Feeling too happy to know that you are upgrading to a new camper. This is the beauty of social media, that a feeling of attachment is instilled among unknown like-minded people.
I believe this vehicle's engine is OM616 which is derived from Daimler Benz. If maintained properly it can easily go upto several lakh kilometres. This engine was used extensively on Mercedes Benz W124 models and they are still being used as taxis in Africa. This is an old school designed engine which will not let you down.

Before writing anything ,think what if you were the owner ! He has just put the real info of whatever modification suitable for him .
It may not suit your idea then you can add or delete facilities. He said that with LMV driving license you can drive but he never said it is LMV, but has campervan registration. Every state may have different RTO rules , that is for registration in that state and once any non KL registered van enter KL .KL or any RTO can not say it is not campervan and the other states RTO has no power to seize for this clause. He is not forcing anybody to buy and everybody is free to check what happens to diesel vans of 2008 model in future and still want to risk and ENJOY , take it. In auction anybody can quote any rate and take at any rate ; but saying it does not even worth this figure is NEGATIVE GENTLEMAN way ! Let me tell you as the cost of apartments is getting beyond reach of common man, in future campervan is going to be MOBILE HOME initially and STATIONARY HOME at the end of van registration for the current younger generation in days to come ! THERE ARE ALWAYS TWO SIDES FOR A COIN . I request some commentators to just try making one small alteration inside a vehicle ; only then you know the hardship .I still encourage them to be successful campervan owners looking at this van ! To guide anybody , to appeal or fight against RTO of all such damn rules LET US SUPPORT CAMPERVAN SOCIETY.

I think your mind is totally at toss, Dude is asking 8.7 lakhs for a vehicle which is no longer valid to run on indian roads along with that he is not explaining about the next taxation policies. Moreover, We all know nobody is forcing anyone to buy but at least they can help someone who is really in buying a camper van with proper valuable information. And if I talk to you about the stats of comment s 80 % people are not posting negative comments, they are posting reality. Keep a biased nature.

This motor home doesn’t have proper wash room, proper kitchen. When it rain u will be stuck inside with nothing expect tv, van life couples caravan is so simple and very user friendly, when someone can buy new and build with there thoughts. Why will someone buy dead vehicle for 8,70,000 rs. 😮

TATA 407 IS THE BEST FOR A CARAVAN. TEMPO TRAVELLER IS BEST FOR ROADS, BUT YOU ALLWAYS NEED HAND OPERATED WINCH, IF YOU HAVE TO GO OFFROAD, ALWAYS BE PREPARED TO PUSH OR TUG IT.

It is better that you should exchange this from where you buy the new one. Though the price they quote will be low but keep you free from tense.
Not bad for indian market but as for camper van it really needs a lot of modifications. The storage and furniture along with driver cabin access are all compromised.

For a quick conversion, this isn't too bad. There's some workmanship that could be better and I wish the roof liner and sides were given insulation to increase comfort and reduce noise. Still, the company seems to have this down to a fine art, with a modular setup and that's a great base to work from. Reusing factory trim parts is a very smart move too. They'll only improve from here and if you happen to have a family van that no longer hauls kids but you want to take on trips, this is an ideal place to go. Thanks

@@sunnydey405 Agree with you. Shoddy work at the back,water pipes could have been done in line and pipe to gas cooker also seems to be short. I had 1988 Mercedes Benz 270D, it had shower room with cold and hot water, portable toilet, . Both driver and passenger swivel seats. I lave abroad and come to India every years , Next time when I come to India I'm going to convert my Maruti Suzuki Varsa to campervan.

Very nice Sir...I'm from Uttarakhand and Im interested...but I think the new norms of the government allows the diesel vehicle to run for 15 years only...do you have any upgrade regarding the norms...whether there is some relaxation for camper van or private diesel registered vehicles???
As per the new rules, every private vehicle, older than 15 years, will have to apply for renewal every five years.. Matlab yeh van kabad nahi he..

Good move and Good signs of progress and Upgrade is a good sign and symbol of flourishing in life and is always needed when ur doing good and best of luck for the new vehicle that will come and make it more lovely in interiors and not too much big size beds anything compact which could be folded and used when needed but use space in the most best way u can, take some ideas from best foreign vanlife or truck life and I am sure u can get the best from it and use your own unique ideas 👍🏻

I suppose there is option of getting the fitness again after 15 years and If the vehicle is roadworthy it can be allowed to run after 15 years with prorata road tax paid again and of course 29 % hike in Insurance premium
@@hapsood i think most places the max life for diesel vehicles even after extension is 15 years (private for commercial i dont think there is any extension) this is in context to pollution norms and not vehicles fitness. so in this vehicles should be just near scrap policy as per its registration.
