I do own a set of these avenger XD reels, but they sound like a coffe grinder when reeling in. Bit of a disapointment there, but the looks on the other hand are good

I have the same issue. Didn't took them apart yet, but it sounds like a severe lack of lubrication. Did you try to treat them with some oil/grease?
