What a beautiful thing to have from your Grandmother! I think It's a good thing you changed it, you didn't mess up at all, because look at it now, that's the best looking Mustang I've ever seen! It's hilarious you put a DiMarzio super distortion in it, every guitar in the 80s must have had a super distortion in it, eeeeveryone did that - even Tomo Fujita! No guitar escaped the DiMarzio super distortion.
That's a beautiful refin that Kanji did, amazing. I have a 80's MIJ Strat and we have a love-hate relationship. I was a kid back when I bought the neck and body, and all the other parts, and put those together as a "partscaster". A few people on a guitar forum helped me choose and source the body and the neck. I remember the seller of the body would not post it to me because I was not in the USA. One guy on the forum heard about it, bought the body instead. He got the Kahler bridge from the body, and sent me the rest! So the sller got the money, my forum friend got a Kahler bridge, I got an MIJ Alder body, everybody wins! My cat would sit with me when I messed about, trying to "play". Great times.
Wow! Amazing! So pretty! I love that it has contoured body. Just like my MIJ Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang. Not every Mustang have contoured body. At least not nowadays
My first guitar was a mid 60s Mustang that my grandmother bought for me in 1969 from a pawn shop. Looked much like that one but well beaten by the previous owners. And I immediately started modifying it. Still have Mustangs from both fender and squire. All modified.
@@TomoFujitaMusic Not to carry on, I just want to thank you for your lessons. One of my very favorite bands in the 80's were/are from Japan. I never enjoyd the sound of speed metal until I listen to X-Japan. To watch Pata & Hide shred in perfect harmony was beyond words. Just thought I'd share that. Again, thank you.
Hi Tomo, that refinished Mustang is gorgeous. I actually just found a 78 in a second hand store in Osaka and it needs some work. I may have it refretted among other things, did you do that and if so, did you do a medium jumbo? Those frets look larger than mine. Thanks as always for all the content I improve with.

Hi Tomo, love the mustang! This is off topic, but do you have a Rickenbacker guitar by any chance? If you do, It would be great to hear you talk about and play one. I have a Rickenbacker 325 copy myself, and it's almost impossible to play due to the scale length. Love your videos by the way!
Crazy seeing a mustang with a maple fretboard that must be quite rare to find those.
I think so!

My first electric guitar was a 1965 Fender Mustang with a tortoise shell pick-guard and a rosewood fingerboard. I wish I still had it.
Awesome! I have that one too.

Wonderful guitar. It's funny, but in the past I always confused the Mustang with the Jazzmaster.
Thank you!

Takes almost 5 minutes to getting out from the bubblewrap!😂😂😂
Those packaging is truely torn-proof....
Yes! Thanks for watching!
Just use scissors to cut away bubble wrap, easy
True!
Let us know if it stays in tune. Those bridges are… interesting
It does! A great setup!
I want one with a matching headstock
Awesome idea!
What the string gauge do you use in this mustang.....very nice sound
Thank you! I think 10-46
New sub! Liked 👍✌️
Thanks for the sub!
how many guitars do you own? don't they get jealous of each other?
I need to do my gear diet soon!
@@TomoFujitaMusic I bet you don’t know how many guitars you have!!🤣🎸🎸🎸
@@friedrudibega6384 Good guess.
do you still have that duo sonic from the fretted americana video?
That's not me! Different TOMO!
Where do you order your guitars from, Tomo?
That Cream colored one from Kansas City Vintage Guitars. I bought a few vintage guitars from Rumble Seat Music. Off Course from Norm's Rare Guitars.
Thanks!
