Yup that's what annoys me. Curvy is your bone structure, your body not your weight, if you are only "curvy" when overweight....... you are not curvy. I keep seeing everyone calling everyone an hourglass aswell 😭
A person can be curvy and obese because curvy is dependent on body shape. But that’s not an excuse to enable an unhealthy lifestyle that contributes to excessive weight gain. If you eat healthy and do some sort of physical activity but you’re still large, you might have a large frame and that’s fine. But you can’t use popular labels to justify being unhealthy.
There’s also VERY rare petite sizes in name brands!! And if I’m gonna be real, many of us petites are TOO SMALL for the petite section and are forced to look in the kids sections and buy jeans with sequin peace sings on the pockets! Petites exist and are underrepresented just as much! A size zero doesn’t always mean 5’4, and 120 pounds, some of us are 4’10 and 93 pounds like me!’
So true. I can’t even go to malls in the US anymore because I know they won’t carry my size and I’ll be left disappointed. I can only shop from distributors based overseas in places like Asia or Europe where the small sizes are true to size.
On the flip side of things..Tall women exist! Especially, tall curvy women. Now I am not a curvy godess or anything, but not all of us 6’ women are models. If the pants, by some miracle are long enough there is no way to put them on past my thights. And if the pants fit at waist/legs, they are about 2,3 (or more) inches short. Dresses are T-shirts. And don’t get me started on the sleeve length. Some of these things can be worked out, especially in warm weather..But in winter, I need my pants to cover my ankles and my shirts to reach my wrists.
I have the exact same problem. Things like that happen when you’re not the norm, that doesn’t mean your body isn’t normal, it just mean you have to look really really hard.
I’ve always been curvy from my heaviest weight to now 67lbs down and my waist size is 25 inch now and my hip to waist ratio is bomb y’all. Sorry I had to flex, my weightloss made me do it. I’m just happy that I can even fit size small clothes now. 😊🙊 man i worked out hard for this weight loss.

I watched Girls Trip last week and it was one of the worst movies I ever watched. Tiffany Hadish wasn’t funny at al, being loud and raunchy doesn’t equate funny/comedy.

When I did loose weight it was only for the purpose of trying to be healthier. I remember initially feeling so bad and then immediately thinking of all the beautiful women in my life who are larger sizes than me and realizing that they can't even shop here because it's apparently just not possible. Most women feel left TF out! I am a business woman and to hear Jeannie break it down logically as to why the fashion industry cannot YET understand how they can benefit from selling to the average or plus size woman is so refreshing to hear so clearly expressed. As a business your main concern should be customer satisfaction as well as product and demand. Clearly there is a demand and customers can benefit from brands creating size inclusive products. Clearly customer satisfaction and brand popularity would increase by being size inclusive! Duh!!! How Jeannie broke it down was impeccable. Thank you to all you lovely ladies on screen at "The Real" and to all the people BTS as well. Clearly every day you all strive to produce and express truth through your platform regardless of what is socially cool. It is just truth. I've been a loyal watcher for years and these are the perfect women for the job. Hailey Livingston Jeannie’s assessment almost appears to be based on an assumption that body sizes are equally distributed across income spectrums - i.e. women who need larger sizes have equal buying potential as thinner women. Since that is not the case, I’m not sure she can assume increasing the supply of plus-sized clothing will result in an equal proportional increase in total revenue. There may also be changes in style preferences based on differences in size, height and shape. While I can easily see companies using snob appeal and purposely not carrying certain sizes they know would sell as an effort to cater to more exclusive clientele, money is green, and I would think if the financials were as simple as Jeannie made it seem, other brands would jump on the $$$$ opportunity and flood supply in the market. Since that is not happening, at least according to what Jeannie is saying, I believe there may be other dynamics at work here.

Being a celebrity it’s hard, for me it’s also the skinny side in my work place we have a huge department store and we get staff allowance for clothes but I’m too small to fit in any and tbh I’m not what you would call ‘too’ skinny I’m just slim and I can’t find anything I’ve asked to order in the smaller sizes but all are too big for me beautiful clothes aswell

Great show clip! I want to add that big name brand companies don't want bigger people wearing their clothing. They are afraid of losing sales from the people that are more acceptable to look at. In which are advertising for the companies for other people in the range of size thr companies provide. It's not just the companies' fault. It's the consumers as well. It's sad, but times are changing for the better.

Correction Jeannie, They often charge $10-$20 more per item if you are over a size 26... even when they specialize in plus size.
Being a celebrity it’s hard, for me it’s also the skinny side in my work place we have a huge department store and we get staff allowance for clothes but I’m too small to fit in any and tbh I’m not what you would call ‘too’ skinny I’m just slim and I can’t find anything I’ve asked to order in the smaller sizes but all are too big for me beautiful clothes aswell

I understood where Loni was coming from. To me, she wasn't saying that it was cool that Girl's Trip didn't get nominated for a Golden Globe but they did received other nominations at other awards shows, like the NAACP awards & BET awards, who Loved the Movie and felt like it deserved to be nominated..... But to be clear I am not saying that there wasn't any shadiness behind the Golden Globe nominations, idk but EVEN IF THERE WAS my outlook on situations like these is "Go Where You are Celebrated and Not Tolerated"

People make awards shows like those actors are better than the other actors but everyone has their own unique way of acting. It's what makes them special. Dont fall under that I think she or he was better than the other person like no. Not everyone can get recognize for their talent. So for those who did or do, really count your blessings.
