Thank you so much, Dear Vikas sir, Immense hardwork and dedication to your trainees by you.
After watching first 35 videos my concepts are cleared. Detailed videos. Thank you for videos sir ❤ Going for all 130 videos to give RHCSA certification.
This is by far the best and the most in-depth explanation of Disk Management explained with such an ease. Thank God I found your channel. You deserve millions of viewers for your channel. You are the best trainer on Linux. God Bless You Sir!!!. And its not just this video, I am talking about the entire playlist.
This has been a very good warm up for disk management. If you can simulate some real time disk crash issue, recovering it, fixing bad blocks, etc..it would be super.
Nice one sirji At about 44:33 duration of this video one guy admin anil asked how to mount ntfs(new technology file system) and u answered about nfs(network file system) instead of ntfs. In pure fedora (not sure about rhel/centos whether ntfs-3g n fuse packages are available in repository or in installation DVD iso images or need googling to download these packages)ntfs-3g n fuse packages are already installed. We can mount ntfs drive in d following ways:- mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/winC-drive or ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/winC-drive
nicely explained. one question : If we give total HDD size as 20gb while installing redhat and reserve root partition / = 17GB ; boot = 1gb ; swap = 2gb then the confusion i am getting is /boot comes under / so it means / must be 18gb ,why is it 17 gb ?
Red Hat recommends to create a single partition that covers the whole disk to label it as an LVM physical volume. This way we can achieve Administrative convenience. It is easier to keep track of the hardware in a system if each real disk only appears once. This becomes particularly true if a disk fails. In addition, multiple physical volumes on a single disk may cause a kernel warning about unknown partition types at boot.
Yes, you're right. In live entertainment we should only create one partition on a single disk to create the physical volumes. But instead of copying this stuff from tldp.org you should have shared your own thoughts and experiences. Thanks

Hello sir..what about /etc/fstab entry , after mount LVM
For permanent mount we can make an entry in the fstab file.
Hello Sir I have a query..can you please respond..
Can we convert ext4 to xfs file system in oracle Linux 8 for restored mount point from 6 to 8 version...It's for /u01 ... without data loss , permissions should remain same etc..
Please help on this.
either you can do it manually or use fstransform tool. make sure you take the backup first.
Whenever i create partition on disk and reboot my machine it enters into emergency mode and i got stuck there and dont know how to fix the machine.
Check disk priority in bios and check fstab entry.
Should we have a free space in /dev/sda1 to create pv volumes ?
No, we need partitions only which can be converted into physical volumes
hello sir agar koi hdd kharb ho jay to kya hamara lvm par effect ho sakta hai
