WHY Did I Get BLACK FLAGGED in Karting?

- I got black flagged in rental karting, and you'll never guess why... For whatever reason, this kart was pretty understeery, so when the yellow flag came out, I made sure to keep as much front temperature in as possible by weaving. Shortly after, I was black flagged because weaving under yellows is not allowed because they've apparently had issues with people spinning... Now I can understand that, but I bet more accidents happen because of cold slippery tires than weaving, so do you think this rule is over the top?

@@BETA00009 why do you wanna argue so bad
I hate tracks like this. A lot of them will throttle your cart back if you're winning by too much. Last time this happened, two drivers hit me from the back going fast. After the shock passed I pitted early and got my money back. They tried to say it was "to make it fair for everyone else." I had to explain that making me slower than everyone else was the exact opposite of that.
That's why these should be time attack events (unless you all know each other).
It shouldnt be fair it should be skill let everyone go the same speed
If I’m not mistaken the K1 places have a rule that says to let faster racers through
Thats not racing thats everyone wins let's not offend snowflakes bs....
Well, fairness comes in three flavors. The players that are losing need the speed more, so that's one flavor of fair. You got the same speed as everyone else, and thus deserved to be ahead, which would fulfill the other two kinds.

As an ex- Rental karting track worker you see some crazy drivers, the most common cheater was 'weavers', Drivers who were slower than others weave back and fourth across the track to stop people overtaking them on tight corners. I get where they are coming from however you were clearly keeping the tyres warm in a yellow.
I had that at 3 sisters in Wigan! Out of the last corner onto the straight and took a lot more speed to catch up to the next kart which the driver then promptly looked back and very deliberately shunted right over in front of me so as to not lose their place
That's not racing, that's being a little b1tch! 😂
@@skylined5534 uhm... No. That is actually racing. You are never supposed to just make space for the one behind you 😂 that is not how racing works in any racingsport. Only exception is if your vehicle is tremendously slower and you are just blocking the whole field.
@@nicoschroeder5379 That's not the whole story. Go and inform yourself about rules and regulations in motorsports.
This isn't the reason though. Op is weaving too much and that's just a greater chance of accidents and spinning out so that's why he got the black.

I love that it's just a safety thing. You're not in trouble or anything for being unsafe, they just need to let you know and you're back on the course.
If anything its actually safer for him to heat up the tires given that the kart under steering so i dont get why the location doesn't allow it under a green flag because a couple of idiots dont know how to swerve to heat tires properly. You can even tell that the worker doesnt agree with the company policy lol
@@gatordragon6140 that logic only works if everyone is good at carting and can expect people to just randomly swerve. If everyone has understeer then you just correct for it as if it wasn’t there
I got black flagged at liverpool for that it take the piss
@@gatordragon6140 The problem is that if you say it's okay to swerve to warm tires, there's going to be someone else swerving to block other cars plus you'll get someone who is too aggressive with it and gets sideways. If they are going to have the rule, they kind of have to enforce it across the board. Also, I don't think the tire warming does that much in indoor karts. You'll get far more heat just letting the kart slide around the first few laps.
This man is a good one, calmly explained what the issue was and why, then left you to finish your sessuon in peace.

@@AutoRautodude what is wrong with you? You've commented on every post talking about how workers shouldn't have opinions. You've obviously never worked in the real world. Get a life.
@@AutoRauto He has to enforce them, yes. He doesn't have to agree with them. Not a single job on earth can force an opinion on someone.
He's just looking out for the other drivers. I'm happy to see both of you be cool about it
Wouldn't be much point in getting pissy about it. It would net get him back on the track any faster. It would have been hard to not argue back that warm tires won't spin out as easily and that those scissor weaves were making the vehicle easier to handle and thus safer. Also 10 to 1 says those spin outs where mostly the result of something being spilled on the track. That track looks and sounds slick as all hell to start with. Shiny surfaces are never a sign of good grip. When you are that slick even the residue of a soda spilled a couple of days ago can change your grip by quite a lot. For those who don’t know, a black flag waved means all return to the pits of the track. If the black flag is directly pointed at you, you return to the pits. It usually means a really bad crash took place or if pointed at you you were racing too rough.
Thank you soo much.. im confused as hell what happen here..
He was waving it, so everyone should have pulled in, yet he was the only one that did.

Actually, a black flag means a person is disqualified from the session and has to pull into the pits. A red flag on the other hand means everyone has to peel into the pits as the session is stopped for a big crash where further racing can’t be resumed because og debris, people on track etc.
