Never fails. I always feel revived after hearing Francis talk. I feel more passionate about persuing God and a longing to become closer to Him. Thank you Jesus for all you have done and for constantly reminding us why we need You.
I love this guy his love for God is genuine and he preaches the truth not twisted scripture to make you feel nice and warm inside like God is a big ole teddy bear
I don't fully understand what your trying to say but he teaches the Bible front to back and spends millions in Africa rather than himself. He teaches on Grace all the time but slaps you with the truth. Jesus was 100% truth and 100%Grace all the time. Francis has his flaws as do you but his ministry is the closest to Jesus I could find. You can listen to all the 10% truth 90% Grace sermons any where but it wont get you through the gates with out acts of LOVE.
Shawn Peterson he doesn't teach the gospel, he teaches that you're saved by "giving your best to God" thats not the gospel dude thats just the bottom line, he teaches salvation by donating money and downsizing your house, car etc....its not the gospel and that fact you actually think he "teaches the bible front to back" is comical, he doesn't teach the gospel and the entire bible is about christ and him redeeming man, the bible isn't a book about "giving everything you have to God"...it teaches the opposite, your best isn't good enough, thats what it teaches, it teaches you're not good thats what it teaches, it teaches that you're a maggot on a dungheap thats what it teaches, it teaches that man has no righteousnes of his own and can't ever live good enough or do enough to please God, thats what it really teaches.
I value your views and opinions but remember Jesus's encounter with the rich young ruler and the response. I know he only said to sell everything because the young ruler placed his earthly possessions above God but in the same manner so does 90% of all Americans(myself included). I can't prove he teaches the bible front to back but in allot of his seminars he claims they do year round. Ultimately he is a servant of God just like his polar opposite Joel Osteen or Andy Stanly and it's really not my place to discredit either one. As long as people are getting introduce to the teachings of the Gospel that's all that matters. again thanks for your views they will motivate me to read my bible more today. Love you brother.
Shawn Peterson you're not seeing the spiritual truth, the rich young ruler was relying on his works, thats why he was rich....rich = self sufficient .......poor = dependant on christ......you're taking the words too literal, its figurative language, the bible uses physical examples to teach spiritual truth, and the problem with the rich young ruler wasn't material things he had....the "sell everything" means to give up any and all ideas of trying to save yourself by your works or lawkeeping.....when jesus sais its impossible for a rich man to enter heaven, he wasn't saying if your bank account is too big you can't be saved, abraham had a lot of material wealth so did king david etc etc....rich simply means self sufficient...the pharisees were called the rich and they did have material wealth, but their real problem was not trusting God for salvation but trusting in their lawkeeping, you can not have any money at all and be "rich" Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I AM RICH, and increased with goods, and HAVE NEED OF NOTHING; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: those verses have nothing to do with money, the word rich is used in many ways, you can be rich in spirit, God is rich in mercy, you can be rich with having a lot of friends or good health, rich isn't a word only relegated to finacial status and the bible uses words all the time in symbolic and figurative ways....believers are not really sheep, jesus isn't really a lamb, the devil isn't really a dragon, the word food just means nourishment so feeding the poor has nothing to do with giving someone a sandwich, jesus say's we have to "eat his flesh and drink his blood", well a wafer isn't his flesh and wine or grape juice isn't blood....its figurative language and when God opens your eyes you'll understand all this, until then you're just trying to understand the bible in a carnal way, if you are really a believer and keep in the word of God you'll eventually start seeing some of this.
Amen...makes me have a second look back at myself...seeing how such an awesone God humbled himself down to such a low level like me so i can have eternal life. ☺
That was an awesome msg, to God be the glory. Our bible study on last Tuesday was the exact msg from the exact book and verses. Man great confirmation for me!!!
Wow. This just spoke to me. Minute 18:50. I've been debating on stepping back from the girls ministry because I'm getting married this year and wanted to adjust to married life and being a wife. God's word could not be clearer. I will serve him - "...But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
Francis inspired me to read the Bible more, ever since I listened to him on New Years Day, it's my NY Resolution to read through the Bible in one year, but I end up meditating on the WORD in depth and writing journals again on reflection after what I read in the Bible; especially when the Holy Spirit shows me the precise answer to my prayer, then I know I am having a conversation with God. So, Francis does not take away my time only direct me to read the Word more on my own to know he was not making it up or any other teachers:)
I admit that Francis "Stirs" me. I think there's a big difference between being stirred and being changed. When I read, I see the same truth finding rest deep in my spirit, but I don't read with the same excitement and passion that Francis provides dynamic commentary. I imagine that the 1st century church services were a little more exciting when a letter from Paul or any other Apostle was read. I love reading the passionate insights of Tozer, Wiersbe, Packer and MacArthur not because they make the Bible better, but because they help me go deeper in it. This is the same thing Paul did, his words weren't canonized as they came out of his mouth. He (like these others) are men of God who help people go deeper into an understanding of Him. God gives many gifts to The Church to edify its members. It's the gift of God.
Very true what he says about false teaching. For a while I read the bible in this mindset consistently like I'm not good enough for God- a very unemotional passion for Christ cause I got so hung up on theology alone, without realizing that my Father loves me. When I really believing that Jesus loves me, I really felt like I intimately knew who He was for the first time, and I realized that all His words as well as even the Old Testament testified to the unfailing love of God. I read the word radically different now. Pursue that intimacy with God that David had at all costs! Starts by reading His word
No honestly are you people listening to him? This guy is for real, you need really really need to read the word of God sincerely, tbh Francis is the first pastor who has every talked sense to me its been 6years as a born again no one has ever spoke sense to me till hear his ceremony in 2014 title was How to hear God that day I was changed and now theres my pastor pastor Isaac who teachers same doctrine his the second person whos speaks sense... I can't never understand why people will never take time to read this book... That's the only way you can get to know God if you put away everything and do his will God will never disappoint you that's guaranteed...
👍 I wouldn't add too much, just that if you look at the world with a clear mind, you can find truth and comfort in everything, almost everything. I say this because I was baptized when I was unconscious, but I am not a churchgoing believer. However, my daughter, the youngest of my 3 children (14 years old), recently had her confirmation... of course we were there at the event (family), even my mother came (She is not a believer either, she was also baptized as a child) and we gave our support ! The fact that there is/was/will be "God" is not contrary to an engineering, rational way of seeing, I take care of this in myself and I don't exclude my children from church attendance (as can be seen above). Bottom line: I don't need someone to preach to me about this, but I'll listen. (Because I'm interested, but for another reason..) I know the Bible, and also how (by whom, based on whose writings, how many people packed it together over generations and what was left out of it) the "Work" was put together. I don't even own a copy of it (which was always in my grandmother's kitchen when I was a child in the village) and I don't need it to BELIEVE. GOODNESS should be in everyone, in himself. This is just my own opinion and I have no intention of offending anyone. Anyway, that was interesting... Blessings, peace, greetings, István (from Hungary) ❤
Ezekiel Chapter 18 30Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. 31Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? 32For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. 1 Corinthians Chapter 15 1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
thats what i was thinking as i was listening to francis speak. why would i listen to him more than what Gods word says? why does he sometimes inspire me more than Gods word? i get it i get it, but i'm not happy about it.
***** i believe because God's words are difficult to us, and i mean by 'US' our generation, Francis is teaching the same words that exist in the bible but in a 'modern' way so we can understand it deeply. He is using our terms and giving us examples that we can live and experience everyday, because many of us don't know how to apply the word of God in our lives. i think god is speaking through him.beside it is always better to hear a story than to read it, the impact on our brains and memory will be much stronger.
real black Israelite TenCommandments I saw your comment below, and I think what happens when people listen to bible studies like this is that they (WE... Its the tragedy of the modern-day American Christian church, but we constantly deny it.
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. Great word. Straight Bible. Challenging word.

Thinking about yourself too much is bad news. It leads to selfishness.
