I did come here for the car, and not for the person doing her job. However I don't agree on the review. The car looks great indeed, but it's not really new if you ask me. It's brought to Europe to replace the Legacy but it sit's on a wrx platform, with a wrx nose and the ass of a Legacy. I think Subaru has really upped their game on the interior. When I compare this to my XV or my dad's outback (gen4), the improvements are stunning, agreed it is not to German standards, but then it is not made to do that. I do like the seats of the gen4 legacy/outback more. The dash is very clear and easy to use, the trip computer is not horrible/fidly, it's very clear to read/use. I agree on scratchy plastics lower down. Me personally, I'am a fan of Subaru's CVT box, for dailly use. I was affraid it wouldn't be as good as the diesel combination in my dad's outback, but the petrol engine is just fine. The engine noise is well dampened, however it doesn't feel as punchy as you would expect from 170HP and 0-60 in 8.9s. I like the suspension setup a lot. Our cars really 'bounce around' on the road. The Levorg is sporty howerver soaks up bumps or holes a lot better than the XV or outback. I don't really like the steering feel, sometimes it's like you're stirring some pudding or so. At low speeds the steeringwheel doesn't come back straight by itself, annoying while driving around the city or some thight roads. To finish my thought on the review and the Levorg, I think it is very well priced. Try to find another fully equipped (German) estate with 170HP petrol automatic AWD, and you'll be amazed about the Levorgs pricing.
i find the design is perfect and the interior is gorgeous! this video is all about hating on this car! well theres also a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine producing 265bhp but maybe not in the UK.
I guess she forgot to say, that if you want all these options from VW or audi your paying ALLOT more lol. 4WD and automatic already rising price allot. Full LED lights, etc...
When the video started i blamed the weather because rebecca was dressed accordingly for cold temp but then 0:31 came and the sun started to shine down on me.True story
I don't understand. Which comparably equipped VW/Audi/Volvo/BMW can you buy for 28000 pounds? Sorry, but there are no such cars. You would pay 10000 extra at least for cars with those badges, this trim level and, most important, 4WD. And as for sniffing at the fuel economy. Almost no car reaches its claimed figures and the marks listed earlier are some of the very worst offenders. But regardless, a new car over the distances you drive it is not a meaningful test of achievable fuel economy in any way shape or form.
I don't get why this isn't more popular, when I bought mine. The 320dx and A4 Q, no camera, 5000$/€ more expensive, the tax more then 2x higher, smaller screen, no LED beam etc. If u add up all this and have like 6000$/€ in the wallet after a few years. U can do something fun with that :)
I'm a Subaru fan but not sure if I could love this car. Don't like CVTs and the 1.6T is not powerful enough. It's a shame they don't do the STi version or a diesel in the UK. (I have a Legacy diesel and love it). As to pricing, I am not sure she is comparing apples with apples ... How much would an automatic, AWD BMW cost? Just looked at the BWM website and the 3 series Touring is "from" £28,100 with the 320iSE xDrive auto being over £33k. With Audi, the nearest equivalent is the A4 Avant and Quattro is only available on the 2.0TFSI at over £40k. The cheapest A4 Avant is the 1.4TFSI SE at £29k with 150BHP, FWD and cloth seats!
I feel sorry for the UK market - only getting the 1.6litre engine. Most other regions get the 2.0 petrol turbo. Strange review from the presenter, completely negative review when others have said many good things about it.
Rebecca rather misses the point here, as if like me, you are a dog owner and market trader, an estate with a flat load bay and no boot lip is a rarity in nice estates. And then you drive more sedately so the load doesn't shift or the dogs get skittles about. For a sportsman with shotguns this car is fine. And you can keep your stinky diesels that choke cyclists and kids in towns. Very negative review.
It's not a bad car. For someone who is not a car enthusiast and the "value-for-money" doesn't concern him. First, in Japan you can buy a 2 litre, 300bhp Levorg. Second, the UK-spec Levorg in continental Europe can be bought for £19k
They didn't want to sell it in europe from the start so why on earth should they plan for a diesel and other gearboxes? We are lucky to get the car in europe at all.
hahaha rekt. in aus we got the 2.0l turbo in aus. it's legit the wrx front cut put on a legacy rear cut. 201kw is what we get unlike that shite 1.6 that gets nothing. my 2000 model wrx has more power than this car from factory.
Wait so at the beginning she said it had a sporty edge? It's not even quick at all or sporty? Subaru why u do dis?! Put a manual and the WRX STI engine in it and it will sell so well.
I really cannot understand why vehicle manufacturers still produce the CVT gearbox, maybe OK in a very low powered motorcycle, moped, scooter but not in a car. Awful.
+AndrewJP1962 they appreciate them in the US, middle east, east asia. i guess they're used to them and most drivers don't understand the difference anyway. in europe the dsg is the only automatic that managed to get in because it feels like a manual you still have the gears and the revs.
@@Maurazio You are wrong. Most people around the world don't appreciate CVTs and their whinning sound. But what their appreciate is the reliability that come with them while in Europe everything that isn't a DSG is drawned in the mud. No matter the ratteling noise, clutches failures (and DSG have two of them...) and hazardeous/dangerous behavior at junction...
Eh? Didn't you even get my comment? It is a shame that trolls like you roam around mindlessly. What I meant there is that the JDM market Levorg has two trims while the overseas markets only have one. Oh wait, why bother feeding the troll with facts.
It's really quite disheartening to see this once proud giant slayer reduced to the realm of an 'also ran' warm hatch. I understood Subaru's need to move away from being known purely by one car; the inconic Impreza WRX, but in doing so they also lost that one unique selling point which was a crazy competent high performance car for everyday money. Now Mercedes, BMW, AUDI and just abpout everyone else has caught up and surpassed them. Very sad.
Hey subaru, why did you gave the levorg a same design as the front end of a wrx? You should gave it a different design! It makes the wrx a wrx, gives character to a car. Your engineers and designers are too damn lazy!
+Monkeybox Gaming Subaru was never planning to sell it in Europe from the start. Hell, Subaru's largest market is the USDM and even we're not getting the Levorg at all. If anything the interesting Levorg is only sold in Japan (FA20DIT), but still comes with a CVT; pretty disappointing. The fact that this thing is even on sale in Europe is a stroke of luck and an afterthought if anything
Subaru are really annoying me. I really like the exterior styling of their cars (whoelse does bonnet scoops on smaller cars except Subaru and Mini?) (Minis are girly, so I personally only count Subaru) and the reliability of Subarus are second to none, but everything else about them is just really shit... I mean, a CVT? Really? They're horrible gearboxes, and the MPG rating + horrible interior design is the exact reason people aren't buying the Impreza over here, it's dreadful, so why bring it over to the Levorg? I have yet to see a current-gen Impreza on the road so I doubt I'll be seeing any of these either. Such a nice looking car, but it's let down by stupid little things. If they change the gearbox to a regular auto or a manual, and give us a range of what I'd call more balanced engines (power AND good MPG like the Euro companies and some of their Japanese rivals), I would seriously consider buying one. And I could probably overlook the hard plastics on the interior if it were a cheaper car, 27 grand ain't gonna cut it.
I am "a bullshit" because *you are biased with Subaru*? Wow. Just... wow. That backfired on you, bro. I think that's the first time anyone has ever tried to start an argument with me _and immediately lost_ in the same sentence. The reason I am "a bullshit" is because you're biased with them.... haha.... that's not a good thing... This requires no further action from me man, you've admitted you're a bigot... seeya
uuuu bmw audi won't lose sleep because of the interior finish of the levorg... no problem, girls, go out and buy a bmw, you'll be left with the great leather interior when the rustbucket breaks down.
+Crana They only released itfor europe, because european sellers wanted it. What do you expect? That they develop other options for a region they didn't even aim for?
Two seconds in and had to stop. This is obviously more about her own personal opinion. This channel and Carwow, both biased towards certain brands. Wonder why that is ? Yeah, I can guess how the system works. I dont need to explain.

came here for rebecca, never disappoint viewers
Oh dear. Typical on here these days sadly.
0:31 my favorite review
00:31 the boot has soo much capacity ;p
+tEtO yAgHi Room for two?
Hahaha yup
"You get a big boot!"
Nice boot at 31. That's why I love estates.

When you start the car, you press the button and release. Do not hold you finger down on the button.
She's a woman, what do you expect ?
Can not believe she compares this car with German cars at much higher prices.
It comes in a 2.0l as well. That however, was nt sold in most markets.
1:23 When she scratched the steering column, my leg started jumping

A flat 6 diesel option might be fun, and a few more states of tune for the 2 liter diesel

Love at first sight
"leVorg" sounds like an alien robot army from Star Trek
i dont understand why subaru cant release the 2.0 DIT engined levorg
Why Subaru? Give it the looks then cripple it with a CVT?
£28,000 for a 1.6 with a CVT! They're having a joke.
+Calvin Chann agreed. very disappointing, especially knowing they come with more choices in other markets. does subaru want the levorg to fail? =(
+Calvin Chann the symmetrical AWD system is becoming too expensive, or rather the haldex electronic competition has become too good and way cheaper.
+Calvin Chann True, this needs a 6 speed manual and a boxer engine!!
+Firemarioflower it's a boxer...
It's not a bad car. For someone who is not a car enthusiast and the "value-for-money" doesn't concern him.
First, in Japan you can buy a 2 litre, 300bhp Levorg.
Second, the UK-spec Levorg in continental Europe can be bought for £19k
Oh shit. The'yre replacing the Legacy estate?
First comment. Great Rebecca reviews as always
I love the boot :-)
Hi Rebecca I love your reviews here from Kenya
Pia mimi niko huku
How does this differ from the Subaru Exiga?
what about the turbo thing? is there any turbo-lags or something?
Never heard about this car. Actually I don´t even care. If Rebecca is reviewing it I watch.
Needs a manual gearbox. Is it a boxer engine?
Buy a WRX/STI.
Only one engine and gearbox choice??? What a flop, not even a diesel option? It does sound nice I guess
They didn't want to sell it in europe from the start so why on earth should they plan for a diesel and other gearboxes? We are lucky to get the car in europe at all.
+Sirion "We are lucky to get the car in europe at all" No we're not. it's shite
+Del Johnson Car was NEVER intended for europe, Japan was its' only aim when being developed... so yeah no shitty diesels needed.
+Crana This was supposed to be Japan only, so no nox emitting diesels were put in it...
hahaha rekt. in aus we got the 2.0l turbo in aus. it's legit the wrx front cut put on a legacy rear cut. 201kw is what we get unlike that shite 1.6 that gets nothing. my 2000 model wrx has more power than this car from factory.
Rebecca is on fleek
Where is banana??
+ttt7574 What a lucky banana!
+ttt7574 Yes))))
very stylish.I even get to appreciate the car. job done.
Next time show us the rear of the car???
I'd buy one.
0:30 hmmmm nice view 👌👌
Comparing this to Audi?
For sure a nicer experience. But if u want the same trim and equipment. U have to add 10000$/€..
Wait so at the beginning she said it had a sporty edge? It's not even quick at all or sporty? Subaru why u do dis?! Put a manual and the WRX STI engine in it and it will sell so well.
You have to start reducing the times you say "However" Miss Rebecca
However, nice review
I'm concerned this car is under powered would a 2 litre not be better.
Thanks to the magic of turbocharging, AWD and boxer units, it's actually still faster than rivals when even in the 1.6.
pretty as always
I really cannot understand why vehicle manufacturers still produce the CVT gearbox, maybe OK in a very low powered motorcycle, moped, scooter but not in a car. Awful.

There should be a version with WRX/STI specs.
Wait are you Rebecca from Carbuyer
I just love the way she gets out of the car. :o
Err... yes Subaru... umm I ride a motorcycle.
Ah well all it needs perhaps is a "sponsored review" from some of the other UK channels, one is currently recommending a Diesel Skoda Superb lol
I LIKE CAPITAL LETTERS THAT MEANS ONE IS ANGRY lol
Warning : Quality problems at Mistubishi.
if i had £9900000 prize money i would get that subaru levorg and honda NSX. both in green. these car are the best!!!
I'm disappointed that Subaru uses a CVT
Too bad for only one trim choice. JDM versions get two, with the top range having the 2 liter turbo from the WRX. Shame on the CVT too.
Eh? Didn't you even get my comment? It is a shame that trolls like you roam around mindlessly.
What I meant there is that the JDM market Levorg has two trims while the overseas markets only have one.
Oh wait, why bother feeding the troll with facts.
WRX is not a hot hatch anymore its a sports compact sedan
+Constantine Joseph That's a fucking station wagon dude.
Levorg is nice car in japan.
Every European may try it at once.
she didnot like this car. could tell from the beginning of the video
But, there's a 2.0 GT option...
hey !! maker does anybody recognize bigger than this woro ? lrar
Why do I read Levorg with French accent?
Levorg sounds something like larva. Great review, anyway! Nice make-up, too;)
That looks exactly like what the 5-door WRX should be.
I was lost in her eyes... ☺️😍❤️
よかビデオでした👍
+rebeccajackson I can tell you just love this car (tongue in cheek).
0:31 thank me later dudes
she said WRX STI hot hatch? STI hasn't been a hatch since 2014 lol
Rebecca i love 😍😘👍
Put a perpendicular stripe in the front grill and we have a Volvo.
Rebecca looks adorable

Is it me or Rebecca is a little bit more serious than in her CarBuyer times
What's with the horrible name? Levorg? What were they thinking.
+Harrison Ganner LEgacy, reVOlution, touRinG
+Maurazio Far fetched.
Richard Joash Tan A bullshit. Hhaha alright. If you're a biased Subaru fan shouldn't it be blue with gold wheels ;)
Harrison Ganner You don't know what Subaru is about. The Impreza WRX Sti isn't the only thing Subaru is famous for. Learn you cars before trolling.
Firemarioflower Was only making a joke.. chill out haha
If I made Rebecca my wife, my dad would buy me any car I want, as a wedding gift..
Rebecca; you look like a lightweight high performance unit.
I'd choose Subaru over BMW or Audi any day without hesitation. German cars (Mercedes excluded) are not as reliable as they used to be, especially BMW.
Hey subaru, why did you gave the levorg a same design as the front end
of a wrx? You should gave it a different design! It makes the wrx a wrx,
gives character to a car. Your engineers and designers are too damn

Its from 90's as is it's look...
the Levorg? I wish Subaru would use world wide names....:)
Like honda that almost released the Pussy in Scandinavia? Jazz was originally called fitta. Fitta means pussy in Sweden and Norway.
A subaru review selling German Audi, BMW and VW, how clever sell 4 in one vid
So they only offer one choice of gearbox... and it's a fucking CVT?

Does anyone on here click on these videos to see the cars?... lol :)
You didnt seem to enjoy doing this review very much
+Mike Tran cos it's just crap and perplexing as to what Subaru were thinking releasing it in 1 configuration only
+Crana They only released itfor europe, because european sellers wanted it. What do you expect? That they develop other options for a region they didn't even aim for?
That Subaru looks ugly but Rebecca is always shining like a ray of light.

She needs her own channel, like Chris Harris... I can gurantee she'd get a high number of subscribers in no time, as her channel would just grow and grow.

good make up :)
BRING IT TO AMERICA SUBARU PLEASE
The Levorg comes in 2.0L too. I just cringe at the CVT gearbox :(
