Brilliant vid on a highly-niche topic thank you. You didn't mention WWII, I believe the Hungarians still had a few ships, which were in some small actions in 1944-45 when the Soviets reached the Danube (alongside some German Kriegsmarine vessels). The Soviet Navy, had the larger Dniepr Flotilla, which was used extensively on the Danube, including landing Soviet Marines in places such as Esztegom, Komarno, Bratislava and Vienna (all in March-April 1945). Subscribed!

Your presentation was most interesting and your command of English is excellent.
Unfortunately, your accent makes it extremely hard to follow.
Have you done an episode on the Austria-Hungarian K.u.K Navy Marines? This is a place and time that interests me.

hello! thank you for watching my video and for the feedback. yes i am aware of my strong accent as trying to work on to improve it but its easier said than done. For this reason i edit and upload the subtitles to RUclips so if anyone struggles to follow my muttery accent can look at it and "ah, so that's what he was saying" 😄
thank you for the recommendation, i am not working right now specifically on the K.uK Navy Marines, but on a video about the siege of Tsingsao where the Austro-Hungarian navy and the marines fought against the Imperial Japanese forces during World war 1 in China.

There was no such government as the Union states at least not in north America. Monitor was built by the United states of America for the USN jocularly known as the Union in contrast to the confederacy which was actually the confederate states of America in reference to the earlier American articles of confederation (pre-constitution system of gov with more state centric power) being a secessionist successor to the USA that failed. Union was never trying to be just the north as the union but the south was trying to be just the confederacy thus your confusion.
