    Love the introduction on how the name Carnyx came about. 1 point to clarify, the outer shell of the microphone seems to be metal/alu, except for the top and bottom part. Could you check again?

    Hey Kleo, I have the mic the same distance as in the video (arm's length). My OBS recording levels look good - however with recorded videos my voice seems quiet. Armoury Crate Recording level (gain) is 85. Any ideas how I can fix this?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  2 месяца назад

      Hi v0rtex1, welcome to my channel. In OBS where the mic is at, go to advanced audio properties, besides the word Active in red, push up the dB, you have to test the recording when you push the dB up. reason for this is because, I no longer have this mic. it's returned to Asus SG, so you have to test it.

    Hello!
    Vídeo suggestion: BCF adaptor for (thermalright) processor better temperature, if it really helps to decrease temperature

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Douglas Borges, welcome to my channel. Yes it does better in temp. No matter which contact frame brand you use, in general it helps on thermal on intel processor. By the way I will appreciate if you can comment or ask questions to the appropriate content ruclips.net/video/mpweV1CJjIs/видео.html . As this microphone content has nothing got to do with BCF adaptor. Thank you.

      Hi Mirarid, welcome to my channel. I do agree the price of this will be high but if you are a streamer with games, this investment to me is a great value added asset. It not only use for gaming but for conferencing too. Anyway it's up to indivdual to judge it's value. For me it's the price of getting a microphone, audio interface, XLR cables and such. Once again, thank you for your feedback 👍

    Have you encountered any clipping during any of your testing? And why do you say that an XLR mic is better than a USB mic?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  5 месяцев назад

      Hi P, welcome to my channel, I do not encounter any clipping. For me, in order not to clip. You have to adjust the clip level which involves in distant of the mic and depending on your vocal pitch. If your vocal is mellow you can set the clip peak to 80 or even 90. If you have sharper tone. Its best to lower your clip peak. If you understand how AGC (Auto Gain Controller) works then you will know how to fine tune a mic.
      Now as for XLR, it’s pure analogue and going though and audio interface and if your audio interface daw able to plug in AGC .vst plugins. Your vocal will sound must better without using a physical cloud lifter. Hope you understand what I mean. By the way thanks for asking and to have visited my channel.

      @@KleoYan Hi please clarify why a USB mic is BETTER than XLR because in your responds you did not mention the advantage in terms of sound on a USB mic over a XLR mic. The reason why i ask for this is because in your video you said that you have compared your dynamic mic (Shure PGA48) through your audio interface which i assume is through an XLR connection and not a USB connection and it sounds clearer as compared to your Asus Carnyx. From what i have heard, your dynamic mic has much more bass as compared to the Asus Carnyx, which captures more of higher frequency and i dont hear alot of bass which in terms of a male voice which results in the sound coming out from your dynamic mic being more balanced. And i do agree that a USB mic is more beginner friendly and easier to setup, but in terms of sound quality of a XLR mic the signal result in clearer and more accurate audio reproduction. I am currently considering a XLR mic but was confused when you prefered the USB mic rather than a Dynamic XLR mic as almost all the review i have watched prefered to get a XLR mic over any USB mic in the price range of 200+. Would love you hear your thoughts on that and to clear my doughts. Thank you so much!
      And to add on, your are speaking reletively soft in the video so i would suggest you speak louder beacuse most of the time people wont be speaking so soft into a mic which i think is why the Carnyx is not clipping. I watched a few reviews on the mic that suggested that the mic is clipping when speaking through the mic at a normal to loud volume with the gain set all the way down, this should not happen when the gain is set to minimum and the mic still picking up your voice.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  5 месяцев назад

      @@wd2010 wow. it's kind of hard to read your sentences without punctuation. ok, In general an XLR Mic + Audio interface will out beat a USB plug and play microphones, interms of pick up and sounding but this carynx does not sound that bad and best part is, it does pickup pretty well as compared to other USB mic. as for clipping. you have said it yourself, you can set the gain, which I have mentioned. it depends on the distance, your vocal (how loud how soft) then set your gain. if my vocal is soft to you.. turn up your volume.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Haz, welcome back. Honestly speaking, interms of budget friendly, the Fifine is much cheaper compared to this carnyx but as for a usb mic, the pick up is much better on the carnyx, unless you plug the fifine to an audio interface using XLR.
