what he did to him. The same goes for Tomoe, Chiyome, Ibaraki (filling in for Shuten, who I don’t have), Kotarō (for himself and Danzo), and Musashi.
Hozoin is basically smacking a loli Jack into the fanon wanted Merlin-esque Quick support, rolling it into one package and giving it abs of steel and a poking stick.
It terms of solo gameplay Cu is far better. However in a team context they are apples and oranges. Tho I've found Hozoin doesn't sync up very well with other low star units. His gimmick of looping his NP is reliant on specfic CEs and some rarer units like Waver/Merlin. That being said when you can make Hozoin's gimmick work his damage is crazy high. Also worth noting Hozoin is a good star generator for any team rarity. Cu is more reliable. He works well with low and high rarity units and isn't heavily reliant on specfic CEs. Cu shines as a last stand unit and a solo unit. So as I said before their functions are very differant. But I think Cu is easily the better budget option.
How does cu work well with anyone? He has no support or offensive skills, his quick doesn't gen stars well and doesn't do arts chains very well. He just kinda does his own thing, and I guess that technically means Cu will perform pretty much the same no matter what team you stick him in?
puenboy1 Pretty much as that's what he meant as a last stand unit. Slap Cu in the very last spot of your team so he can clean up anything that breaks through your front lines unless they're a Saber class enemy.
