I've been trying to setup an SMS program without Trello, this is PERFECT! Thanks!
Dude! Love your stuff. Saw this vid on Reddit and had to follow you. That config file tho. 😂😂 Subscribed, and notifications turned on! Looking forward to more stuff!
Haha, much appreciated :)
Definitely a lot more to come in the future ;)
This is awesome! You have earned a follow and subscribe from me. Keep it up dude!
I thought you were crying at the start lmao
Thank you very much for the video !!
Im new to all of this, is there a problem with this if you use powershell in the terminal bc the code is just bugging out for me
Hi, I would like to just send SMS without using the listener part. I configured SMTP settings for Google, but i gives me the following error: Error: No recipients defined
at SMTPConnection._formatError (index.js:771:19). I added my phone number to the "to:" field in config, but i get error. I'm trying with a Romanian phone number, could this be the problem? How should I format the phone number : +40XXXXXXXXX or 0040XXXXXXXXX or 0XXXXXXXXX? Thanks advanced, Steve
What application were you using to code?
How is your shell autocomplete showing up without pressing tab? Is it an oh-my-zsh plugin? Also I see Agnoster.
It's called autosuggestions

I think this only works in North America. In other parts of the world, phone numbers do not have associated email addresses. Can anyone else confirm this?
So each phone number is associated with a personal email there? I'm getting confused cause here I'm not getting anything like that.
It takes me several minutes to receive a text with this method. Anything more realtime? I want my fire alarm to text me if it goes off.
That's so much information. I'm confused by the way this is Nasreen
Is there a specific folder or some sort within the files to configure the user and password? Because when I run “node listen.js” I keep getting a AUTHENTICATIONFAILED Error: Invalid Credentials (Failure). Where do I set the credentials in order for this to work correctly?
Check the config.js file?
Should your carrier support mms for this?
From my understanding this isn't sent as an MMS. It's just an SMS, but I could be wrong about that
For some reason my phone on ios 14 cant send a text to a email adress.. when i fill in my email , and add a text message. And try to send it just bugs out. Any suggestions?
Could this software be use for the tv tuner on a raspberry pi?
Hello ok we can read email but not send.. you explain at the second part are not clear.. is realy work??
Working! However, in my Debian 10 system I had to add a line in the config.js "service:" section below the "to:'myphone'" for "user: 'me@gmail.com'". For whatever reason the "user:" in the "auth:" section was not passed to main.js. Thank you for doing this project. Answer to many things I want to do.
Having the same issue… What line and code did you have to add in order for the auth to pass?
funny thing is i got it to send but it won't send to the phone itself. you can see the message in the sent section of gmail. this is weird and starting to get me super annoyed. has this happened to anybody else?
fyi if i make new message in gmail it does send to the iphone i am using. super confusing
Upload a video on PiPhone...love from India

How to do this in python
Great stuff there buddy! I'd like to know how to do it with Python. Anyone got that?
ASA BiLaL!!!!
Looks great. I've tried this right now (I'm from Poland 🇵🇱) and it works only one way. I've received 'sms' on Gmail, but when I'm trying to send something back, I don't get it on my phone. Do I need this code to use it that way, or it doesn't work because of my operator (Orange)
Grzegorz Bobrowski ahh honestly not something I considered outside of the major service providers. I know atleast Sprint, Verizon, and Att will follow this and will deliver the message if you send the phone email out. I’m not too sure about other providers
@@AhadCove I've tested it with another phone from another provider. There was an info in the mail, that you can reply to this email, but only ONCE. So I don't think it is possible in Poland 🇵🇱 😕
Grzegorz Bobrowski aww sorry to hear that, but thanks for letting me know
Grzegorz Bobrowski if it’s a one time use though you could always have the listener running and anytime you text your pi a command it responds back with that one time use email. One app that I made does exactly this
@@AhadCove Orange is one of the major providers in Europe. Some research to be done but maybe this only works in the us
