What is you actual computer / workstation? Is it a Mac Pro? I have to say I'm sometimes struggling with all my VSTs and "just" a MacBook Pro to run them...
Thank you so much for sharing all your equipment, and entire setup with us! I'm truly grateful and inspired since this will increasingly help me for what I have to look for, as I want to become a composer myself. ☺️❤️ Amazing video as always Zach, keep it up!
The Etsy facer piece is SLEEK! I wanted a custom pitch/mod set, so I could use it with my digital grand. No one seems to make those. Thanks for sharing, Zach!
Thanks for the studio tour! I see you are you are using logic Pro as your DAW,,, but the only Mac is the I-pad. Do you have another Mac under the desk or ?? I have considered the Mac studio for my studio but the peripherals are so spendy,,,, what main Computer do you use other than the Imac and,, for midi control are you using the Thunderbolt connections or USB 3.2 x2? I'm getting ready to upgrade my studio and I definitely want to use orchestral samples. A video on how your system is set up would be helpful( your ssd drive setup and storage). Thanks . Great vids!
Thanks Santi! I'm using a 2017 27" iMac with 64gb of RAM. It holds up against my 250 track template as long as everything is unloaded at the start, though I'll likely upgrade near the end of this year!
If you would have to make a list of priority on what order to get the gear in, as well as the sound libraries and VST if you're starting from scratch, what would it be? Thanks for sharing, love the videos and all the other ones!
You can use either, but slower drives mean slower reading/writing when saving, dragging files, or loading samples, so you'll see a slower performance overall if the drive speed is lower than that of your computer.

Thanks dude! Yeah I'm amazed how great it is for like $90, it's significantly cheaper than most of em out there!!
It’s fun seeing your setup Zach! Happy New Year!

Thank you very much for your great videos 👍
With the Beyerdynamic Headphones and the Yamaha HS5 are you happy with the control over the lo end mix?
Thanks! I mostly mix with the headphones, but yes I'm happy with the Beyerdynamics! Missing a little subs but overall very pleased 👍🏻
Amazing! Take care
Nice. Thank you!
May I ask what brand of USB hub that is? Don't think I've seen one with that many slots before..
do you use a macpro? ram memory? thank you so much for your videos!!!they are very interesting and inspiring. And your music is awesome!

Daw. Then just start writing music. The rest will probably arise naturally.
Where did you get the window from? You didn’t leave ana affiliate link. I think this is what is stopping me from being a great composer!
Sorry, I've got to keep SOME of my trade secrets 😉
hello Zach, you have external drive to run your VST ? is it fast enough via USB ? i was thinking only SSD could read and load samples fast.
Hey Yvan, I'm using Thunderbolt ports instead of USB, so they're much faster!
@@ZachHeyde I understand better, thank you !
Hi Zach, when you use cinematic studio strings, do you pan the tracks? or not since the CSS series come prepared? Thanks!
I do slightly! But I make sure to do a stereo pan, which is not the default in Logic!
@@ZachHeyde thanks!
Can you use any SSD or do you recommend ones like you do ? (They are very pricey) Also what difference does it make when I use an HDD instead?
You can use either, but slower drives mean slower reading/writing when saving, dragging files, or loading samples, so you'll see a slower performance overall if the drive speed is lower than that of your computer.
@@ZachHeyde got it, thanks!
