when i applied to my first data analytics finance job in 2005, the position required a PhD in math/science and everyone who worked on our floor had one, except at the time i don't think i'd ever met anyone with a data or finance degree. everyone had one in like physics or math that had nothing to do with finance or data analytics. it might've had to do with the lateral skills that came with the degree. i think these days things are changing and our company no longer requires those degrees anymore

software engineering is worst. Every article you read is all about making you feeling even more insecure about your coding skill and why you even choose to code. They always make it their duty to preach to you, patronize you and talk down to you when you ask for help. I am actually glad that ChatGPT is now in the conversation. I dont care if software development becomes obsolete in the near future. ChatGPT please make gate keepers obsolete. Please make arrogant software developer obsolete!!!
