The good old sky With a winds together Playing Like a swallow Across the many mountains I known Voice of the sound she sings in the second half of the track
I didn't realise she would play this last night, caught me by surprise and was so damn pleased. The last part of the first half left me with my mouth open it was so dense, powerful and relentless, amazing. And the 2nd half hehehe made me think how complex the relationship between player, music and listener can be. I didnt want to applaud I wanted to hug her and evan and say thank you :) mu:arts you guys did a great job, thank you.
Michiyo Yagi will be performing at Kings Place in London on Saturday 5 March 2011. Playing solo pieces - including the Nick Drake song River Man. Also the jazz saxophonist Evan Parker will join her for some improvisation. Should be fantastic!
Este instrumento faz-me navegar por mares que nunca deslumbrei. è um acto de magia único que estimula todos os meus sentidos, é algo muito raro esse feito. Parabéns Michiyo
I think this one is part bass, it sounds deep. If instrument seems to be large and have more than 16 strings you can consider that it's probably a Bass-koto. Michio Miyagi invented a 80 strings Koto (Hachijūgen) ! o_O It's just madness ! There has been only a single copy of this 80-strings koto and unfortunately no one plays it today... Just for the fun, did your ears ever listen about this song ? ruclips.net/video/HaZ0hwd_cCQ/видео.html (Nice voice ^_- Are you too composing music with computer ? Sorry, hope I'm not too much prying...)
Thank you. I'm planning to purchase my first koto and love the one in this video. Wow! 80 strings, I can't imagine. The song you shared is lovely. (Thank you, I'm planning to study electronic music classes and sound frequency healing. I'm also thinking about studying koto under the United States master Masayo Ishigure.)
Ahah ! Learning koto will make your fingers bleed :p Hope that Masayo won't be too severe with you :p Unfortunately in my country (France) it's hard to find a koto teacher. This is great that you are planning to study electronic music and sound frequency healing :) Thank you for your answers Kintsugi (I hate myself for not having thought of this awesome nickname before you ;p ), it was really nice to talk with you. I wish you the best for all your music studies !

It reminds me of kokia song.kokiaの楽曲を、思い出します。楽譜がほしいです。
Which type of Koto is this? And how many strings? ...This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard..
@Kintsugi : koto Nijūgen, 20 strings (in fact 21 strings...) Yes beautiful song.
Thank you - Do you know what the exact kind of koto is? Is it a normal 21 string? Or is it part bass?

It's a 21-string koto.
The beginning sounds like Tool. Lol.
