The true mark of an absolute professional and a theatre performer through and through. He gave a performance as good as if it was the plan for him to hold that mic all along.
His old theatre teachers must be so proud.

Why am I only finding Titus now? Thursday 10:12pm [GMT]
Truly magnificent voice and the naughty lady too.
There are not enough superlatives to describe just how good this is.

I had the exact same problem a few days ago. My school winter concert. I started the show singing and the set mic broke so we didnt start and then my music teacher ran and gave me a handheld one which wasnt planned and i had to do it holding the mic which scared me for life because my hands were sweaty lol😂

Nice recovery. The tech crew should get a dressing down. A great performance rescued it.

Why? Tech staff aren't psychic, they can't predict when an electronic piece of equipment isn't going to co-operate. They found a solution within literally a few seconds and the performance was outstanding. If anything, they showed how adept and quick-thinking tech crew are.

@@mg3929 IDK. This one sounds like someone forgot to change the batteries on the mic pack. *Always* put fresh batteries in the mics before a performance.

@@chrisa1 you really think at the Tony Awards that someone 'forgot' to change the batteries? Yeah absolutely not.

I wish they would've let her finish that RUN! I KNOW she would've torn it up!

I usually don't care for significant changes to musical numbers, in large part because I think it shows a lack of trust in the original. But here, and the Lilias White's Borotherhood of Man changes, the talent of the performer adapting the original material shows that sometimes general ideas can be well changed. An exciting performance by Mr. Burgess (and Ms White in the number referenced).
