Had a great time! You'll enjoy the Auto train. Two parts I especially enjoyed were the James River in Richmond, and seeing 20-30 KC-135s on the flightline at Jacksonville NAS. You pass right through the base!
We're riding the autotrain next week to Lorton. Thanks for a preview for our trip. What time is the start of car check-in at Sanford? Is food at the diner car included for coach passengers? Thanks for your response!!
I would strongly recommend getting there by 2. I think check-in was something like 3 PM, but if you're taking any of I-4, you know the nightmare. If you do coach, I recommend one of those travel pillows (the foam one, comfy and sells for $10 at Wal-Mart. Also has a night thing to cover your eyes included). Coach has tons of legroom & seats go back pretty far. But food is just the diner car, which are hot dogs, burgers and the like that you pay for when you order. Breakfast is free there in the morning. Cereal, muffins, orange juice, milk, etc. Have a great time! You'll like it!
Great!!
That was nice Jeff. I didn’t recognize hardly anyone. After 40 years that can happen.
That's how it was for me. When you got up close was when you started recognizing them.
Oooo! Always been interested in the auto train!
Well worth the money! Definitely a lot of fun! Take a friend with you if you can.
I really enjoyed that! Hope it is not 40 more years until we get together again.
Ditto! I'll be an old fart then! 😂😂😂
Like 24. Just a bit outside lol
Love it 👍👍
Thank you so much!
Nice trip, wanted to always try the auto train to Florida. The parts around Richmond look familiar. :) Hope you had a great reunion!
